    If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. I've had 4 dogs come here for both daycare and boarding over the last 6 years and we've had nothing but wonderful experiences. I'm very selective with who I let watch my dogs and Jess is one of the very few people I trust implicitly. My dogs are skeptical of most people but have always had so much fun & love Jess to death. Shes easy to work with, extremely responsive, and has so much love for every dog that walks through her door. I refer all of our friends here because it really is that special of a place. Added perk--she does hilariously cute holiday pics.

    Such an amazing place to bring our pup! Jess is an incredible owner and goes out of her way to make sure every dog is taken care of. We make the hour commute halfway across DFW, but there is no better doggy daycare and our pup absolutely loves it!

    Jess and team are amazing with my Bulldog (Dually). From the moment I met her I could tell she was knowledgeable and passionate about dogs, I immediately felt comfortable. I love that she pays attention to detail and really knows not only him but all the dogs she cares for. He comes home very happy and tired. Dually is a little reserved so I was hoping day care could help him socialize and break him out of his shell a little- I could immediately see improvement in him. I love that she posts on Facebook and Instagram so I am able to check in through out the day and get a peek at what he is doing. Not only does she run an amazing day care service but she also offers beautiful professional pet photography and does a great job capturing their personality. I am very grateful to have found her.

    Wow... long over due. Listen, this is the BEST place for all freaking dogs. Jess loves dogs like really LOVES dogs. I literally call her my dogs 2nd mom. I have 2 wiener dogs. They both have been with her since they were TINY. My fat sausage has a personality and on occasion will pee in acrobatic circles. He has pooped in her lobby, peed in her lobby, and probably many more horrific things she's to nice to tell me about. She's just the absolute best and if you have the privilege of getting in with her for a groom, or daycare they will be treated like ROYALTY by Jess I promise.     House of Wag is truly one of a kind. Have used their daycare, boarding, grooming, and photo services. Highest quality across the board. The pride the proprietor, Jess, takes in her business is undeniable and is evident in every aspect of House of Wag. Jess is amazing with all of the dogs. There is no one I trust as much as her with my dogs. Jess' knowledge of dogs generally and more specifically the dogs in her care is unbelievable. Unfortunately we moved away from Fort Worth to Houston, but still try to structure our trips back around getting our dogs into grooming/daycare while we are in town. When we travel we schedule our flights out of DFW just so that we can board with House of Wag. For us it's more than worth the extra time in the car on both sides of the trip to know our dog is happy and safe and with people who truly care about the dogs. It's a great feeling that even after several months between visits our dog stirs with excitement as soon we pull up to House of Wag. Try it out and you will never look back!

    The Aftermath of grooming with House of Wag

    I'll start this review by saying that my dog and I initially had good experiences at House of Wagg. He enjoyed daycare and boarding there many times and we had no issues. But, it only takes one bad experience to make you rethink trusting someone with your beloved dog. Given his pleasant experience, we decided to sign up for grooming and this is where we saw the true colors of the management team, who previously was so sweet, accommodating and pleasant. My dog had matted hair near paws and it was quite tricky to get to. There is a proper way to clip this, which was not done. After a $200 vet bill (a night of whimpering, discomfort, etc.), my dog was found to have razor burns and cuts near his paws. When I called the House of Wagg management team, asking them to reimburse me for just the groom ($40ish) - not even the vet bill, I was very rudely told "no" despite the longstanding relationship we've had with this business. The team was rude and would not even sympathize with the fact that my dog was in discomfort, simply saying, "He'll be fine in a day or two." The matted hair is an issue, but razor cuts and burns worries me just as much - but the team couldn't see my point of view. While of course i'm saddened that my dog is uncomfortable, I do understand mistakes happen. I'm disappointed in this team's inability to be empathetic and receptive to constructive and medical feedback. The attached photo proves the state in which my dog was left in. The house of wagg management team is only pleasant when you agree with them, but the moment you have a bad experience - you're on your own. While this is just one bad experience of the 5+ positive experiences I've had with them in the past, it does show the decline in character and professionalism, which is reason enough to not go back.

I had read great things online and came in genuinely hopeful. That quickly changed. When I arrived with my dog, Buddy, and asked for a tour, the receptionist initially told me I couldn't bring him inside because they didn't have his vaccination records. I explained that I had already created a profile and uploaded everything. She paused, said "Oh," and then changed the reason--now stating I couldn't bring him in because it might "wind up the other dogs." At that point, I didn't argue and put him back in the car with the A/C running, but it was disappointing. A tour should absolutely include seeing how your dog reacts to the environment. Inside, the facility felt dark and quiet, with most of the lights off. Aside from the receptionist, I only saw a cleaning staff member. The tour itself was underwhelming at best. There was no effort to engage--no questions about my dog, no interest in my needs, no explanation of their services or daily routines. It felt more like an obligation than a business that wanted my trust. She showed me the "Ultra Suite," which includes a queen bed, webcam, and TV. Unfortunately, the room looked unkempt--the bed was unmade, the blanket was messy, and it appeared it hadn't been cleaned since the last dog. For $155/night, that's unacceptable. She did apologize, but it didn't inspire confidence. Next was the "Deluxe Suite," which was significantly smaller with a basic dog mattress on the floor. It felt more like a kennel than a "suite." There was only one dog there during my visit, yet the odor in the facility was overwhelming. I couldn't wait to leave. After showing me a few rooms, the tour simply ended--no discussion of availability, no overview of care, no attempt to answer questions or build trust. It was awkward and, frankly, disappointing. I'm very glad I chose to visit in person instead of booking based on the website alone. There is no scenario where I would feel comfortable leaving my dog here.

They had my dog in a crate for probably 90% of the day and when I asked why they said she didn't get along with a certain dog. Then I noticed even when the dog wasn't there she was still left in the crate. Her last day at this location was also her gotchu day (which I told them), when I came to get her they told me she had pooped all over herself because they left her in a crate too long. When I asked them if they had fed her anything they said no, which is suspicious because she has that reaction to dairy and whipped cream. They then gave her a "complimentary" bath in which they washed everywhere but her butt, which was still caked in poop. You'd have better luck hiring someone off of Rover to care for your dog while you're away.

Luna was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism in June of 2025 and now takes medication twice daily. If left at home with her sister cats she would not get her medication due to hiding when the caretaker entered the house. We booked a two week stay at the Scratching Post while we traveled. I thought she would hide her whole time at the Inn, but to our surprise it was the opposite. During our daily updates we learned after the first 2 days of being shy she opened up to the staff. She enjoyed spending time with them, petting, scratches and followed them around, the word velcro kitty was used one day. She was very well taken care of during her stay. She is already scheduled for another stay at the Inn.

It didn't workout for our normal sitters so I started researching places to leave my precious kitten. When I say they take fantastic care of your cat/kitten I feel that is an understatement. I would not hesitate to take her back. I highly recommend them. They only take care of cats so I felt that was a much less stressful situation instead of leaving them next to dogs. Even the rooms they keep them in are so much better than cages you see at other places. No cages here! They have little townhomes, standard suite or deluxe suite. I chose standard since I didn't think she needed the bigger room since it was just her. They also update you with pics and how their day went. If you can't tell I was incredibly pleased with this place.
