I came in after receiving several quotes - thankfully, because I was didn't have much options, this was a great stop. The team was able to provide a quote very quickly and informed me bringing the car the next day would guarantee a more expedient service. The ticket was registered before dropping off the car, so the next day was a quick drop-off. I was contacted midday that the work was done, and upon discovery, the lights were replaced with no additional labor charge. The folks at this Chervron station are friendly, reliable, spot-on, willing to answer questions. I see other reviews where folks went off the deep end on one review about a ripped bill. That person's experience is not my experience and never has been. Ms. Arenit is willing to listen, answer questions and has always been friendly and very customer service oriented. I found this place because of the rave yelp reviews. I also had a great experience when I needed to replace a tire after I got a flat one day. Memorial Car Care Center showed me where the hole in my tire was and explained why I would have to get a replacement tire (sadly, the hole was toward the side of the tire where you can't do repairs). They didn't have my exact tire in stock there but they were able to get it the very next day, so I didn't have to drive on my spare for too long. Their waiting area is on the small side, but you do get free coffee and fountain drinks from the Chevron gas station that is attached while you wait. read more

Today I needed to replace a battery, which was still under warranty, and the service was done quickly even though I didn't have an appointment. Kyle, one of the front desk managers, does an excellent job of taking care of all customers, myself included. They also fixed another minor problem at no charge. I have gone to Memorial Car Care since 2019 for all kinds of services - oil change, inspection, tires, general car advice, etc. I haven't ever had a problem. They are ready and willing to serve you. The most recent good experience was with body work. They don't do it there; they sub it out. But it's nice because you interact with the Memorial Car Care people who you know. I had gotten an estimate in January for a fender bender repair but hadn't yet had the work done. Then in April I got another dent in the same area (front bumper) and wanted to go forward with the work, under the same estimate. I asked them about it, and they said they'd honor the January estimate, so we went forward. I really appreciated it. And I also thank Miguel, the body work guy. I will continue to use Memorial Car Care, and I highly recommend them for you! read more

A flyer that I received in the mail prompted me to call this business. I inquired the price to a service and after giving him my vin number I was given a reasonable amount. The gentleman was very nice and courteous so I considered adding an additional service and inquire about getting new tires. Walking into this business I noticed that it was clean and organized. I spoke to a gentleman there and explained to him that I had called. I shared with him the details about my car and the service I needed. He would not acknowledge me by maintaining eye contact or talking to me directly. He started typing on his computer and then picked up the phone to call someone. While on the phone he gave erroneous information regarding my vehicle. I stated that he had the wrong information and he replied to the person on the phone that "now she is saying it is ...". Very unprofessional! He told the person on the phone that he would call back when he gets the correct information. He hung up the phone. Came around the desk and stated he needs to get the vin number. Upon retrieving the number, not speaking to me he started typing on the computer again and made another phone call. He received the information from the phone call and stated to the person on the phone that he needs to get this "sold" first. Another unprofessional comment! He produces an estimate for my service which was 300% more than the original amount given to me on the initial phone call. I explained to him that I called ahead of time to avoid this type of situation and avoid an unnecessary trip. He said that my service was very expensive due to the type of car that I have. I thanked him and said that I will not have my vehicle serviced there and left. My father was a mechanic for over 40 years. He warned me of this exact situation. He said that you will be priced based on your how you look and the price will be higher if you do not know anything about vehicles and if you are female. I have avoided for the most part this type of behavior until today. I think the gentleman that assisted me was a manager or supervisor. So very sad. read more

I've been taking both of my vehicles here for over two years now, even after I moved to a different neighborhood 10 miles away!. They're completely honest; I have never felt like they tried to get me to repair something that didn't need repairing. When the dome light in my car went out they told me it was going to be $300 because of an electrical short. Then they even advised against getting it fixed because they didn't think it was worth it! Now that's honesty! They have convenient hours (7am to 7pm Mon-Sat). Even if you can't get there to pick up your vehicle before 7pm, they will leave your key and repair bill with the attached convenience store so you pay and pick it up after that. It's been a real life saver more than once. They will also give you a ride to work if you need it. Even if you don't like taking rides from them, bus 70 is right around the corner and takes you straight downtown. read more

Do you enjoy making your life as frustrating and miserable as possible? No? Then avoid this place. My car needed repairs before passing inspection. Fine. They quoted me a big-sigh of a number, so I got it checked out by another mechanic who's a family friend in another city. The quote was drastically above market pricing. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I took my fixed car back to get inspection. It passed, butttt they didn't give me all the paperwork needed to register the vehicle in the state of Texas. They're a small shop in a neighborhood - I'm sure doing inspections is a frequent event. This was a complete error on their part that I only discovered when I went to register my car after moving to Austin. The guy behind the desk looking through my registration paperwork was flabbergasted that they didn't give me the proper form. Now I'm stuck getting my car inspected - AGAIN - at a place in Austin and going to the government office for round two of registration. As far as the front desk people go: they're pretty nice. Stopped in without an appointment for a state inspection. They were friendly and quickly got to the business of performing the inspection. I was out within 15 minutes. There is not much revenue to be had from a state inspection, but it is clear that they put a high priority on customer service and understand that you only get one opportunity to make a good first impression. Although both of my vehicles are under factory warranty, I will go to them first for any future auto maintenance needs. Thanks guys! read more

The service is not to great. I went in for a state inspection, was told 30 min wait but I had to wait 1.5 hours. After an hour and half of waiting I went to ask how much longer and that's when they started the inspection which took them 4-5 min. Why not just have someone take care of the inspection (which takes 5-10 min max) first and resume back to whatever other car they were working on especially if those cars were dropped off to be picked up later. read more
