I stopped by on Saturday, April 25th to tour this facility, as I need boarding for my dog for about two weeks while I'm traveling for work and then heading to Europe. I had read great things online and came in genuinely hopeful. That quickly changed. When I arrived with my dog, Buddy, and asked for a tour, the receptionist initially told me I couldn't bring him inside because they didn't have his vaccination records. I explained that I had already created a profile and uploaded everything. She paused, said "Oh," and then changed the reason--now stating I couldn't bring him in because it might "wind up the other dogs." At that point, I didn't argue and put him back in the car with the A/C running, but it was disappointing. A tour should absolutely include seeing how your dog reacts to the environment. Inside, the facility felt dark and quiet, with most of the lights off. Aside from the receptionist, I only saw a cleaning staff member. The tour itself was underwhelming at best. There was no effort to engage--no questions about my dog, no interest in my needs, no explanation of their services or daily routines. It felt more like an obligation than a business that wanted my trust. She showed me the "Ultra Suite," which includes a queen bed, webcam, and TV. Unfortunately, the room looked unkempt--the bed was unmade, the blanket was messy, and it appeared it hadn't been cleaned since the last dog. For $155/night, that's unacceptable. She did apologize, but it didn't inspire confidence. Next was the "Deluxe Suite," which was significantly smaller with a basic dog mattress on the floor. It felt more like a kennel than a "suite." There was only one dog there during my visit, yet the odor in the facility was overwhelming. I couldn't wait to leave. After showing me a few rooms, the tour simply ended--no discussion of availability, no overview of care, no attempt to answer questions or build trust. It was awkward and, frankly, disappointing. I'm very glad I chose to visit in person instead of booking based on the website alone. There is no scenario where I would feel comfortable leaving my dog here. read more

Wags is our favorite place to board cat and dog. They both love the time they spend with staff during play time and the attention they give them. We also love our regular updates and adorable photos. For our cat, this is the best place we have found for him to stay. He gets a room to himself to move around plus free time in the "Jungle" to explore. read more

I toured five facilities to check out the sites and offerings for my 5 month old puppy for socialization, daycare and boarding. None of them were even close to what I found at Wag. I'd used Wag previously in Sacramento with my beagles. Wag Hotel is an absolute gem! From the moment I dropped off my puppy, I felt completely confident that he was in the best hands. The staff is incredibly attentive, professional, and genuinely passionate about caring for every dog (and cat) that walks through their doors. You can tell they truly love what they do--and it shows in every interaction. The facility is spotless. It doesn't have that "dog kennel" feel at all--it's fresh, clean, and welcoming. I was especially impressed by how organized and on top of everything the team is. Whether it's check-in, special instructions, or updates throughout the stay, they are efficient and always a step ahead. One of the biggest highlights is the all-day play groups. My dog came home happily exhausted from a full day of fun with his new friends. The staff closely monitors all play to make sure everyone is safe and having a good time. Plus, there are so many thoughtful extras you can add--treats, cuddle time, bedtime tuck-ins, peanut butter kongs --it's like a luxury vacation for your dog! They also do cute events like a summer camp! Wag Hotel DFW has set the bar incredibly high. You get what you pay for. 24/7 hour pickup is key. I don't want to wait until next morning to pick up my dogs the day I fly home if it's after hours (like most other boarding places). They call with any updates if anything goes wrong (rarely) but know both my dogs by name. read more

This place is great for your pet to stay at while you travel. I have used them a couple of times while I have travele. The ease of dropping of your pet and picking up is great. I take my itty bitty needy puperoni to this location for daycare group and boarding. I'm very pleased and I think she is too. It's by the airport and is open 24/7 so if you want to pick up your friend in middle of night, you can. There's lots of amenities and add-ons like grooming, special one-on-one walks. All I have to say is "Doggy Day Care" and my dog explodes with excitement knowing is going to Wag Hotels for the day. He gets super excited when we get there and can't wait to get back and play. If I could give this sorry excuse for a business zero stars I would. Three days before we leave for an out of town for family Christmas, these jackwagons have the audacity to call and say that they will not honor our reservation for our dog. They claim it's due to his behavioral notes in his file. It's funny, the dog previously stayed there with no issue. This smells a whole lot like they're weeding out my dog because they don't want to honor their contract. Some dogs are food aggressive. You simply feed them in private in, oh I don't know, the private room that you're paying for?? The staff here is rude, unprofessional, and inconsiderate. Thanks for leaving us in the lurch. Can't wait to tell all of my fellow dog owners to not dare to reserve space with Wag Hotels. Once again, this sweet pup we rescued gets the short end of the stick from an outfit that CLAIMS they care about dogs, and instead, simply cares about profits. read more

What a disappointment. I took the tour and spent an hour filling out all the paperwork for my 3 Yorkies. Wag called today to say they could only take 2 of my 3 Yorkies. How would that work for us????. My 7 year old Yorkie has never been able to take the Distemper vax due to a bad reaction as a puppy. He is healthy and up to date on his vax's. My vet wrote a letter that states that and the reason he can't take a distemper vax. Wag Hotels says too bad. We won't take him. My boy has stayed at several of the local kennels here in DFW and in Colorado. The vet letter is all that was needed. I asked to speak to a supervisor and they never called. I'm glad I was able to call another kennel and get the 3 amigos a place to stay for our trip this week. Whew, that was close! They really put us in a bind. What other 'policies' would they throw out there if your dog got sick or bit by another dog or did something during playtime? Read the small print. You may be financially responsible, or very disappointed. It's not worth staying there, in my opinion. read more

Horrible!! Do not recommend!!! We just picked our pup up with an INFECTED PAW that we were never notified of. He was limping and wouldn't even step on his foot and no one let us know. His paw was so infected it was oozing pus and smelled rancid! Also, while we were out of the country they called us to tell us he wasn't eating and so we gave them permission to add toppers/wet food (just not chicken - which is noted on his profile) but asked for an update when they could. We had to call 4 times and send 2 emails before they called us back. All to find out when we picked him up they gave him chicken as a topper AND HE IS NOT SUPPOSED TO HAVE CHICKEN! AGAIN DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! My dog will NEVER be going back!!!! read more

WAG DFW has been a wonderful place for my retriever to board and play. The staff know him and seem to genuinely love what they do. He is always excited when we arrive, so I know he enjoys it. Even though the facilities are great (with the wading pool and themed play days) the staff is what sets WAG apart. They love animals, they know you and you pet and I just trust them implicitly. What also makes WAG my top choice is when I board him, there is someone on site 24/7. Many other places do not offer that, believe it or not. I'm so thankful to have found Wag Hotels DFW. I'd previously taken my puppy to a chain daycare, and I really felt like they just put all the dogs in a room and waited for pickup. Everyone I've met at this location has been so friendly, and they seem to really know and care for all their visitors. My pup goes for all-day-play, and I can tell she loves it. When she was going to the old place, she never wanted to get in the car, and she would get so nervous and shaky at drop off. But here she gets so excited to go see her friends that I can't get the car in park before she's trying to get out! I love the daily photos and the report cards too! It makes leaving our babies so much easier. If we ever have to board our dogs, this is definitely where I'd feel most comfortable leaving them. I highly recommend this location to anyone. read more

We used Paradise for Paws and absolutely loved the personalization and attention our two cats received. We have continued using the new establishment since it was taken over by Wag Hotel. While some of the staff and rules have changed, we still love their attention to details, and the setting they have for our fur babies. Each of our cats get their own personal rooms, and they get time to roam freely outside their room everyday (jungle time). We also love the fact that we get pictures of our fur babies daily while we are away. We also hear that camera are going to be setup soon for the deluxe suites, so we can check in on our cats. I have been using wag hotels for about two months now and have no complaints as of yet. I have predominantly been using their daycare service, however more recently I boarded my dog with them. Their staff is always friendly and helpful. They have been flexible with me on several occasions where I needed to pick up my dog late or early. Lastly their facilities are always clean and the staff really do seem to enjoy working with all the animals in their care. 10/10 would recommend using Wag Hotels DFW location read more
