Time to empty out your change jar because this place is cash only and I can never seem to get enough snacks! This is your typical hole in the wall raspa spot and it's at the top of my list when I need a pick me up! The parking is limited and hard to identify if you have never been. This is mostly a to go type place but they do have a picnic table or two you can sit at outside. Grab a mangonada or coconut raspa, you won't be disappointed! read more

Just what I needed to feel refreshed in this Houston heat!! I am glad I finally stopped by House of Mango to see what they had to offer. We tried the Rusa, it was good maybe a little too citrusy for my personal taste. But for me the winner was the CHAMORUSSA!! It has Mango, Strawberry, Chamoy, lucas, squrit, & Salsaqueti. My tastebuds were going crazy in the best possible way, in between the fresh taste of fruit and sparks of spice all mixed in the liquid. I have no idea what people are raving about. I feel cheated. People should be warned that the "mangonada" HERE is just ice blended with barely any mango. There were barely any mango flavor in it. I've eaten many mangonada and I can tell you I won't be coming back here for that. I've had mangonada in Dallas and there's this one place that was legit and so good! I have been craving a mangonada ever since I saw a picture on Yelp. Mango Island is in Spring Branch (a bit of a drive from my part of town) so I was super excited when I was in the area for an errand. There's limited parking, but that's ok because the service is quick. There's no seating area, you place your order at the window and eat it in the car. I decided to get their best seller, the mangonada. Everything comes in 3 sizes, small, medium, and large. It was awesome. Mango flavor shaved ice topped with mango puree and Lucas. It's the perfect blend of sweet, salty, sour, and spicy. My only complaint is that I wish it has chunks of real mango in it. Maybe I can special order that next time. They also sell snacks such as nachos and elote. Gotta try the elote next time! If you're ever in the area, stop buy Mango Island and give it a try! It's cash only! read more

Literally at the corner of Gessner and Whiteside. When it's hot and you know you're going to be stuck in traffic by Memorial, it's the best place to stop by. I always get the mangonada and nothing else. It's fruity, refreshing, and more snow cone like. read more

Mangonada! Mangonada! Mangonada! I just can't have enough of the mangonada. What is this you say? It's a snoball/snowcone with the mango and citrus flavor and spicy sprinkles of spicy power with a stick of spicy tamarind (see the pictures). It combines all of tastes of tart, sour, sweet and spicy in each bite. If you enjoy Lucas (Mexican sour candy), then you'll love this. I haven't tried the other flavors and I probably won't because I'm addicted to this mangonada! Just thinking about this place makes me salivate! It's located in the spring branch area. It looks like a storefront built on a side of a house. The people working there are very nice and polite. The service is quick. This place only takes cash! So come enjoy the mangonada! Snow cones are a blessing on a hot summer Houston day!! Found this place on yelp after getting out if the pool... Pictures of the mangonada made is go here. We ordered a mangonada, mango bomb (same thing as a mangonada with more chili powder), lemon lime snow cone, horchata snow cone, limon raspa (natural), and a chili cheese hot Cheetos. Snow comes are great... Not shaved ice but it's got nice texture! Flavors are also really good! No complaints here. Chili cheese hot Cheetos were good snack food... Pretty spicy. OMG this place is really good thank you "Yelp" I haven't had one of this in years and they where really good I have to say it was not spicy at all so if you don't like spicy treats this is good for you as well,they also have corns with mayo,cheese with lime and we also had a raspa or raspados with fresh strawberries and lots of condense milk if you ask for extra they will charge you but is totally worth it will be back if I don't find one closer to me since it was a long drive but while trying to get to know the city it was great to discover this little gem just look for the sing that says mr.natural and is right next to it. I found this place through a friend and she is now to blame for my addiction. This was absolutely fantastic. The parking is at a house and it's kinda small, but it's pretty quick so you're ordering/pick up time is within 10 minutes. But eating and driving? Don't do it guys. The mangonada was delicious! I ate off my boyfriend because I had no idea they had pieces of mangos in there. I personally ordered the chamoyada and it was addicting... until I got toward the bottom and it became SO SALTY, whoooooooo my lips was dying, but no worries, I eventually mixed the mangonada and chamoyada and it was a good blend hehe. I'm a sucker for lucas and Mexican flavored candy. This is all of that combined into a sno cone. I think they recently underwent new management or so since the pricing has changed a bit and they've gone a little conservative on the amount of chamoy sauce they pour into the cone. I got the mangonada and it was SO GOOD! The ice was so nice and soft and had the perfect amount of all the ingredients. Would have been nice if it came with fresh mango chunks inside though. And i don't remember what my husband got but he liked his too. Definitely will be coming back read more

Love the lady who works the counter. She's always smiley and friendly. My boyfriend's friend recommended this place to us over a year ago and we've been loyal customers since then. I don't know how this mangonada compares to other places because I've only ever had it here. However, I can tell you that the mangos are plentiful and the ice is finely crushed. It hardly ever gets watery-tasting because there is just so much flavor from the chamoy and from the abundance of mangoes and pineapples. Check this place out! And remember cash only! read more

Delicious treats! I tried the Mangonada and corn in a cup, both were great! The Mangonada has fresh mangoes and the chamoy straw brought it all together. Love the amount of spices on it. Very filling and service was quick. Staff was friendly and answered any questions I had. This place is located on a corner lot and is attached to a residence. Parking is almost non existent. Asked for a mango boom and they gave me a mangonada. When I politely told them I ordered a mango boom, they took it back scrapped the candy and added chili powder. Once again, I took it back and asked for my money she took it back. Hopefully they don't give it to the person after with COVID going around. Be careful. read more

Pina Colada was good but a little too sweet. First time having Mangonada, didn't expect the slightly salty sour spice powder. It's kind of like Hawaiian LiHing powder. I can tell that the owners are putting a lot of attention and care in their establishment. The staff looks like a determined team aimed to succeed. Well done! If I had to be picky, minor improvements can be for the tables to be periodically wiped down and cleaned. Overall, doesn't stop me from wiping my own table before sitting and enjoying my drink with the wifey!

It was late in the day but the laidback decorated space was packed, music not too loud with a pleasant vibe. I asked if I could get the pistachio dream with oatmilk and the server recommended against it saying it would make the drink too sweet. I appreciated her honest advice and got the dragonfruit strawberry refresher instead. It was definitely refreshing with the perfect amount of ice to keep it cold but not water it down. I also tried one of the mini croissants which is probably what will keep me coming back. Flaky and full of high quality cheese and spices, I wish I had gotten two! I'll definitely come back at an earlier time since a lot of the pastries were sold out.

Really good mangonadas along with other products, price is a little above around the area but I believe because of the flavors and products themselves, great variety and snacks plus if you are in a hurry they really don't take long at all even with long lines, parking is harsh but ok for the most part, make sure to bring cash as they don't take cards as stated. read more
