Mozzarella sticks ...we only eat 4 of 6...they were badddddd.

3rd time we came...it was good the first 2 but this time...apparently they make the place bigger so, it always means , servers kinda lost. 25 min waiting for the ribs...35 min waiting for a salad...not even like a wow salad...spring salad full of water...the ribs were cold, the mozzarella sticks were like fried 35 min ago...the thing that were supposed to be hot were cold and the salad was warm....WTF???? The waiter came to us with the menu, took the order and never came back...until 25 min later with the food...I wanted another beer...well....never came. Sadly...lost the charm...not coming back in a few ...until we forget about the experience...sad really the place was super good at the beginning.

    Pork ribs plate.

We ordered a full rack pork rib plate. It came with French fries, corn, biscuits, wings, Mac n cheese, and mozzarella sticks. The pork ribs were very tender. Wings were good. The fries were good, but was a bit too much. The next time, I think we'll get baked potatoes instead. It will fill you up. Highly recommend.

I conduct food tours in Tijuana. While exploring the the area in search of some new eateries to try, I stumbled upon this hole in the wall restaurant. I was not disappointed! I've been to several places for BBQ in Tijuana, and this eatery is the first that's gotten it right. I ordered a complete portion of ribs (bone-in) and it came with a side of fries, onion rings, or a baked potato. You get a choice of BBQ or Jack Daniel's sauce for the ribs, and I chose half and half. The ribs were excellent, and by far the best I've had in Tijuana! They tasted meaty and had a nice smoky kick. Both sauces were flavorful and very satisfying. The onion rings were also the best I've ever had. The batter was perfect, and melts in your mouth. I had such a fun time as I savored every rib and ring bite off of my plate! My only gripe is that the portions were somewhat small. Each rib was only 2-3 inches long. I had ordered the complete portion, planning on eating half and taking the rest home. Well, I ended up eating everything. I definitely expected more for a "complete" portion of ribs. They also only offer pork ribs, and it'd be great if they offered beef, especially considering the name of this restaurant. Anyhow, I'm really glad that I now know of a place in Tijuana for tasty, bone-in BBQ ribs! The atmosphere is also really nice, casual, and intimate with some interesting art, pictures, and decorations. I'll definitely be returning with guests. If you're craving some delicious BBQ in Tijuana, I highly recommend the House of Ribs.

The sauces were fire. Good beef ribs and fries. Great atmosphere. And the drinks on the drink list were delicious! Service was good as well.

No no its not a go!!! warm welcoming but It wasn't enough…read morefor me. We went to eat some protein! We kept having to flag down a waiter or one of the people handling the meat carvings. The selection of meat was very basic. I def should have checked on that before considering going. We kept getting offered sausage, tripe and burnt chicken. All those meats were over cooked for my liking. We also got picana and asked for filet mignon asked for medium, came out ok but burnt edges. It made it hard to eat. The carving portions were small kinda annoying to have to constantly wait or flag down a server for more. The meat was bland not even a little salt and pepper. Just not it. The buffet part was def not up to parr either. The salads look unappetizing, old. Same goes with all or most of the dishes that were offered. Ceviche, pastas, meat dishes. The kid friendly options were ok but even my kids didn't approve the pasta. We also had sangria which was ok, tasted more like a sour sparkling water. We didn't get a drink menu so we just kinda asked what they offer and opted for sangria. They have a kids room with an attendant which was pretty cool. It's the only reason my kids want to go back. The ambiance is decent. Not too loud, TVs around gave it a bar feel a bit. I wasn't expecting that. I believe the place is priced a little more on the higher side for what they offer. It didn't meet my expectations in food or service. I think it would be helpful to keep a better eye on buffet food. Wilted salads are not a good look. Provide more communication on what is offered for protein in this case. I don't go to Tijuana too often but when I do, I try a new restaurant. Stay tune for the next one.

This place is fantastic!…read more My wife ordered the pulled pork bbq sandwich (which came with french fries). The bbq pork was delicious, very high quality, and was very "soft". The french fries were some of the best we've had - cooked enough to be slightly "crispy" - and the seasoning they used was amazing. I ordered bbq beef ribs, which were cooked to perfection. Sides included a corn on the cob, and cole slaw. Both were very good. Our server was friendly, and attentive. He brought us beers along with a chilled glass mug. The restaurant (and the kitchen - which you could see) was very clean. You can tell that they take cleanliness seriously, and it's nice to see. The prices were very reasonable considering the quality (and large servings) of the food. Note: The restaurant is located in the "La Presa" area of Tijuana - which is not the safest. Day time won't be a problem, but I'd suggest not going at night - unless you live in the area. I can't believe I'm the first person to review this excellent restaurant on Yelp. If you do a Google search, you'll find many reviews (all positive) on some of the other review sites. All reviewers basically say the same great things. Over the last couple of years, my wife and I have tried a few different "highly rated" bbq restaurants in Tijuana - but this one is much better! If you live in Southern California, you might be familiar with Lucille's BBQ. La Presa BBQ has the same quality as Lucille's - for about one-third of the money. Therefore, we highly recommend this restaurant - and consider it to be the best bbq in Tijuana.
