Alisha was calm, walked me through the steps I needed to take to retrain her, answered a ton of questions and never asked for a dime. She was so incredibly helpful and she gave me hope that I can get my dog back on track! Because of this spectacular service I asked her if she would be willing to do some one-on-one training with my dog. We meet this Sunday and I am excited to see what else she can help us with. After your first in home visit, you're able to take your dogs to group classes which are held all over the city & suburbs. These classes are awesome for our reactive dogs - it gives them the exposure they need in a controlled environment. I have never been made to feel embarrassed or bad about my dog's behavior which I have experienced at other training organizations -- that is why we hired them! I really feel that I have a strong support system with Say It Once. While we (my fiancé & I) need to stay on top of training on our own, our dogs show so much progress each training sessions. I first looked into Walkers Pet Ho Tail after we "tried" to get our dog Bella, who is a rescue,…read moregroomed at a local PetSmart. Being a rescue dog you can't be absolutely sure what happened to her, except we know she was not treated well. Being armed with this we told the groomers that she may get irritated. Well she did, and they were not super helpful in coming up with a solution. I recommended using a muzzle and they refused. Seemed to me that that's not a very good practice and should be used for both the dog and the groomers safety if a dog is upset. What that left us was a half groomed dog. I called Walkers to find out how they handle dogs who aren't super excited about spa days and was told they handle a lot of irritable dogs and rescue animals. I asked about the muzzle and they said they do use them which relieved me as the other groomers kept saying she was trying to bite the clippers. They charge roughly $65.00 but that is for the works, bath, cut, teeth, nails, ECT. They do require a $30 deposit when booking simply because they have had their share of no shows. Bella has now been to their groomers a few times. She is still difficult to groom and they have asked us to have her vet prescribe something to calm her down. Even after giving her, what in essence was Xanax, she was still irritable per the groomer on her last visit, but she sure was happy when it was over! I am overall satisfied with our visits. They are able to completely trim here and make her look more professional...

She was able to quickly identify the things we were doing that were not working and teach us how to better communicate to our dog. Our beagle also had a lot of aggression with towards other dogs, so we thought. Kate arranged one of our sessions at her friend's house so that her friend and her large German Shepard could stand outside while we worked with our beagle's reaction. Kate immediately saw that our beagle was actually very fearful of the other dog and that what was causing his reaction. Within fifteen minutes we were walking down the street side by side with the German Shepard and its owner without my beagle flipping out! Kate offers sessions in the client's home at a reasonable price. You can pay per session or buy multiple sessions for a discount. As owners of a stubborn, yet oh so cute, beagle, we found our five sessions with Kate to be extremely valuable. We will use what we learned everyday of our lives as dog owners.

They have a safe environment and trainers that are able to provide my pup socialized skills, clarity in communication and time that I wasn't able to provide him with. Elissa is so kind, patient and very supportive. Honestly, all their trainers are so passionate about dogs, they care about them so much and advocate for the dog's success, they will all help you to become a better and responsible dog parent. I LOVE that they help me strengthen the bond with my beloved one and there for me all the way through (super responsive!) My pup came home more confident, focus and happy. He is now a proud CGC pup, were able to enjoy our outings safely together and have a great start to discover all the adventures life throws our way.
