DESPICABLE & DEPLORABLE!!!! PLEASE GO TO UTMB INSTEAD!!!!!…read more I'll just start off by repeating what so many other former patients who had the extreme & utter displeasure of having the horrid experience of being "treated" here: if I could give less than one star, I would!! All of the staff--especially the nurses--act extremely annoyed with you no matter what you ask of them & complain about very simple, basic things their job entails, such as helping you to the restroom or bringing you meds. Any & all requests you make to them--no matter how polite you are --are met with frustrated sighing, eye-rolling and acting like you're putting them out so much just by asking them to perform and assist you with the most basic of tasks. ALL the nurses care about is sitting at their nurse's station and chatting ALL DAY LONG, and God forbid you interrupt about five minutes of their conversation. And talk about lazy!!!!; they absolutely can't seem to unglue their rear ends from those nurse's station chairs. You'd think they'd realize that if they love chatting with each other so darn much, they could at least set aside their girl time outside of work to do all their chatting. They're all far worse than high school girls who want to just chitchat and socialize with each other. The people on this staff are receiving way too high of a paycheck to be acting in such a rude, uncaring, incompassionate, unprofessional & overall demeaning manner towards us, the patients--who are obviously the most important ones!! Every single staff member who is employed here is clearly in it just for the paycheck because they certainly aren't in it to help us or to help us alleviate our pain/ailments/stress/discomfort. If you're in any kind of pain whatsoever, you'll be extremely fortunate to receive even one Tylenol or Ibpropen. And I'm begging you with all that's holy that if you're in excruciating pain, *do NOT* come here looking for some relief from meds, because they simply will not give you anything. One of the many, MANY issues I have with this place is that they treat every single patient as if we're raging junkies who are all just looking to get a "fix", versus being desperate to alleviate & soothe our physical pain/symptoms in any way humanly possible. The first thing they do is have you pee in a cup for a drug screening, and even if you're only taking presbribed meds by a doctor, if it's what they consider to be a high dose, you'll be written off as a drug seeker who misuses & overtakes medications. The doctors are sorely lacking any real knowledge about anything. Misdiagnoses run rampant at this "establishment". And all your have to do is look at their ages, with most of them being around only 30 or so. You can literally find out more about your condition from typing certain things into Google A.I. than by asking them anything. And just like the nurses, the doctors are extremely devoid of any compassion or empathy towards those who are ill and/or in a lot of pain. Furthermore, the rooms are relatively crappy and small. Additionally, they have small, cheap tv's that desperately need replacing because the colors are starting to turn from old age, with very limited basic cable. The food is borderline-terrible & is barely lukewarm once it's been delivered to you. The ER rooms are insanely hot & stifling; unfortunately you don't have the ability to control the temperature. When I was there, it was 76 degrees, which is borderline-boiling for me! They could at least give the option that would allow each ER room temperature to be controlled by the patient who's placed in there. Methodist Clear Lake is beyond any & all hope for improvement, in my opinion, and despite all of their consistently negative, terrible reviews, just nothing seems like anything will ever be done to remedy that. I'm begging you to please spare yourselves of what's an easily avoidable unpleasant situation. UTMB is infinitely BETTER, has nurses & doctors who treat you with dignity, respect, compassion, and understanding.

Background : I've been in chronic lower back pain since January 2021...I've been steadily going to chiropractor since then. I've had no pain meds only the OTC kind. it's been a 16 day wait...to find out WHY?!! Now, at 12:45...the staff said, he's still with the patient before you, ok?! Then they asked for my co-pay; um, I don't give you one on a tele-meds call. I was then put on hold for 6 minutes (they probably called BCBS to verify) only to be told the doctor would call me in the next 5-10 minutes...^sigh^ At 1pm my Zoom call started. Dr Wang said the imaging shows severe osteoarthritis in lower back and referred me to PT and/or steroid shot. He said he (himself) could fuse my L4/L5 but, it's too soon for that...he wants me to try the other options first. He did not prescribe any pain meds...so, (again) I go out with pain and no relief! *sniff*| Now to WAIT ...and, wait some more for Wangs office to call the pain doctor so i can make an appointment. I wait

Based on the behavior of the office, Dr. Wang has lost a patient. I will not subject myself to that type of judgement from the staff. Just because people have Medicare, doesn't mean that they are paupers. They may have gone through a life altering trauma. You never know what storm someone is going through. I have PTSD and after dealing with Houston Spine & Neurosurgery Center, my experience was so awful, that I really don't want to go to any doctor and I'm having an emergency. Houston Spine & Neurosurgery Center would not even let me schedule an appointment, because I had an "outstanding" bill. The only reason it's outstanding is because it's incorrect. Why would I pay a bill that is wrong? The staff is ridiculous. The billing department completely understood me, but the other people in the office were repulsive.

Get a whole new staff for Floor 2 and Floor 6!! Cut out all of your "holding" rooms…read more I came from the ER with a possible stroke. I was confused and I feel that I was not treated well at all! I then went to what I thought was my room! But found out from the nurse that came in, it was a holding floor until I was moved to floor 6. I was moved to so many rooms I wasn't sure where I was suppose to be! Then the boy that was taking me to floor 6 came in to move me, I said "Okay let's do it!!" Let's go to the next floor". The nurses tried to make it sound in a sexual in nature. I was happy that I was going to a new floor although little did I know it was going to be worse!! I was better and ask the floor 6 to please let floor 2 know that I was sorry and regretted being like that and she said "no I will not tell her". There was one nurse that unfortunately leaving to go home, his shift was over! He was very nice to me. Then after he left no one took my vitals in fact they argued about Who was going to come to my room! I was close enough to the nurses desk that I could hear everything they were saying, they made sure of it! It took until the next nurse came in that she learned no vitals had been done! After that, every thing seemed to be better! They came in accept there was one guy medical assistant, or nurse I don't know anyone's name on Floor 2, which was the floor I was on until they found me a bed on floor 6. That floor was even worse!! Finally I thought I was being discharged, but then went to another holding room and waited to be released. I will not ever go back to that hospital again!
