This was my first time going to a chiropractor for my spine. I've injured it from a work accident and from a car accident. I also have arthritis. I've been having pain in my neck and back and that's why I came to see him. I'll say that it does take some time to notice a difference. For me, about 8 sessions before I was starting to notice my pain lessen. What has been bothering me in my neck has been slowly getting less noticeable. Dr. Martin is fabulous! I came to him after dealing with excruciating pain in my lower back and down through my left leg. He took X rays to see what exactly was going on and explained I have many vertebrae out of place (subluxations) that were irritating nerves in my lower back (as well as in my neck/cervical area- which explains the decades of pain that I had come to accept.) I have been going to Dr. Martin for over 6 years now, I go in usually once a week. He has helped rehab through a car accident most recently and I can say I would be a lot worse off if I didn't have him as my go to chiropractor. He initially help me after a heart problem developed from stress. I also developed beginnings of scoliosis "s-curve" which through adjustments and stretches he taught me has since been minimized. I haven't had a need for a Chiropractor for years until last month after I suffered a cross-check playing ice hockey. I have since learned the whiplash caused a nerve root impingement between C6 n C7, of which Dr. Martin recognized there was something going on in that area soon after taking a cervical spine X-ray. I haven't found the right chiropractor for me since I left the Bay Area 6 years ago. I had an awesome chiropractor for 18 years so I definitely was looking for the right fit. My husband went to see Dr. Martin for a sciatica issue and recommended that I go see him for my plantar fasciitis pain. After getting checked out, even I could tell why I was so off balanced. I appreciate his approach to treatment and felt safe in his hands to adjust my neck. I had a previous chiropractor in the area and I felt it was a huge "no". Additionally, aside from the adjustments, he included laser and massage therapy treatments. I wish I could take the laser home! The first time used, I was shocked that the pain in my heel was greatly reduced. I've had this issue since the beginning of summer and anyone who's ever had this knows it's incredibly debilitating to every aspect of your life. So far, I've had three treatments and my mobility has improved. Previously, I felt like there was no vision of healing. Now, I feel like there's an actual ending point. First, Dr Martin's adjustments for my my neck and back are always a comfort and relief from any pain, stiffness or discomfort. But most recently and amazingly, he used the cold laser treatment on my forearm and elbow which has been a real blessing in eliminating the tendinitis pain which I had been experiencing for months. My only regret was in not seeking this laser treatment sooner as he had previously recommended, because I was pain free within the first six sessions he had planned for me. PTL! I have been going for adjustments to Dr. Martin's office for nearly eight years now. My lower back tends to get achy but after his adjustments, I always walk out of his office feeling light as a feather. I recently injured myself after excessive stair climbing and could barely move. I have had a very bad neck pain for a long time. Dr Martin is the fourth Chiropractor I have gone to but he is amazingly different than others! He not only does a great job when he does adjustments but also you understand that he cares about you. I was always wondering why none of the previous doctors asked me what I do when I go out of their office. Maybe I was doing something that was hurting my neck but none of them did! Dr. Martin is a great chiropractor who listens to his patients and does his utmost to heal back and neck pain. I injured my lower back in January. I had trouble walking and straightening my back. I also had trouble sitting comfortably. I have a high pain tolerance and I would rate the initial pain level at seven or eight. I had been suffering with upper back, shoulder and neck pain for over 10 years. I had seen doctors and physical therapists and had regular massages to get to the point of functioning again but I was never able to get even close to "normal". I had limited range of motion in my neck and wasn't even able to turn my head far enough to check my blind spot when driving. The fear of moving wrong and making anything worse was always with me. When I recently woke up one morning in agonizing pain barely able to get off my bed I was desperate to find someone to help me. I spent all day on the phone trying to find an appointment somewhere local. I stumbled across Dr. Martin's number that afternoon and crossed my fingers and called. I spoke to Dr. Martin personally on the phone. He listened patiently and said they would get me in to see him right away. I was able to get an appointment for first thing the next morning.
