I have been training with Jordan at Houston Strength for the better part of a year, and have been extremely satisfied with my results. I have a pretty extensive athletic and strength training experience dating back to high school and collegiate rowing, but felt like I was stuck in a rut on a plateau while trying to program my own routine. Jordan has consistently helped dial in my diet and has provided fresh workouts in an effort to reach sub-10% body fat. To that end, I've dropped from 14% to around 10% body fat in under four months. I don't think I've ever looked better. The training space is small, but incredibly well-equipped -- better than any other gym of which I've been a member. And the trainers utilize the space and equipment to the maximum. Even better, the training rates are competitive AND there's no additional gym fee, since they own their own space. I have been going to Houston Strength and training with Crystal Robles for almost a year now. Since being diagnosed with Osteoporosis, I realize how critical it is to do weight bearing exercises on a regular basis, and do them right. I have found over the years that I just won't get the exercises in without a personal trainer. I'm so happy I came into Houston Strength. I am 55 years old and I have never felt stronger. I saw results in a very short period of time. I think it's because we never do anything more than once; the routine is always different and Crystal pushes us to the limit. I love that. Crystal is amazing and I'd highly recommend her. The gym is also a great place to work out. It is very clean, and never crowded. They also have all the equipment needed to get a great workout in. I came to Jordan last summer as a division III college baseball player trying to make a big leap in terms of strength. Jordan helped me improve my squat 100 lbs and bench 40 lbs in just three months, primarily by helping me efficiently structure my workouts and working with me on nutrition and technique. I was already fairly acquainted with the weight room, but his teaching has helped me diversify my workouts and find things that work well for me. He is personable and kind, and most importantly, he is committed to furthering his own education about strength training.
