Technically it is a soft opening, but everything seemed comparable to the other locations. I picked up a couple of lattes with mini croissants, and all were good on par with the other Pearland Coffee Roasters locations. The croissants are a particular treat since we lack a French bakery in the area. The people behind the counter were clearly experienced in their roles and were relaxed, friendly, and competent. I have always enjoyed the vibe here when it was a Dunn Bros, and now it is brighter and more open due to the renovations and absence of coffee roaster (presumably roasted at their original location). Plenty of comfortable seating, both inside and on the patio. Much easier to get in and out of this location than the other locations. I miss Dunn Bros, but will be happy with what it has become.

The staff was very friendly and pointed me in the right direction for recs, and I ended up selecting a hot guava latte with almond milk and a couple of alfajores. The latte wasn't too sweet yet still had a pleasant guava aftertaste, and the alfajores were the perfect treat to go alongside my coffee. I'll definitely be back!

More of a mush consistency. She said the broccoli salad was delicious. It looked appetizing as it was a colorful addition to the plate. We both agreed our baked potato soup had good flavor though it was served a little less than lukewarm. I had the sandwich sampler plate. I received a portion of the chicken salad on croissant, cheap deli Turkey meat with Mayo on generic store brand bread, and pimento salad on the same quality bread. At least the bread was soft and appeared fresh. No tea room I've ever been to served cheap deli meat sandwich on the sample plate. Deli meat sandwiches is what I eat at home when I don't feel like cooking. I agreed with my friend on their chicken salad. The reason I could eat it is it was on croissant and it was fresh. The pimento salad had decent flavor though I've never had it at a tea room (or anywhere) made with bagged finely shredded cheese. I say this as you could taste the powder added to bagged cheese so it doesn't clump. Now the pumpkin bread loaf with the thin cream cheese later in between was excellent. Everything you want in a pumpkin bread. Moist. Flavorful. They had some strawberry mixture thing in a plastic cup topped with whipped cream which was strange though didn't taste all that bad. I thought it might be better served frozen like a sorbet type of thing. Both the apricot and raspberry unsweetened teas were good. And they did ask if we would like a to go cup. The lady who sat us didn't appear to be in the best of moods today. The server was nice and checked on us frequently. The man upfront where we paid our bill was pleasantly nice as well and he was the one who asked if we each would like a to go tea.
