Does every Dr. Make you wait an hour plus before they see you? Ugh! The front desk staff go from moody to cool, the medical staff are more upbeat and easygoing. Dr. Waddel is a straight shooter but can be on the insensitive side at times. Anyway, the practice is a patient centered medical home so they offer more than just your primary care services including mental health and nutrition. I've been coming here for a year so they must be doing something right. If I could do 1/2 stars they'd get 3.5.

1 star -- do not go here…read more This office is a masterclass in incompetence and greed. Appointments are chronically late, repeatedly confirmed, and then canceled anyway. During one visit, a nurse confused me with another patient and attempted to give me a shot I did not need. The only reason it didn't happen is because I stopped her and told her to verify. That is a terrifying level of negligence in a medical office. Patients are told they may only discuss two "problems" per visit -- their word -- and are charged if they dare mention anything else. This practice nickel-and-dimes patients relentlessly: * $25 for work paperwork * $30 for prescription refills * $45 to transfer records * $150 for bringing up a third issue I was double-charged for a visit and then blamed for their billing mistake. You're forced to complete 20+ pages of paperwork ahead of time, only to be made to redo all of it once you arrive. The front desk staff are rude, dismissive, and wildly incompetent. Dr. Waddell does not appear to care about patients at all -- only revenue. Visits are rushed, impersonal, and transactional. In a telemedicine appointment, she was two hours late and didn't even offer a simple apology. I switched providers and immediately saw the difference: respect, accountability, and actual care. This office provides none of that. I would actively warn anyone considering Dr. Waddell to stay far away.

They call you back and don't leave you the extension so its impossible to get in touch with them because you get routed to general number. So after I informed him that prilosec is category c and protonix is class b, he stopped to look up the info on his cell phone. Uhhh, I already did that doc! That's why I came to see YOU, the medical specialist, for expertise and a script. He didn't have any insight or useful to say regarding the other issue I inquired about either, basically referring me to a Dermatologist and Gastroenterologist. No one likes needing urgent care; especially on a Sunday. So when I decided I needed to see someone…read moreon a Sunday, finding a place that was not only open but seemed competent was important. Despite some negative reviews, I decided on Medical Access and I'm super glad I did. I was there right when they opened (right on time!) and let in promptly with a few others who were waiting. Due to not being first, and also not having made an appointment, I expected to wait. And I was informed by the receptionist that there were 6 people ahead of me (3 walk in, and 3 online/telehealth visits) and that it could be "a while." I was directed to fill out some paperwork in my car, which I did. Due to the nature of my complaint when I returned the paperwork, I was directed to provide a urine sample. I can't say I was provided much instruction and if I had never done that before, I might have been a little confused walking into the restroom, but I managed to figure it out. That was the only time I sensed that the receptionist didn't want to do much work or came off as uncaring. When I returned to the desk, I was told to return to my car and I would be contacted. Not more than 10-15 minutes later, a nurse came out to my car and asked me more about my symptoms (their nature, when they started, etc), as well as my height and weight, and then said I would be contacted in 20-25 minutes.  She was very nice (I wish I had gotten her name) and I have no complaints about her.  Not even another 15 minutes later, I received a call from Dr. Raval, who asked about any other symptoms, explained what the immediate urine test showed, and what she would be doing, including the medications she was prescribing.  She had already looked up my preferred pharmacy and sent in two prescriptions! I was in and out and on my way in under an hour, and the prescriptions were indeed waiting to be filled when I got to the pharmacy.  For expecting to wait, I really can't complain about being taken care of in an hour.  And Dr. Raval was super sweet, didn't make me feel rushed, and even though we never met, I felt like she cared, listened to my concerns, and was competent (definitely important in a healthcare provider). All in all, if I needed urgent care in the future, I would definitely go back.

I asked her one simple question, do you accept Blue Shield Blue Cross Insurance, she says "I do not know please hold.....Okay now what was your question...(I tell her again)" she then says "you must call your insurance carrier and ask them first" So your telling me you do not know what kind of insurance your office accepts, get out of here. So I avoid the insurance question and ask her how much is the office visit, she says "Its $85 to $435" That is a huge gap. Unfortunately at this point I was very annoyed by her, especially the tone of voice and speed at which she was talking, its like she is jogging and wants to say as many words as possible like she is in some kind of marathon.

The receptionists and the ladies in the front are very professional, efficient, and no-nonsense. Claudia, the nurse in the back, is also very straightforward, quiet, and asks you about your history and issues. Dr. Kusic? HE IS SO AWESOME! He has a great sense of humor and is quite hilarious, but also very professional, listens to you, knowledgeable, straightforward, and doesn't rush at all. He gives you plenty of time to change your garments, answers all your questions without any shaming, and sits down to talk to you for a bit before you leave (for prescriptions and any other questions in his office). Prescriptions are sent digitally so your meds are already ready for you when you get to your preferred pharmacy. Parking is a little limited, but can be found in the lot with some patience. +ask for Dr. Kusic!

When we went to make our annual appointments only to be told that our P.A. of nearly all those years was no longer with the practice!! It would have been nice to have been told before that. Anyway, we were assigned someone new and, because I have high blood pressure that has been uncontrollable, the new MD told me all heart related topics should be handled by my cardiologist from now on. Fair enough! So, along with our trusted P.A. leaving the practice, they have hired a downright NASTY woman to call and remind me that I am old and must be seen far more frequently than annually or they won't refill my prescriptions! Fortunately the the Cardiologist is conducting monthly tests as he adjusts my BP meds which include blood tests. Every single result is sent to my Primary Care practice as well as Cardiology. When I explain this to Ms. NASTY, she tells me I still must come in to be seen by them. Why? So they can make more money. I'm sorry but I find that just plain crooked. So, as of three days ago I have no more Metformin 509mg and they call that "care"?
