I highly HIGHLY recommend Dr Hough to everyone!! I've had a neck misalignment due to a fall for 25 years and hip misalignment due to an injury for 15 some years which had caused uneven gait, posture, and recent unbearable pain. I've been having low back pain near my pelvis for a little over a year. I had gotten into a car accident where the other driver t-boned me and so I got a hernia from that. I went to a previous chiropractor while the case for that was still open, but it didn't help really heal me. Not only was I without a car but I had horrible back pain. It sometimes caused me to be bed-ridden from how much it hurt. I had to wobble and would just struggle to get up. The pain eventually went down my leg more as well. Once the case closed out, a friend recommended Hough to us. We were desperate to try anything, even surgery. We gave it a shot and Dr. Hough has been helping so much with my pain. He is super knowledgeable and gives me the lowdown on everything so that I'm actually informed on what's going on. The treatments have lessened my pain and has made it easier to function for a longer period of time. I'm still mid-treatment with him but I have more hope that I'll get better. I highly suggest people come to him. Sure, it may be pricier than some other random chiropractor but it's worth it. Dr Hough is a magician! I remember the first day I came in to see him because of my upper back/neck pain. I could hardly turn my head side to side. He worked his magic on me, which instantly increased my range of motion significantly and calmed down some of the pain. I was referred to Doctor Hough back in 2020 by my dentist of all people. He really worked with me and my back. Corrected and realigned my spine and fixed my overall balance. Apparently, I'd been unbalanced for many years and suffered from many headaches and lock jaw from excessive clenching. I've been seeing Dr. Hough for my neck and back issues for several years. He's helped me get to the point where I only needed to go once or twice a year for an adjustment. I was referred to Dr. Hough after a really bad car accident. my entire body was in pain and i wasn't able to do much. this also affected a lot of my work because i have 2 jobs and am a Make Up Artist as well; so i spend a lot of time on my feet. After the first 2 sessions i had there was such a noticeable difference. (of course still some progress to go but i felt a lot better to where i was unable to even fall asleep. I just had the best experience I've ever had at a chiropractor and I've seen over ten. I saw Dr. Hough for the first time due to a rotator cuff injury. For nine months I've been getting weekly physical therapy with little improvement and lots of pain. Dr. Hough is a wonderful Chiropractor. I have had chronic thoracic and lumbar back pain for 30 years, related to a couple of car accidents. He has done many different modalities on me which have helped diminish my back discomfort. He focuses on your cervical spine first, because if your neck is out of alignment your entire spine will be. He has placed me in a spinal stretching device that has greatly helped with my back pain. Not trustworthy. I don't know how he is as a chiropractor, but I wouldn't use him for anything, since he seems so dishonest. I bought a groupon for a facial from this place, which was for "Hough Chiropractic & Body Sculpting" - for a month I called and left messages, which were never returned. When I finally drove to see if this place even exists I discovered he is no longer in the suite listed on the groupon, but luckily found him down at the other end of the hall (it is a nasty building). Mr. Hough told me that he is closing this Fountain Valley office, and moving to Long Beach. He claims he has already moved the aesthetic aspect of his business to Long Beach, but there is no evidence of that. He also told me that he did not know vouchers were being sold on groupon/livingsocial, and that he has never heard of the phone number listed there (855-765-7546), even though the voice mail clearly says that it is for Hough Chiropractic. Definitely do not buy any of the many aesthetic vouchers offered by this guy on groupon/living social - you will never get a call back (the real number to call is 714-633-9532), and he will just tell you that you have to request a refund from them. Again, I don't know how he is as a chiropractor but he seems very dishonest to me, and I wouldn't trust him with something as serious as my health. read more

Dr. Hough is great! He doesn't do the regular crack adjustment; instead he does soft tissue work and uses this tool for specific adjustment locations. And his focus goes beyond the spine. I have visited Dr. Hough many times in the past years, mostly due to sports injuries. Recently, my left elbow started flaring up, resulting in numbness and tingling sensations in a couple of my fingers. Each day, I had to use ice to reduce the swelling and the soreness in my left arm. Dr. Hough first checked and adjusted the alignment in my neck and spine, then proceeded to treat the soft tissue damage. After the initial treatment by Dr. Hough, I did not have to apply ice on my arm anymore. After the second treatment, the numbness and tingling had been reduced to about half of what they were initially. I look forward to my subsequent sessions with Dr. Hough, and would highly recommend his treatment with injuries similar to mine. read more

As a professional dance competitor, who is also training to become a fire fighter, it is safe to say that my body gets a lot of wear and tear. I had a dance fall onto my head from about 6' in the air, where my partner fell on top of me immediately afterward crunching me in half. The damage was so bad I couldn't walk. My friends told me about Dr. Hough and carried me to his office. I was literally crawling I was in so much pain. He talked me through his process and took x-rays. I would swear he did nothing to me after but tiny flicks behind my ear with what I like to call the "weird machine". And could suddenly walk. The difference in movement made me a believer. I mean, in one hour I could walk! I have never experienced such a dramatic turnaround in my life. And I have had Many high flying injuries. The coolest thing about him? 1) he actually cares about his patients, there have been days where I had an injury on one of his off times and he'll let me come in. 2) He has an easy, non-bone-cracking style that is great for people who are afraid of Chiropractors. 3) He has experience with athletes, and knows how to work with them and get you on the road again fast. 4) When he fixes me, it's done. My son is a surfer and his job is very physical. He found Dr. Hough and experienced such relief that he wouldn't stop talking about him! His exact words were, "Dr. Hough is a G! He fixed me!" Haha teenagers:) I've been going to chiropractors since I was 14 and was looking for a new one. I went to Dr. Hough and learned about his upper cervical method, which is unlike any chiropractic I've experienced before. The gentleness with which he adjusts you is so deceiving because you feel as if nothing been's done.....BUT then you feel better instantly, and you see your "after" x-rays! And WOW! As soon as he adjusted my neck my sinuses began to drain, I could feel blood returning to my arms and hands, and my stomach started to gurgle (when my mid to low back is out my digestion ceases to function). Truly amazing. It is instant. Dr. Hough's bedside manner is so sweet, but never condescending. He makes sure you understand everything he's doing BEFORE he does it. He explains that studies show that patients who are informed about the treatment and care they are given heal faster and are more cooperative. He helps you....to help yourself. He really is passionate about his work. I'm probably going to say this wrong, but my neck was 4 degrees off my atlas, and twisted. He was able to correct that and I ended up being just 1/2 a degree off. A 3 and 1/2 % correction! He was giddy! He was truly so happy to have achieved such an amazing correction. Also, in the past when I'd get adjusted, I would fall back out of alignment almost immediately. Sometimes while walking out of the chiropractor's office! I was lucky if my adjustment "held" for 2 hours, and even then it only stayed if I was extremely careful. The adjustment Dr. Hough gave me held about 3 days. This is a miracle for me. I will continue to get treated by Dr. Hough until I only need to see him for maintenance. Hours from home at a dance competition for the weekend, I began experiencing some rather severe symptoms resulting from a recent car accident. I was having dizzy spells and severe ear ringing (as loud as a rock concert) anytime I turned my head too quickly. I had severe neck nerve pinch which caused a serious headache, faceache, toothaches, twisted muscles. I tried many chiropractors and physical therapists. While one of the physical therapists helped me tremendously, but I know something in my cervical was still having problems. One day I saw a YouTube that shows the Atlas Orthogonal Chiropractic on "The Doctors", I decided to give it try. (You can search "Atlas Orthogonal Chiropractic on the Doctors" on YouTube, then you know what it is about). There aren't that many chiropractors practice this, and I found Dr. Hough. Dr. Hough spent more than one hour with me for the first session. He explained the whole process to me in detail and also provided information on papers so I can read. He took 3 x-rays of my head and neck together: front, side, and top. Then he did his calculations. If you watch the YouTube then you understand what I'm saying. Just a few taps on the atlas bone, most of my pain just went away immediately. The neck motion range is way bigger too. Since then I feel much much better overall. I visited him more frequently at the beginning to get everything corrected. After many months later, I didn't need to visit him as often. I visit him periodically when I know I messed up my neck due to bad posture. Dr. Hough also is very caring. He really cares about his patients and he wants you to get better.
