I recently moved into the neighborhood and needed to find a new salon. After reading some reviews I made an appointment with Jackie and I am so happy I did! The conversation was easy and flowed throughout my cut. I needed a cut and wasn't sure what I wanted exactly! She sat with me for a few minutes and discussed my options! I loved that she took her time! After my hair was dried she checked it over again. My blow out was also perfect! Looking forward to going out tonight!! See you ladies in a few months for a trim!

The hair gods answered my prayer :) I've been to quite a few salons all over the place - red hair is hard to master & I have a lot of it which makes it ever more challenging. I cannot say enough good things about this spot - in particular my colorist Angela. Place is quite trendy & anytime I've gone it's always busy but I'm taken on time - shampoo girls are friendly & the overall vibe of the salon is calm but fun Back to angela - I found her on Instagram and while red heads she has the magic touch it seems color in general is her passion & it shows I would recommend this spot in a heartbeat!

Hair by Jackie makeup by Katie both amazing!

As always an amazing job by Jackie and Katie I have a wedding to go to today and they always make me look beautiful! Can't say enough wonderful things about this business !

The entire front left section is now a bang :(

This is an edit to my previous review. Jackie fixed my haircut and did a beautiful job. I appreciated the time she took during my consultation to understand what the issue was, and listening to how we I wanted to fix it as well as making some suggestions. She did a great job blending the jump in the front of my hair with the rest of my hair by adding and shaping my layers. She made me feel extremely comfortable even though she was revising my cut. I would come back to see Jackie. First time here, it seemed great, got great reviews, some of my clients recommended them; they're right around the block from my job and were able to fit me in last minute for a cut. I left with a huge hole in my hair. My stylist kinda picked through the back of my hair really quick (not really looking at what I already had cut and layer wise) and sent me to the sink. I told her I wanted to keep it long, that I think the front of my hair is really thin and she said "yea whatever you want". I came to the chair and told her my goals were the style and length she had and she started cutting. She had me feel the back before cutting the front and the length felt good. Then she cut the left front side and I caught a glimpse in the mirror and now my entire front section was a bang because she had tried to cut an angle in the front and since I had choppy layers (which again she never looked at the front of my hair) throughout that entire front section was now the same length. Same thing with the right just not as bad because I part my hair away from that side. At the end when she was blowing me out I think she realized what she did because she kept on trying to camouflage it by blowing everything forward (which I never will where my hair that way). At the end when she was recapping what she did I asked if she was going to clean up my layers (because I think after cutting the perimeter and seeing what she did panicked and focused on the blowout) and she said she did. Which again every other haircut I've gotten even if I'm wet they pull the hair out to see what the layers look like and she never did that before cutting or while cutting. And then pointed out I "needed to let the front grow" and I said "because they're a huge step". She said yea it must be from the breakage from me pulling my hair back and I said "or the fact that I had choppy layers" and she said "yea or that, no one will notice besides me" and I said "I did" and thanked her paid and left. Now I've also noticed after my mother so kindly pointed out that the front sides aren't even even. There's really nothing I can do because obviously you can't glue hair back on, I'm just annoyed 1)because the obvious hole in my hair, 2) if she had taken two extra minutes to look at my hair it would have turned out better

I came here for hair and makeup prior to attending a family wedding. I was there with 4 other family members, and we all had a fantastic time there! The entire staff was friendly and welcoming, and everyone looked amazing when we were finished. All of the hair stylists knew the regular customers who came in, and the morning was full of laughter and conversation. It was an amazing experience! I'm not local to the area, but if I was, I would certainly make this my salon of choice if I was.

Place was nice, pricing varies with each visit. That usually turns me off to a place. Roots & a blow out shouldn't be $185.

Missy was super nice and thorough and took the time to discuss my hair with me, make suggestions and listen to my concerns. She and Gia were so kind and did everything they could to make me feel comfortable, and I was really happy with my immediate results. Now that I have been here for the third time and I feel like what my old salon did to my hair color is behind me, I can truly say that my hair has never looked better. Missy is a master with color and cuts and Gia is so amazing and gentle with blowouts and styling that not only did I love my hair, but I also felt like I had just had a massage. I felt so much happier and better about myself when I left the salon, and I received more compliments on my hair yesterday than I did in all the years of going to my old salon. As a bonus, the shop itself is lovely, immaculately clean and fun. Missy has given me helpful tips as to how to care for and style my hair at home, has recommended products and has been honest with me about cut, color and styling suggestions to suit my hair and face. AND, Gia's blowouts last for days! If you are looking for stylists who will make you look and feel your best, come to Missy & Gia at Salon Plush. I'm so happy I did!

Upon arriving you can either park in front off Merrick Rd, or there is a parking lot and additional entrance in the back. I was scheduled with Victoria for a blowout - she was very friendly and easy to talk too, and most importantly, she listened to what I wanted! I initially wanted to try a blowout with curls, but let her know I usually opt for straight hair, so I may or may not like the curls despite my request to try something different. After curling my hair, which originally looked great, unfortunately the style itself was just not for me. She was very easy to provide feedback too and let me know her main priority was that I walked out happy. We worked together until the style was right, and I walked out loving my hair!!

The staff was nice, the salon was clean and pleasant and didn't smell like harsh chemicals or smoke (you'd be surprised by how many do). It had a subtle ambiance perfect for a weekend cut. I had Lisa cut my hair and besides the wash, she was the only person doing my hair. That was so unexpected because at other salons I would have multiple people doing my hair due to double or triple booking and only have the main stylist check in every now and then. I was so happy to have the focus entirely on me especially because I was super nervous as I have had bad experience with salons before. Lisa was patient and knew exactly what I wanted from my brief description. She did the cut in steps so I wouldn't be too shell shocked by the end result and asked for my feedback about layering. Most people who hear the words "I haven't gotten a haircut in a while" immediately want to push a full chop onto their client, but Lisa evaluated my hair and suggested we keep the length and even out the ends/cut off all the dead hair. She gave me a bunch of tips about maintaining my hair's health so I can get it to the next stage that I want (eventual bleach). And on top of that, the cut was extremely affordable!!! I'm so happy with my experience here at Lacole and I'll definitely be back.

Thank god because there are hardly any great salons in the area that also have reasonable prices and incredible hospitality. Lisa, the owner, is extremely welcoming and easy to talk to... she knows the business and makes you feel very comfortable. Christina did my blowout perfectly (and so quickly!!). I was so impressed. She didn't put a crazy amount of product and took great care of my hair. I'm pretty particular because my hair has a lot of heat damage, but she nailed it. The blowout was $25!! LET THIS BE YOUR SIGN TO NOT COME IN!!!!!!!! The worst hair salon i ever been to ruined my hair,…read moredamaged my hair completely rude stuff UNHYGIENIC Hi so i came in and i noticed quickly everyone basically had attitude expect the younger brunette girl, the girl doing my hair seemed upset she didn't even say anything introduce herself, She was pretty rude she told me WHO DID your hair ? it looks bad whoever did it last did a terrible job, my hair was not bad walking in i'll even post pictures of before and after, also there was drawers with hairbrushes cigarette buds and dirty napkins sooo digusting it was dirty and also the hairbrushes and towels smelt like mildew completely such a disgusting smell i had to hold in my nose, the lady doin my hair lights was tiffin, and she was really aggressive putting the foils she like hurt me by yanking and also when the other lady took them out it was very aggressive i noticed everyone was super aggressive and not gentle at all i don't know why. so the lady proceeds to leave the bleach in too long (tiffin) and my hair starts breaking off into chunks and falling out from the moment she took off the foil rinsed and blow dried MY HAIR NEVER FALLS OUT VERY rarely, i have been bleaching since over 6 years this has not happened ONCE to me like chunks ere coming out, my hair felt so knotty and like a gummy texture so damaged. So she tried to hide the hair, from the hair brush but it was falling all over the place my friend says, oh your hair is falling out pretty heavy and i said oh wow it is and i noticed if i touched it hair was coming off just falling off it was crazy so i was like yeah it's falling out i stood calm. To be respectful but this over weight blonde lady comes, and starts screaming at both of us calling us imbeciles saying we are not professional hair dressers, and she kept asking us sarcastically yelling ARE YOU A HAIR DRESSER, and she says you are saying the hair is falling out but welcome to being blonde, it happens. The other lady who put the bleach in tiffin says yeah well that's what happens you had very damaged hair and if you keep up you'll be bald (i'm sending pics of my hair before nowhere near bald) Also, if my hair was damaged why did she convince me to get a full set of highlights instead of full? she also seemed mad i was having a conversation about what i wanted she was literally signing, and so mad for no entire reaosn it was the worst experience of my life and i can't believe the other lady screamed at us and called us names, she said if you don't wanna pay we'll just take brown hair dye and dump it on your head so it can be like the way it was before, with all that root you had, and threatened to call the cops i said go ahead and call them, they did i just paid and left to avoid conflict but it was the worst experience of my life, i also forgot to mention that i paid for a blowout I DID NOT receive they charge 45 for a blowout, but if you don't pay for it after paying 270 for a full set of highlights you walk out the salon with wet hair , so i needed to pay the extra 45 which i said i was fine with but the lady just blow dried it normally and didn't even blow it out pretty with the brush, so i asked her why she didn't and she said okay its on the house dont worry. then i was Charged 80 dollars for it !!!!! and they told me if i don't pay they're going to put the brown hair dye in my head and call cops, i was scared honestly of them they were 2 over weight tall ladies who seemed like they wanted to fight with me. such a disgusting experience
