Membership is a SCAM!!! I signed up with the understanding that I was in a 3 month contract, sounds reasonable I intended to come anyway. After the three months I just wasn't going enough to make it worth the monthly charge so I went in to cancel. NOPE they said I actually had to wait FIVE months! I asked to speak to a manager they said she wasn't on site and she'd call me that day, two days later finally speak to a manager she says what if I lower your rate for the next two months see if you try coming in more, I asked her very clearly if this was the case would I be able to cancel after to which she said YES. I went in last week to try and cancel because again I AM NOT USING THEIR SERVICES and they said I'd have to wait ANOTHER TWO MONTHS. I explained this is not what I was told the last time I tried to cancel and the woman said because they gave me a discount I had to wait another two months... excuse me what??? That is not what I was told when I tried to cancel after my three months. I then asked if I could speak to someone higher up they said "you can look for a number online" again WTF! This review is not about the facility itself I really enjoyed it and the staff is nice but be very aware if and when you actually get a membership it is a scam and good luck getting out of it they will never let you go!!!! read more

Very messy membership policy. Place was nice, but after a year of being here noticed the workout videos NEVER changed. It was the same workout every time. When I signed up I was told you can cancel at any time. I called to cancel over the phone on Oct. 31 and they told me they require a 2-month notice, so I would still be charged for Nov & Dec. (Annoying, but I agreed). I went in on Nov. 20 & they told me that they had no notes of me canceling and that cancelling over the phone was impossible because it required a signed document. Meaning that I was now going to be charged for Dec & Jan. The employee I spoke with over the phone never explained that to me or I would have came in to cancel. Overall I would not recommend this place, its over priced & repetitive. If you want to cancel think 2 months ahead & avoid doing the family plan. Forgot to mention - you HAVE to purchase their mat and towel which is an additional $100. You cannot bring your own. read more

Ridiculous agreement, you are scammed all the way to the end of the "term" so even if you sign up and cancel the studio pretty much still makes 6 months worth of payments which is not disclosed properly. I moved out of state was told agreement would be canceled that day and not charged and 2 months later it's still being charged , the manager lied about what she could do for me when I went in to talk to her. This place crams 3 people in a small sauna and most of the members have little to no curtesy of others. Don't waste your time and money it's a huge scam to watch the SAME videos every single time nothing different ever! read more

I absolutely love the workouts offered and it's been one of the best gym experiences as far as the workouts go. I have been a bit disappointed about how booking classes go and I'll be honest, booking 3 people in a small space is too much. I was told that I can easily text or call to book out the space so I can work out alone, and in the beginning, it was easy. As time has gone on, it's become more difficult to get a hold of someone as they don't check messages when they're not staffed. Hotworx! It would be so wonderful if you would make it easy for us to book it out on our own over the app... Please make that an option!! Otherwise, the workouts are great. read more

Love this studio! The facilities are clean and well maintained. I'm a mother and love coming to this studio since it's 24 hours I can go before or after work. The staff is so sweet and they're always there to help you out. I highly recommend Hotworx if you're looking to add something to your gym routine or spice up your workouts. The workouts are short and effective and you see results quickly. People complain about their policy to have a Hotworx branded mat and towel but it really is an investment into your fitness. When I say OBSESSED.. it's an understatement. I'm a workout girl.. gym, home, outside walks.. all of it, and I've completely stopped all other workouts because HOTWORX covers it all for me. The workouts are challenging, engaging, and fun. I've been using Hotworx for almost 3 months now and my body has definately toned up. I'm 36 and in the best shape I've been in, probably since high school. The sauna atmosphere has also helped to clear my acne, and made my skin smoother. I expressed interest back in the fall about Hotworx and signed up for their "early access" that would happen in late fall. Early access was $15 and it was to make sure that you locked in the founders rate if you decided to join after the two weeks free. I asked what would happen if I canceled it forgot about it and never showed up, they said "nothing! You have to be in person for your orientation and to start your membership." Which was perfect for me because I had told them I wasn't sure if I would still be interested. In the middle of December I got an email saying it was open and to come schedule an orientation to start your free two weeks. Well, December got busy and I forgot. To my surprise, on January 1st. I woke up to a charge of $75 from hotworx... how? I never signed up for a membership OR scheduled an orientation. When calling to ask what happened, they said that it automatically locked me into a 3 month contract. I didn't have a choice at that point, so I bought the $100 yoga mat and towel (waste of money IMO) and started coming. They told me after the three months if I wanted to cancel, I had to give 60 days notice - so really, you are in a 5 month contract! So on February 28th, right before month 3 of my membership, I emailed them to give them notice of my cancellation. They called me the next day while I was at work, left a voicemail telling me I needed to call back and get this squared away, so I call back around 6PM - no answer but I left a message. The next day I call back to see what was going on and Skylar told me they cancelled my membership effective immediately - 1 month early of my 3 months which are "mandatory." Although they didn't charge me for month 3, I found that the entire thing was a waste of money. Why not just refund me on January 1st when I initially asked for a refund? Why force a 3 month contract, and then cancel on them at the end of month 2? The policies here are not clear at all. One thing that I did in fact like about hotworx, was that it was open 24 hours. However, the classes STAY THE SAME FOR THREE MONTHS AT A TIME and then they switch. So you are taking the same classes every day - more variety is definitely needed because I didn't even experience a different workout class during my two months there Anyway, the gym itself is a 3/5 but the shadiness caused them to be a 1/5 star for me. read more
