I visited the roasting facility yesterday. I've lived in the community for over 30 years and I passed the set of buildings they are in countless times. Still, each time I had tried to find it, I was unsuccessful. Yesterday happened to be a day where I could spend a little time researching and searching for it.
I'm pleased to announce that I found it. It's in the building set that's fronted by a cigar store, and I believe a dance studio. There's also at least one auto repair shop in the group of buildings perhaps they are all attached into one big building. I think it is only one floor high but I really don't remember that. There was plenty of parking in the back of the building. You had to travel down a little bit of a driveway to access the parking.
I describe this in case any of the readers have any problem finding it. I will say that there is now a very clear sign amidst two or three other signs in the front so you technically should be able to find it easily. I am not that type of individual. :-) nothing comes that easy to me. :-)
I also spend this time describing my finding this building because I think it was a worthwhile endeavor.
The entrance to the coffee roasting facility is very attractive with a handicap ramp, and the lighting inside is even more attractive. It is very spacious, welcoming and extremely clean (bordering on immaculate). As my trip was very purposeful, I did not study the whole environment but I think there was perhaps more to talk about. I think maybe there was a sitting area but I'm unsure of that.
There is a counter where you would go to make your purchase and there is a display next to the counter with various packages of coffee in some sizes or in my case K cups. The gentleman servicing me and another customer in the facility was helpful, friendly, and courteous.
He was confident to just let the product sell itself. I have looked at his YouTube channel and the coffee making machine is the exact one that's on the YouTube channel. So what you see is what you get.
My shopping experience perhaps lasted 10 minutes. 5 to 7 of those minutes were basically chatting with the roaster and the other customer. I was eager to purchase the K cups and I was able to get a quantity of three in a bag package for that specific quantity. I think the roaster could detect my eagerness to purchase and leave pretty quickly as I was out of there really quickly.
I had intended to sample my purchase the same morning but I was unable to do so until this morning. I found the coffee to be smooth and perfectly flavorful with just the right amount of coffee grounds in the K cup.
The K cup packaging for the individual serving was perfect. Moreover, the roaster indicated that the packaging of the K cup would be improving. I think he said that the ones that I purchased were recyclable but the improvement would make them somehow less hard to return to the environment? I forget exactly what the words were that he used to describe what the improvement would be. Maybe he use the word, "biodegradable."
All in all, it was a nice first experience. I'm glad I pursued it and I certainly will purchase more of the coffee. As I am the only coffee drinker in the house, I will likely only purchase small quantities because I only drink perhaps one cup per day and if my physician heard that I actually did, I would have to create plausible deniability read more
