There is plenty of natural light, which I look for when finding a cafe to study at. I also feel as if people don't really know about this place yet, making it a good spot to come here consistently to study. The bathrooms here are pretty clean as well. Anahid took our order and she was very helpful with explaining each drink and providing recommendations. We ended up trying a couple drinks from their New Orleans inspired coffee menu: the iced bananas foster and the iced southern wedding cake, both with sweet cold foam, as well as some beignets. My friend loved the bananas foster, the banana flavor really shines through but not in an overpowering way. And the sweet cold foam really elevates this drink to another level. The southern wedding cake contains a hint of vanilla and almond flavor. The flavor of this coffee is really unique. The almond gives it a light nutty flavor and the vanilla flavor blends nicely with the coffee. The beignets were topped with a generous amount of powdered sugar and were warm, light and airy, and flaky. They were a perfect mid study snack. I could definitely see myself coming back here for another study session.

I ordered the Bananas Foster and the Cafe Au Lait alongside my beignets. The Bananas Foster was delicious and my favorite drink, as the sweet banana flavor comes through very well, and it topped with a fluffy sweet cold foam that pairs perfectly with this drink! I also ordered the hot Cafe Au Lait sweetened with cane sugar syrup, and the strong espresso balances the sweet beignets for the classic New Orleans experience! The service was amazing, and my barista, Anahid, was so kind and helpful! She answered all of our questions and gave us recommendations as this was my first time here. The atmosphere inside this PJ's location was spacious, clean, and welcoming, with plenty of comfortable seating and outlets if you are looking for a great place to study and hang out! The music is not too loud here and there's plenty of natural sunlight and even parking lot space. I definitely look forward to my next visit here!

When your Auntie puts you on game! This place rocks and let me tell you why…read more I've seen BRCB so many times speeding down Broadway but I never stopped by, but Auntie gave out gifts cards for her annual MLK brunch and I received one for BRCB. Growing up with Folgers and Maxwell, the only special touches to coffee was creamer, but the coffee of today is so sophisticated. The flavors and concotions you'll experience is just amazing to me and my first time trying BRCB made me want to come back real soon. First off, I maximized my 1st visit by signing up for the reward club and surprisingly, I received a free medium beverage. I also ordered a sausage egg and cheese burrito to go with my drink. I had the fortunate luck to order the Jackhammer: Vanilla mocha with an extra double shot. I ordered pick up because I went by the weekend of that Winter Storm when the city was about to shutdown. Before I made it to the store I had put in ana advance order based on the estimate Discount Tire gave me for my service. I got out like 30 minutes early, which normally never happpens, so I drove to the store and prepared to show my order to hopefuly have my order made prior to the scheduled time. There was no issue at all with this request as I told the crew member my name and in less than five minutes despite having a steady flow of drive thru customers, I was out the door into the frigid cold but warm and highly caffenated from my drink! They even heated my burrito for me which I did ask to be heated in the online order, but it was hot like it had been just made not heated. The burrito was tasty but could have had more visible meat inside of it. Nevetheless it paired well with the cofffe as both were nice poppin hot. For a special caffenates treat, Black Rock is a great spot to indulge your coffee kick.

I'm a rewards member and I definitely take advantage of that. We have to save any way we can these days. I usually just use the drive thru as I'm always on the go, but I do see quite a bit of people chilling out inside. Parking is never an issue here as well, there's plenty of space. On occasion I'll get the breakfast burrito, but I mostly come for the coffee. Blended chocolate chip with cold foam is my favorite. Overall this is my favorite go to for coffee

They started playing music in there which was a nice touch. You can have a conversation and not have to yell at one another to be heard. When I asked for my food to be taken back, our server was really nice about it and helpful. The Supreme Omelette w/ egg white: 9/10.. this one was much better and had some seasoning to it. I still put the hot sauce on it though. Cajun shrimp & Crawfish Omelette: 1/10.. I had to send it back. The omelette itself was flavorless and relied on the very little sauce they gave you. I was reminded of why I don't order seafood type omelettes. The only thing that was Cajun about it was the color of the sauce. Spiked peppermint mocha cold brew : 8/10.. it has the perfect hint of sweetness but a little too pepperminty for my taste. It honestly tastes like chocolate milk.

I called the restaurant to politely ask what might be causing the issue, as I wanted to better understand why it keeps happening. Javi, who answered the phone, was friendly and understanding. Another employee from the bar area also spoke with me and was very kind. She explained that she had not bagged the order. When the manager got on the phone, I explained that I had already discussed the situation with two employees. His response was, "This is the first time I'm hearing about this. You're too far away, so I don't have anyone to drive the gravy to you. I can't give you the gravy. What would you like me to do?" The tone came across as annoyed and dismissive. I let him know that I was already planning to dispute the missing item through Uber Eats, but that I was calling because I wanted to understand why this issue keeps occurring. There was no offer for me to pick up the missing gravy or any meaningful attempt to resolve the situation beyond saying he would speak with the staff. What surprised me most was the contrast between the helpfulness of the employees and the manager's attitude. The staff members were courteous and understanding, while the manager seemed to assume I was exaggerating or making up the issue. Unfortunately, because of both the repeated order mistakes and the poor customer service from management, I won't be ordering from here again.

I ordered an iced Honey Oatmilk Latte and it was very well balanced. Beyond the coffee, though, I was pleasantly surprised by the breadth of the food menu. There were some classics like muffins and bagels, but there were also some unique options. The spiral pies, pizza stick, and pastry options struck my interest. I went with the spiral pie with feta and it was warm, comforting, and delicious. Reminded me of being in Greece! Next time I might go with another flavor because I thought it was a bit dry at times, but totally worth it! Something to note about BeansUp is that there is very little seating available. There is one table inside and one outside. I'd recommend just picking up your order, honestly. My friend and I grabbed our coffee/food and then walked around a nearby store. Also, you order on a tablet which was cool. An employee hands you your items but otherwise it's pretty low-interaction. I think that's kind of nice, especially if you're just trying to grab and go. The employee we spoke to was very sweet when handing us our orders, though! I'll definitely be stopping by again! This place is locally and women-owned which is awesome! Check them out!
