I needed to grind out some work for school and decided to spend the day here at PJ's. They have numerous parking spots available, many tables with plentiful outlets, making this a very convenient and ideal study spot for me. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is plenty of natural light, which I look for when finding a cafe to study at.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I also feel as if people don't really know about this place yet, making it a good spot to come here consistently to study. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bathrooms here are pretty clean as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Anahid took our order and she was very helpful with explaining each drink and providing recommendations. We ended up trying a couple drinks from their New Orleans inspired coffee menu: the iced bananas foster and the iced southern wedding cake, both with sweet cold foam, as well as some beignets. My friend loved the bananas foster, the banana flavor really shines through but not in an overpowering way. And the sweet cold foam really elevates this drink to another level. The southern wedding cake contains a hint of vanilla and almond flavor. The flavor of this coffee is really unique. The almond gives it a light nutty flavor and the vanilla flavor blends nicely with the coffee. The beignets were topped with a generous amount of powdered sugar and were warm, light and airy, and flaky. They were a perfect mid study snack. The beignets here are the best I've ever had in the Houston area! They are made fresh each order and topped with a generous amount of powdered sugar, tasting just like the beignets I'd order while in New Orleans. I ordered the Bananas Foster and the Cafe Au Lait alongside my beignets. The Bananas Foster was delicious and my favorite drink, as the sweet banana flavor comes through very well, and it topped with a fluffy sweet cold foam that pairs perfectly with this drink! Y'all... I'm the type of person who would drive from Houston to New Orleans just for beignets. But today, I discovered that PJ's Coffee on Sienna is absolutely amazing. Everything on the menu is delicious, but the beignets, Life-changing. Hands down some of the best I've ever had. On top of that, the customer service was exceptional. Welcome to the neighborhood PJs! I ordered their medium roast drip coffee with half-and-half. I found the medium roast, to be somewhat sour, so next time I will give the dark roast a try. I was also a little bit disappointed that when I asked for half-and-half they gave me these shelf stable singles, so next time I will ask the barista directly if she can put half-and-half into a cup for me. I was excited to come here, my husband came not too long ago for the first time, for a longest he could never find any King Cake worth eating, tried Pj's an enjoyed it, felt like the texture was right (maybe a little heavy on the sprinkles). While counter service and barista were cheerful and polite the Beignet Bites were just ok, nothing special. I'm basing my review on beignets served at the former Chez Beignets located on Hwy. 6. When I returned home I spiced them up a bit with a dusting of nutmeg on top of the powdered sugar.
