Overall, a mediocre experience. You do get what you pay for, which is a room that is decently clean and comfortable. The noise is awful. Since the rooms are fairly bare, they are an echo chamber for the rooms abutting it (top, sides). From about 1045pm-3am, I heard nothing but TVs, footsteps, doors opening and closing, and talking. I didn't sleep at all. The bathrooms don't vent, so shower steam and smells stay, creating a musty smell and humid room. Breakfast is a bit of a joke. Service was okay, sort of an odd encounter overall. I don't really recommend this place. If you need a cheap, short term stay, maybe this is it, but is just spend the extra $50-$80 to stay somewhere else. read more

Getting BED BUGS took over what was supposed to be the first weekend away we had in ages. A bed bug scuttled across my pajamas while up watching TV in the room. We afterwards realized we both had multiple bites (most people don't realize bitten until 1-2 days after initial bite when marks become apparent--unfortunately I'm a Google expert now on bed bugs after this mess). The decontamination process to ensure we didn't bring these home was stressful and highly time consuming. We had to cut the trip short. I almost didn't post this because it's embarrassing, but after the front desk said they would block the room but implied to keep mum about it, I feel compelled to warn others. Note that on Trip Advisor there's also a review with photos from 2018 of another person who got bed bugs here. Apparently it's an ongoing issue! UPDATE: I also posted this review on Trip Advisor because of how upsetting this experience was. Your motel replied to my review there that you were sorry we had a bad experience with "flying bugs." Since Trip Advisor doesn't let me reply back to you, let me reply here and be crystal clear. This was not "flying bugs" you're only further proving you are deceitful and trying to hide this issue. My photos are obvious it's bed bugs, and your staff agreed with me when I was there that it was bed bugs when we handed you a bathroom wash cloth with the bug I found on me. To take it a step further, the manager of your hotel asked us several times to tell our card company we had a "family emergency" and that was why we had an issue with our stay, because you didn't want others to find out. We both suffered multiple bed bug bites, even though we slept in different beds. You cannot imagine how stressful the process was coming home to make sure we didn't contaminate our house-but clearly you don't care. Stay FAR away from this motel! read more

Basic. Clean. Had to switch rooms b/c cable wasn't working. For the price $125 on a Expedia special, it was adequate.

Would give it no stars if I could. Took three tries when checking in after a three and a half hour drive from Boson to get a clean room that did not smell like an ashtray. Finally got one. Pool was green for the duration...in June no less. A festival in North Adams that weekend caused them to jack rates from $109 to $249. TV barely functioned. Young kids running around the parking lot screaming late at night more than one night in a row. Owners let me check out one night early and because there were no other rooms anywhere during the week because of the festival I had no option but to stay there. Don't waste your money. Wyndham and Howard Johnson should be ashamed to have their names attached to this sub par "motel". read more

This is definitely a motel. The owners tried to spruce the rooms up, but mismatched furniture and carpet reminiscent of "The Shining" means that there's a long way to go to make it look like Wyndham, a known brand, has anything to do with this place. Upkeep hasn't been a priority and we generally felt unsafe with the door to our hallway left open at all times (we had one of the few "indoor" rooms). The one staff member was friendly, and it seems like the owners live on site. Shower didn't work, but we were checking out so we didn't make a thing about it. I would not stay here again. read more

Stayed here one night and giving it a 4 because it was clean, there wasn't many options. It's an older motel and I received the Wyndham points, I upgraded to a bungelow by myself and had no problems. I slept fine the outlets worked. The drive from Albany I'm sure would be scenic if I had the time but I was rushed. The town is a small college town, pretty laid back, liberal arts, I felt safe. I should have checked Yelp before staying here. First, I spent $100 for a night at a motel -- at a motel! -- during a weekday stay when school was out for the summer. It was the most I've spent at ANY Wyndham place during my two-week trip and was also by far the worst. I'll be uploading photos of my disgusting room. The shower curtain is loaded with mold, the door had hand stains on it from previous visitors, the bed had someone else's hair in the sheets, and -- worst of all -- the bed, semi sealed with a zip cover (often used to control bed bugs) was broken and cut my knee with the spring bulging out. In addition, the breakfast was mediocre and offered the worst selection of any place I stayed during my research trip. I would not visit this place again if it were free, let alone shell out over $100/night. Are you reading Yelp and asking yourself whether you should stay here? Don't! Don't! RUN! This booking was made by me for a friend who has Cerebral Palsy and a service dog. Both details were in the booking. When he arrived, I was with him, he was informed they could not accommodate him as they have ONE room dedicated to service dogs. When they were informed that is against the law he was allowed to check in but was informed he would have to move rooms the next day. He was told they, the hotel staff, would help with the move. This is also against the law to make him move. On Sunday when he returned to the hotel he was locked out of his room., They key card was deactivated. He was not assisted with the move. The room was dirty, there were holes in the carpets, it smells of cigarette smoke, the chain on the door is broken and there is stains on the furniture. On Monday, an older gentleman from the hotel scowled at him when he was leaving his room. This morning that same gentleman tried to throw him out of the office/breakfast area. Other gusts came to my friends defense. The gentleman said quote "I do not care what the law is. We own this hotel. Dogs mess up the furniture and get the bathtub full of mud. Ok. Stayed here in 2012 with no issues. Then we see it was bought by Wyndham. Thought "Wow. Wyndham. Gonna be nice. We are from Richmond, Virginia, and called ahead for a three day reservation. We asked is there a pool? YES. Are the rooms nice? YES. Can we get a Handicapped shower YES. (I am 60 with hip and knee surgeries). We arrive...... I'll start with the few decent things.... 1. The female that checked us in was pleasent. 2. The ice machine worked 3. Parking was plentiful. We were the only customers. 4. Window A/C left over from the Civil War worked. Problems are next.. 1. Pool out of order, "Renovations 2019". Not told this on our initial conversation. Only they "had" one, yes 2. No handicapped showers on room. But, the unmarked structure to the south turned out to be handicapped rooms. Discovered 2nd day of visit. 3. In the add online, it stated "microwave in room". None. Refrigerator is old with makes the sound of a cat with it's tail caught in a car door. 4. Upon arrival in room the TV, coffee maker, and lamp didn't work. A man who spoke absolutely NO english finally found the problem. The inside of the power receptacles in three room locations were so worn that the plugs would not operate/work. He jury rigged it some how. .... 5. After walking around on the carpeting in our sock feet, we see that this carpeting has not been cleaned ANYTIME recently. The bottoms of our socks were black!! 6. We left our room to visit the grandkids after our first night. When they cleaned the room, the maid had opened our window curtains I had shut to prevent anyone walking by from seeing the $1,867 worth our Paranormal Investigation Equipment stacked in the corner, and my laptop sitting by the TV! Idiots! 7. Hot water in bathroom sink is scalding. Luke warm in shower. 8. Breakfast is so-so... The waffle maker timer doesn't work, so you end up burning the squirrel poop out of said waffle.... 9. No door on the freezer. So, if you are in a pinch with finding a place-- whether it's a financial thing, or the nicer places are price gouging you because either William's college is herding in or out new children, or the Berkshires are just extra pretty .... Here is a hint: IF YOU MAY HAVE A BAD BACK, AN OLD FART LIKE ME WHO HAS ALL SORTS OR CRAP GOING ON--- ASK FOR A HANDICAP ROOM ! THEY'RE IN A BRAND NEW FREAKING BUILDING! I don't think This place isn't as bad as some other reviewers gave it, however, I don't care about nice hotel rooms. I go places to Go Places, the hotel is just a place to shower and sleep. It was fine. I was room 102 and it was fine. I would have given them a 3star review but 1.) they pulled that Priceline BS, where you call to see if they can match the Priceline price and they tell you they can't and then you can't book it online anymore. 2.) the ac was really weak. Thank goodness our room was in the new building. But even it was not great! The bathroom was dirty, the doorknob broken and the hook for towels had been ripped from the extremely flimsy bathroom door and not repaired. In October there were no blankets on the beds (you have to ask). My son left his T-shirt on the bathroom floor and when he picked it up it had dirt on it and there were hairs (not ours) on the towels. We only stayed because everything else was sold out. Place was clean. Price was right. Hot water took a while to get to the bathroom..it was freezing cold for a while before starting to warm up each time. Could be because this room was in the separate white building across the parking lot? Not sure. Mattress was not comfortable (we both woke up with back pain). The following night slept on the edge where the mattress hadn't sagged and woke up better that morning. The owner was great. We had a few extremely loud and obnoxious people (sounded like late teens/early 20s based on their conversational topics and actions) come stay in the adjacent room and when we called the front desk to complain, he said he'd take care of it. And he did and called us right back. They immediately quieted down (well, stopped yelling at least and were quiet enough for us to get some sleep). The walls are super thin though, generally speaking, so bring ear plugs if you don't want to hear clear conversations going on through the wall. read more

At first glance, the place looks harmless: places to sit outside, flowers, a nice paint job, other nice things to lure you in. The bathroom was dirty and there was a stain similar to blood on the wall. The manager was unforgiving on this. The office was locked at 3pm when we came to check in. To start with the decor is very dated, the hair dryer didn't work, there was no tissue in the tissue box on the bathroom wall. But that would be more or less okay if the place were clean. We arrived at this motel 8/31/19 at about 11:00 pm, staying in the area after last minute concert plans. To start off, the man at the front desk was very rude and didn't even greet us, barely even a glance. After about 10 minutes of politely waiting, we asked if we could be checked in. He talked on the phone for about 2 more minutes. We got our room, it was nothing special but definitely not worth the asking price of 150 dollars. An hour after we finally decided to take a look into the bathroom. Absolutely filthy. There were MAGGOTS festering in the sink! Safe to say we tore up the beds checking for bugs, and shut the bathroom door for the rest of our stay. We were seriously considering packing up and leaving because we were just that skeeved out. We woke up as early as possible to leave this DUMP. Upon departure, I opened up the door with the chain lock still attached by accident. The frame of the door literally crumbled off, SERIOUS security issue! Absolutely under any circumstance, do NOT give your money to this motel. My blankets all had burn holes in them. 2 of 5 lights didnt work nor even have bulbs, coffee maker may work sometimes, and I was charged $200 a night!!!!!! I was desperate but wow. Bathroom was clean and I felt the shower wouldnt kill me. Breakfast is nice. But if ur just looking for a place for a pass thru it isnt bad. I am not picky about decor, but I do expect a clean bathroom. There was gunk everywhere - walls, cabinet, shower, shower curtain, etc. I don't like feeling dirtier AFTER showering, but that shower curtain was nasty. Also - a smaller complaint - there were no washcloths so I had to buy disposable make-up remover cleaning cloths. They could solve these problems pretty easily by just CLEANING the bathroom appropriately. Then it would be your typical outdated, slightly ugly room. I could live with that. read more

I booked a 1-night stay at this motel using an online booking site. What a nightmare! On this occasion, I was a single woman traveling alone and expected the room to at least be adequate. However, after checking in, I noticed that the room had a large, open window in front that faced the parking lot. I closed the window and tried to latch it shut, but the latch was broken. This is a major security issue. Anyone at all could have just climbed inside the room during the middle of the night. Regardless of the price, I expect hotel rooms to at least be secure. On top of that, the room was disgusting and had obviously not been thoroughly cleaned in months. There were crumbs on the floor, stains on the bedding and carpet, broken drawers (actually hanging off the hinges) on the furniture, and a terrible smell. Don't expect any privacy or quiet, because you can hear the other guests and the cars from the road - there's no insulation. I knew I couldn't spend the night at this dump, so I went back to registration to get a refund. The employee promised me a refund and apologized for the awful room, so I left to find a better hotel (which, thankfully, I did). The next day, I was informed that Brian (the unhelpful manager) refused to process the refund and I ended up paying for a room I never used. This is absolutely ridiculous. I truly hope no one stays at this unprofessional, disgusting motel. Do yourself a favor and stay some place decent (or if cost is a concern, you'd be better off just sleeping in your car). read more

The price, location and front desk manager were great. The room itself leaves much to be desired. It is filthy. There was razor stubble all over the vanity, the toilet seat was filthy despite the sanitizing strip (I didn't know hotels still did that) and there is mildew in the grout in the shower. I'm glad I packed my flip flops because my bare feet will not touch the floor here. Unfortunately there aren't a lot of choices in the area. I'm just glad I had windex wipes in my car because I was able to give the bathroom a good wipe down. read more

Nice rooms for a cheap motel. Clean and relatively comfortable. However, at 10:09, 50 full minutes before checkout, I see the owner looking through the window to see if we were still there. All fine except that she then pretended not to see us (we were sitting right near the window in full view) and proceeded to just open the door and wall right in. No knock or anything. I guess they should change their checkout time to 10 or lean to respect people's privacy. Otherwise would have been a 4 star review but it's just creepy to walk in like that before checkout without even knocking. read more

I would honestly like to give them zero stars. This place was horrible. The heat would not stop so we had the air on constantly because it was 80 degrees in the room with a low of 26 outside. The air would freeze up. Made it impossible to sleep. Complained over and over. Nothing was done. Didn't even call us back. read more

I've stayed in a lot of hotels over the years, and this has to be one of the worst rooms I've ever stayed in. Walking into my room, it had an extremely weird smell, almost like some kind of mechanical failure, like a vacuum cleaner blew up in there. The carpet was wet and carried that same smell throughout different spots in the room. There was a dirty Q-tip in between the bed and the wall. A nice layer of dust coated everything, and it looked like there was mold on the ice box cover. Also, there was no plastic bag for said ice box, nor cups anywhere in the room. There was long, black hair all over the bathroom floor and candy wrappers under the baseboard heaters. When I showed my concerns to the front desk staff, he didn't really seem to care and didn't seem to think it was an issue. THAT grossed me out worst of all. I would not recommend staying here; I really don't believe that they clean the rooms. read more
