I have been a member of Facet Seven for about 2 years now. I previously was working out at home and trying out different studios on ClassPass. Instantly when I started taking classes at Facet Seven I appreciated the community and friendliness at the front desk, members, and the instructors as well. I mainly take Stefani's barre, yoga, and ABC class but also have enjoyed HIIT and strengthcon with Emma. Stefani is a bright light and makes working out so fun but also challenging. Emma similarly looks to challenge but is also motivating and provided me modifications when needed with an injury, looking out for me when I didn't realize I could re-injure something without even knowing. The gym has a variety of equipment but is on the smaller side, so it's easier to see and get to know regulars in your class but also meet new people. Highly recommend! read more

I first found this gym while it was still on Lawrence, a lot has changed over the years and some seasons of my life fitness has not been a priority. I always felt like this was a space that was always inviting and nice to come back to for whatever season of life I'm in. A lot of people feel intimidated in gym spaces but the community here is nice. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful and will know you by name, the coaches are very nice and also very helpful if you ever need to ask questions, they have AC at this gym, an in house sports massage therapist, a sauna you can reserve time for with front desk, plenty of cardio machines. Most gyms if you go during peak times, the cardio machines are all taken but this space has plenty of cardio equipment and there are usually a couple open even during peak times, they also offer a variety of classes like strength con, barre and yoga. I am going to start with a disclaimer; I am not a member of this gym, however, I visit Stefani's barre class frequently using my Class Pass account. My review will cover Stefani's barre class. I was first introduced to barre in 2019 and I've fallen in love with the practice. Stefani's barre class at Facet Seven Heights is my absolute favorite! Stefani is very upbeat, personable, fun, and extremely energetic! Her class is great for beginners and those who are advanced in the practice! She always has a fun playlist to rock out to and it makes the class even more fun! If you visit this gym, I definitely recommend checking out Stefani's barre class. She teaches on Mondays at 7:10pm, Thursdays at 6:20 or 6:35pm (sorry I can't remember), Saturdays at 10:35am, and Sundays at 9:45am. read more

Studio Fitness Heights I was so surprised when I walked in because it had a very different vibe from the EaDo one that I went to first! Pros I took HIIT class with Stefani. The class itself was amazing! She really pushed us! I took a HIIT class at the Eado Location too, and compared to that one, I would say that this one was 2x as hard. The one at Eado, I felt that the exercise weren't bootcamp-like but this one kind of was. But keep in mind that I went on a Tuesday, which is when their more intense HIIT class is. The Music during workout was great! I jammed to it all along (while dying and sweating at the same time) Cons There were 25 people in the HIIT class. Every other class I have taken with class pass, including the Studio Fitness Eado HIIT had about 10 people only. When there are that many people in one class, the instructor cannot give enough attention to each person. The decor was not my style... I guess one could describe it as hipster, but there were writings all over the wall and it made the place look dingy and old. But the equipments and cleanliness were fine. I just like using new and nice equipments when I'm actually paying for my workouts. Overall, I would return for the great class, but not for the gym. Definitely recommend signing up with Jake Emery as a personal coach/trainer. He helped me push past by previous goal and was able to learn a lot just by training with him. He did a great job pushing me and designating a great training plan with my goals. He was my personal trainer for 2 years and I gained considerable progress in what I was aiming for. read more

I come to this gym for class pass and this place is super cool. I love the vibe. It's got a range of classes for everyone's liking. I've seen boxing, Pilates, barre, CrossFit, spin, self defense, and other various HIIT classes. The gym is very clean and spacious. The parking can be tricky during the peak hours but pretty manageable. They have pricing for everyone and they're pretty reasonable. If you're not sure about it, you can try it for one week for $7. For lifters: they have full access to the gym so you can lift and practice at any time of the day. Super cool space. read more

I really want to like this gym but so many issues. I used to go to the original heights one and there was plenty more space to workout and a lot more turf to have space to do workouts on. Unfortunately this new location is way too small and the trainers have been very disrespectful. I can only workout at noon everyday b/c of my job and I try to make the most of it in 1 hour but the trainers are always taking over my workout space, they don't ask if I was using the space or the equipment and will basically push me out of the space I was in. This has been a problem with multiple trainers around 11:30am-1pm each day. It's not that hard to ask if I'm using something or if I'm on one of the racks. There seems to be no gym etiquette with majority of the trainers. I really want to continue coming here but if I can't get my workout in then there's no reason to keep my membership. read more

They have cardio machines, free weights, tires to flip, boxing bags and more. Great location for the Heights. Parking is kind of small but you can park on the street surrounding it. They also offer classes which got me interested in this gym in the first place. Tried the kickboxing with Lindsey and it was a knockout! Studio Fitness is one of the best full service gym in the Heights, Garden Oaks and surrounding areas. They offer group classes, boot camps, cross fit, kick boxing, spinning and several other programs all at very affordable rates. They have a full line of cardio equipment from treadmills, elliptical to stairclimber. You can choose to do strength training using machines or free weights, it is definitely one of the larger facilities around with a great variety of exercise and fitness options available. The gym is very clean, friendly staff and a great environment. It's nice to be in a gym where the owners are actually onsite instructing classes, talking to members and accessible if you have a question or concern. This place and their staff are amazing! During this whole quarantine mess the staff stepped up and made sure people would be able to work out from home. Stefani, Jamie, and Caitlin created great barre, yoga, and core workouts for ALL fitness levels and abilities. Because of their willingness to encourage others I have successfully lost weight and gained muscle during the past few months. The rest of the staff is just as great and caring too! My initial thought when I walked into this gym, was that it looked mad dingy... The room where the barre class was held looked like a old high school basement. Also, why is there only one female restroom? I was kind of blown by this, because I feel like for a gym, there should be a few. I took a kickboxing class here and the coach was a bit intimidating, being a newbie and all, the class was intense. There was a lot of partnering up which can be nerve wracking when you're new to boxing, but it helped when I was partnered up with another newb. There were alot of# combos, which I found myself pasuing quite a few times to think of what# each punch was associated with. There is a $3 gloves rental that you get up front. The Barre class was killer. Despite the dingy room it was held in, Stefani (yes, like Gwen Stefani was amazing! Very enegetic and hyped up. It's refreshing to encounter an instructor that's enthusiastic and want her students to suceed with evey move, despite the pain that came with every movement. Parking can be tight. I found this gym actually through the internet because I was looking for gyms around the heights area and this one happened to have stellar reviews. It lived up to everything I've read online. Everyone from the staff to the members have been so warm and inviting. I've never gone to a gym prior to coming here but I felt so comfortable here at facet. The staff is extremely accommodating and has greeted me everyday with a warm smile. What you would get here that you can't get at any other gym is a great sense of community. The staff knows you by your name when you walk in, the members here all make you feel welcome and there is so much space and equipment to utilize you don't feel like you're on top of anyone. I took my first strength and conditioning class back in September of last year with an instructor named John and absolutely loved it for the energy and the community. If you're new the classes offer a lot of modifications to fit you and what your body needs, so no one ever feels left out of a workout. That to me, is what is important. It's what sold me on the gym. For someone who has never lifted weights before it felt very intimidating to go to a gym and that class really eased me into finding what I like to do in terms of lifting. Disappointed with Facet Seven in the Heights. I wanted this to work but it wasn't a good fit for me. From the outside, it looks great, from the inside, ...meh. I was told at the front desk that there was no contract and I could cancel at any time. They said I could do it myself online. So I went ahead and tried it out. I tried 1 class. The instructor was not a professional and just didn't care. He wasn't watching people and their form or even trying to be inspirational. The hodgepodge of people in this "class" was on the turf side of the gym. It's long and narrow and not appropriate for this type of team class. People were on top of each other, even though there wasn't a ton of us. They say they limit class sizes - well they have to, but they should do some more limiting. People waiting on boxes, poles, or bands was unnecessary. I really wanted this to work and clearly, by all the positive reviews this works for some people. Just not for me, I need a nicer facility and professional instruction with proper space. If the place could fit people or was "nice" I would have tried to stay but it isn't. So I decided to cancel - cause... "it was easy". No, it wasn't. They are now after me for the rest of my contract. read more

Studio Fitness is a gem, which I now realize after moving from the Heights to Montrose. It seems the options down here are either way too crowded or way too expensive. $55 a month (no enrollment fee!) is a great price for Studio Fitness, and even during peak after-work hours it rarely is crowded enough to be a nuisance (except maybe the month after the new year, of course). Would easily come back to this gym but the rush hour drive out of Montrose would make my head explode. Great selection of free weights, and there is bonus fun stuff (sleds, ropes, etc.) in the back which is typically used for classes but is free for public use if there aren't any going on. Staff is generally friendly, sometimes a little lackadaisical but that lends itself to the laid back atmosphere. That being said, the music is terrible. Atrocious. Bring your headphones. Someone has got to fix it. A good chunk of the time it's slow, emotional music. Not good for workouts. What are they thinking? I should've written an e-mail while I was a member. I absolutely love this gym. I wish I didn't delay trying it out! Bootcamp with Alex is tough on Mondays/Wednesday's but it is worth the workout! Give it a try. Studio fitness is awesome! They offer a 7 day trial that will have you wanting to join after the first day. Wonderful facility but the employees are what makes it 5 stars! Phaylen front desk agent will remember you by name making you're experience enjoyable from the moment you step in! All the instructors are great as well.. you have to try out boot camp with Alex it will have you sore for days! If you're looking for a nice gym for a decent price in The Heights area try it out. I Heard of this place through a friend. I was definitely looking for a small intimate gym. I really love the friendly staff and the instructors for the classes are extremely welcoming. I was intimidated to enter the gym especially because I have no clue how to use any equipment. Therefore I hired a trainer to help me get familiar with everything. After 2 months I feel fairly comfortable to enter alone. The only reason I took off one star is because of childcare that is not offered Friday -Sunday. Not too sure of their reasoning but weekends are more free for me to actually use the gym and bring my munchkin along with me. Other than that I would HIGHLY recommend. read more

First off, the owners are two down-to-earth gentlemen with amazing personalities. They started from running a gym in a tiny house to this large, fully loaded venue in the Greater Houston Heights. This gym is not just filled with hardcore boot camps, cross fit, kick boxing and spinning class etc. but also with a personal and motivating group of employees (especially Garrett Pena :) )personal trainers and people dedicated to living a healthy and fit lifestyle. I previously worked out at large corporate gyms such as 24 hr and Golds Gym but its safe to say that I will always be a member at Studio Fitness. I recommend this gym to any and everyone! This gym is quite expensive for what it is. And they don't tell you in the beginning that you can buy a membership just for working out with no classes, it's like they want to keep it a secret. We gave it a try because it is close and walkable, but I do not like the way you're treated here. If you don't do cross fit, or pay for personal training sessions then they aren't very friendly to you. And if you like to ACTUALLY work out, people just stare at you like crazy. The people at the front desk are nice. But this gym is not worth the price. We went back to our warehouse gym in Eado that's awesome with GREAT vibes. read more

I'm not a member. I went here to inquire about the Urban Movement parkour that operates from this location. That said, it was a very nice experience. It's a cool-looking gym and the people seem really friendly. People were coming from the boot camp class when I was there and even though they had admittedly had their asses kicked in boot camp, they had nothing but nice thing to say about it. I'm mainly interested in parkour, but that 10 minute interaction with the staff and some of the patrons of the gym has me thinking this may be a place I'd like to join. read more

Best gym I've been to so far in Houston. Great combination of a crossfit and bodybuilding gym, with effective classes thrown in the mix. They have everything from monkey bars, gymnastics rings, bumper plates, every resistance band imaginable, and a lot more. You can use a new piece of equipment during every workout. The gym has a really good positive vibe as well. No one uses headphones because they play great music, and everybody works hard. I joined FACET 7 because the gym down the street from me enforced the mask mandate. FACET 7 did not. I went with the exclusive membership at 95 bucs a month. Two days later the mask mandate was removed in Texas so I rejoined my gym and canceled my membership with FACET 7. Even though I only went once I was charged for the entire month. What was really wrong for them to do was charge me for the second month of 95 dollars again. $190 dollars right down the drain due to FACET 7's incompetence. FACET 7 supports the radical group BLM (black lives matter) just like the company that will take your credit and debit card information. I asked them if I could write them a check or pay cash but they FACET 7 refused. It's a big scam, be careful if your looking for a gym because they definitely ripped me off. read more

Ive only been here a week, but it's all I've needed to know I made the right decision and found my new home. From the second they emailed me back (shoutout to Trevor, the true MVP), they were extremely kind and eager to help. I was never once intimidated or belittled. It's very easy to feel comfortable here. The gym itself is pretty big and the space is used very well. I LOVE not feeling like I'm on top of someone else. There's definitely enough space to find a corner and workout by yourself if you're intimidated (like me). Weights are even color coded so you know where they are. Theres foam rollers and pads for barbells readily available which was HUGE for me. There's cool inspirational quotes on the wall that definitely motivate. (And kinda make you laugh).
