Houston Pickleball Center was one of the first indoor pickleball facilities to open in the greater Houston area, and I'm glad they've had success since the beginning. Out of all the different pickleball places in Houston, this is the pickleball spot that I call "home." I always give new pickleball spots a chance and check them out for fun, but HPC is my favorite as far as how nice the facility is and how good the competition is here. I've only been playing pickleball consistently for about 5 months now, but HPC is a big reason I've improved so quickly. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced player, HPC can accommodate all skill levels. I generally come here for open play on Tues, Wed, and Thurs from around 630pm - 11pm when they close, you're guaranteed some great games for sure. I also appreciate that if you want a private court, peak time price is around $35/hr. You'll get a discount if you're a member or go at a non peak time as well. There are 11 indoor courts here, one that is private. They're well spaced out so you don't feel like you're on top of the other courts. The ventilation is the best that I've found for any indoor pickleball court. The service desk is friendly and very helpful. They even serve drinks and snacks such as instant ramen, granola bars, chips, candies, etc. You'll find extra balls for sale as well. Houston Pickleball Center for hosted our charity tournament to raise money for Fort Bend Care Center! Owner & staff are super nice to work and with catered to all our needs & requests, from last minute hour extension to setting up table in the court! The courts are very well-maintained and facility is very clean. We reserved 6 courts for 100 participants and they gave us the more private side for our event. Owner also generously donated so many amazing prizes for our raffle drawing and even treated us to ice-cream. Everyone had so much fun! Whether you're learning how to play pickleball or you have experience The Houston Pickleball Center is the place to be! Ventured here for the first time a few days ago and i was appalled to see how many people were playing, there are 11 indoor courts at this location, and there is a private court as well. everything is spaced out so you dont feel like you are on top of one another. The service desk is very helpful its take advantage of the day pass for 15$ its the best deal for your buck, and you can leave and come back as you please with entry. I will be honest and say that during the week around 5PM and on it is pretty crowded with people whom have just got off of work, but at the same time you will get your experience! anything earlier and you have more of the courts to yourself. I hosted my 40th birthday party at Houston Pickleball Center and had an incredible experience from start to finish. The team made the entire process seamless from the initial planning stages all the way through the day of the event. A special thank you to Vivian at the front desk, who was amazing to work with, as well as coaches Ricardo and Mathew for refereeing our games and keeping everything running smoothly. They truly went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a great time. In a time where it can be difficult to find businesses that genuinely value their customers and prioritize service, Houston Pickleball Center absolutely stands out. There are so many new pickleball venues popping up around Houston, but this one is here to stay! With 10 beautiful indoor courts, the wait time are pretty minimal even when open play is really full. Reserved courts have a laminated sign clearly stating the reservation name and time reserved, so there's awkwardness with needing to kick people off. Once open play began, an employee walked around to each court informing that paddle stacking would begin meaning players needed to put their paddle into stacks of 4 on the table just outside the courts and rotate in as games ended. Pretty clean system. My only complaints are that it's a bit dark on some sides of the court and there isn't a ton of room between the long sides of the courts. That being said, the APP Houston Open was moved to HPC when the outdoor venue got rained out, so if it's good enough for the pros, it's good enough for me. read more

Came in on a Sunday evening at 8 pm. Rented out the private room in the back and played with 3 other people. Walking in, the place was completely packed for the open play section, every court was in use with tons of people waiting. The private room was really nice as we had relative beginners in the room so it helped prevent our balls from bothering other people but was fairly small so shots that were really deep or sharp angled would be difficult to hit without smacking the wall. Also rather hot in the private court. Overall a good time, would recommend. read more

With so many venues opening in Houston, it's getting hard to compete. They have live cameras so you can see how crowded it is, but not sure how much of a pro that is considering it may be a drive for some. Open play all day is $15 but you can spin the wheel for discounts (not sure how long they will continue this). Court reservations are $30 an hour (although website says $40). They have a private room with a smaller court for $20 an hour (it's pretty tiny). They only accept Cash app, Zelle or Venmo. Pros: - good competition at all levels - an indoor location close to the South side of town - friendly staff - decent wait time between open play (about 15 min when completely full) - stacking system based on the level you choose - snacks & drinks for sale - pretty court colors Cons: - no nets or barriers in between courts so lots of pauses when balls cross over - the get to the further courts, you have to interrupt other people's games - currently no online booking system for open play or reservations - parking is tight when it's a full house - dim lighting Overall, if you live not too far from HPC, I would recommend it if you need a place to play indoors. It takes me about 30 minutes + $5 in tolls roundtrip so personally I probably won't be back unless I'm in the area. read more

Pros: Professional and helpful reception area staff. Organized stacking system by level. Ongoing open play throughout the day. Cons: Very little space behind the baseline and wall (be ready to run into the wall and/or hit your paddle). Also, little space between the courts (ATPs are generally not possible). Courts seem dirty and like they haven't been cleaned for awhile. Lighting is not fab. There isn't much of a camaraderie pickleball culture that you find at other clubs where people introduce themselves, socialize, etc.. People are there essentially to play and win. Great indoor pickleball facility! Courts- great outdoor courts in an indoor setting. You get the bounce of an outdoor court without the winds or sun/bad weather outside. Open play- with 13 courts available, a majority is for open play depending on how many are reserved for private parties. There is a bin system where you can queue with novice, intermediate and advanced players so that you will be able to challenge yourself and get a good game. Competition- great competition here as there are many advanced players. Beware of the bangers! Live cameras- they have live cameras on their website to show how busy things are there so be sure to check it out before you go. read more

Came here on a Saturday morning to play pick-up for the first time and I really liked this facility! It was $15 for open play for the entire day which I think is an absolute steal. There are about 10 courts that you can play on and the queuing system was very efficient - you put your racket in bins reflective of your skill level (from novice to advanced) and line up the bins to wait for a court. Even though it was insanely packed from about 10:30-12:30, we never really had to wait more than 10 min for a court to open up. Plenty of seating for players waiting as well as fans to help you cool down. The facility itself was clean, the check in process was quick and easy, and the space you play in is very open with high ceilings. All of the other players here are incredibly friendly and open, and it just overall has a nice atmosphere to it. I will definitely try to come here more often as it's only about 20 min from where I live. The area the facility is located in is a little sketchy and I was kinda worried as I was getting closer to the location as it looks like it's in the middle of nowhere surrounded by warehouses but what's inside is worth it. read more

We threw a company team building even here and rented 5 courts for 3 hours! They waived the membership for the company party, allowed us to use the party room, and threw in balls and paddle rental for free! The courts are in a warehouse space, but they were indoors and pretty nice! Folks complained it was cold inside, but after working a sweat, temp was actually really perfect! The party room was small so we just had food and drinks set up in there and most folks took their food out to the viewing/desk area to eat! Staff was friendly.. they even ran out of paddles and opened brand new ones for our group! I couldn't believe how busy they were on a Friday mid-day/mid-afternoon! Everyone had so much fun and the price was fairly decent for how long we had the courts! The courts are next to each other though so if you're not good and tend to hit balls cross court, beware that your neighbors might get upset. Some folks take pickleball pretty seriously! But overall, great service, nice facility and a good time for a good price! read more

I'm an avid tennis player and didn't really think much of pickleball but as it got more popular my friends wanted to try it with me. I am glad I was able to try it and dare I say it was actually pretty fun! We came around 12pm on a Monday and it was not busy at all. From 10am to 5pm it is $10 for a half day pass and I believe you have to start reserving courts after 5pm. The facility was super clean and organized. There are no food or drinks allowed on the courts but there are tables and benches to place your drinks on before the courts. There is also snacks and water available for purchase for $1-5. Very affordable and a really great way for people to stay healthy and active! We stayed for about 4 hours and there was 2 open courts next to us the whole time so it felt very spacious. Can't wait to come back with more friends next time! read more
