We just moved to Dillsburg and we needed a groomer for Xena. Hound Haven was local so I thought we would give it a try. She had her appointment today and she looks awesome. Hound Haven is truly a haven for our Newfie. she is a big older girl with skin issues, she is claustrophobic with crates and is nervous with her nails being done because she was injured by another groomer in Florida. They were so kind and gracious and patient with her. Their prices are competitive and it's obvious they love what they do! We will definitely return and make them our new groomer! read more

Incredible service! When we lived in Dillsburg, they groomed our 2 corgis. They always came home happy and looked great. She is a very patient and loving groomer. Corgis can get bossy and temperamental and she was a pro with them. We have since moved away, but we drive 40 minutes each way just to go to Houndhaven. The boys have since passed away from old age, but we adopted another corgi at 3 and they do a great job with her. They are knowledgeable and very compassionate. I'm sad to see the one star review for Hound Haven. They do not deserve it. Having a pet takes great responsibility of, at a minimum, brushing them several times a week. This gives you the opportunity to also check your pet for fleas, ticks, matting and any injuries to their bodies. Grooming isn't just a monthly procedure by the groomer, it is our responsibility as pet owners to maintain them daily. Anything less is neglectful. Groomers of the caliber of Houndhaven groomers do not take shaving a dog lightly, they know the importance of maintaining the length of coat for protection of the dogs skin in both winter and summer. I was a professional groomer trained at the world-renowned Nash Academy of Animal Arts in Kentucky and a canine massage therapist trained at Bancroft School of Animal and Equine Massage Therapy in Worcester Mass. I know firsthand how matting in a dog's coat is harmful and extremely painful for the pet. I am retired now and sought out the best groomer for my babies and Houndhaven was the most skilled service I had found in the area. I have watched her groom through the window at the shop and she is very skilled, patient and compassionate. As long as I am able to responsibly care for pets, I will always take them to Houndhaven. read more

My sweet girl Molly loves Amanda at Hound Haven. Before grooming at Hound Haven she was anxious of dog grooming and now she happily goes to be groomed. They do a wonderful job and she always smells so good when I pick her up. Great job Hound Haven! read more

Wow! My poor dog! We requested a trim to 1/2 inch length. We experienced a "scalping" of my poor golden doodle. He is not himself. Almost like PTSD for the poor guy. We ignorantly thought most groomers were "comparable". Never again. My kids are heart broken and we are concerned for his health, especially as winter approaches. Not much explanation from staff as to the difference between what we wanted and what we got. Never again will we be using Hound Haven Pet Grooming!!! Took my Maine Coon kitty there for the 1st time today. The place was clean, the lady working there was super nice and treated my kitty like he was her own!! You can tell there is a genuine love for animals and that that is their priority!! Their prices are super reasonable!! We have definitely found our new go to groomer!! Amazing customer service with amazing groomers that truly care. They price their services so that you don't go broke trying to properly take care of your dog. My Chinese Crested Powderpuff looks amazing and was happy there which is very important to me. They know their trade and listen to their customers. I will be going back and recommending them to everyone I know in the area. They also help out local rescue animals which is wonderful and selfless.
