Two years ago I bought a one hundred year old farmhouse, and in that time I've had to deal with all sorts of construction companies. Remodelers, home levelers, painters, a/c repair, plumbers, electricians, you name it and I've probably had to use them. Houser roofing was by far the easiest one I've had the pleasure of working with. I had a roof issue where an addition to the house was leaking so severely that it was causing the drywall on the ceiling to split and buckle. I had three different roofing companies come out to take a look and none of them knew exactly what was wrong with it, they just advised that they could tear that section of the roof up and figure it out when they got in there. For ANY roofing needs, LOOK NO FURTHER. We relocated to the Sealy area last year and needed a ventilation system installed on a 126 yr old house. After researching several roofing companies and with years of experience in construction, I settled on Houser; a lot of people have a lot of good things to say about them and I know why. We back up to an open field and do get pretty strong winds whipping around our home. We repeatedly had problems with a section of shingles coming loose and 'slapping' the roof whenever it was windy. We had another roofer come 2 times to 'fix' it and the next time we had strong winds, we were faced again with the original problem. Through a friend's recommendation, we reached out to Jeff Houser and the very next day (even the day before it snowed and everyone was starting to go into hibernation mode!) he had a guy from his crew come out and truly did fix the problem by starting over from scratch in that section with new shingles, etc... and haven't had the problem since! While out here, he also inspected the whole roof and re-caulked/sealed all of the various types of roofing boots that were starting to disintegrate from Texas weather. Highly recommend Houser Roofing service! After having a week of straight rain in the Houston area, we found out we had a leak not only in our fireplace, but also on the roof. The damage on the roof caused a leaked into the attic. Over time, this caused partial damage to the an area of ceiling. Jeff Kent was our Roof Specialist and walked us step by step what was damaged and how the damage had occurred. He was honest, and we appreciated that! Understanding the weather was barring the team from completing the repairs, an emergency patch was done to mitigate any more damage from occurring. While going through the refinance process for my house, the lender asked to have a roof inspection done to continue the process. Despite our repeated requests for clarification, the lender could not specify if we needed a roofer or a house inspector to complete the inspection. After making a few calls, my wife got into contact with Jeff Kent of Houser Roofing. When she explained to Jeff our issue he was extremely helpful. Jeff agreed to come out and provide a free estimate to see if the roof was any need of any immediate repairs. He also provided us with the name of a house inspector, if the lender ever clarified who they wanted a report on the roof from. (That clarification never happened.) We had the pleasure of dealing with Houser Roofing as our house and garage needed to be repaired after storm damage occurred to the shingles. After Jeff came out to assess the repairs needed, he agreed to meet with our insurance agency and go over what repairs were needed. Shortly after the assessment was done and arrangements had been made to put on a new roof a date was set. Houser Roofing came out and in a single day, they removed the old roof on our main house, garage, shed and pump house and then installed the new roof on all the above. They were recommended by an individual in our neighborhood. We had a botched roofing job that had caused damage to our support beams at our front door. We had many people come out and take a look and never call back. Jeff not only contacted us immediately, but was out to take a look within the week. My experience with Houser roofing was very good. Jeff Kent came out to look at my roof. The roof was pritty old and had some real issues. the pitch or lack of was causing the problems. Jeff offered a couple ways we could go to get the best bangs for our buck. The owner even came out to make sure we got the best solution. The crew came out got to work and was done in one day. We also found some rotting on a few of the facer boards. Jeff got right on it, explained the added cost, and had the crew out the next day.
