I literally made a yelp account to rave about these guys... My dad came into town on a Friday night for my wedding on Sunday. Yes 2 days before. This isn't therapy so I'll move on. As expected, my dad left his suit bag in the cab ride over. Great - he came in cargo shorts. What else ya got life? He gets drunk at dinner rehearsal and rips one of the groomsman's jacket. We wanted nice photos so everyone is dressed in their day of gear. Great. I'm about to vomit when my mom tells me we're going to this dry cleaner right around the block tomorrow. As far as dry cleaners go - its a big one, so I'm guessing they do good work but lack that intimate attention. It's Saturday - I walk in with my dad and my fiance's friend, Vincent (the one that fought my dad) and give them the spiel. We hand over a terrible looking off the rack suit from Macy's for my hung over dad and Vinny's destroyed pants. I tell them the story - the guy at the counter looks up at me and says, a wedding huh? He tells me not to worry and that there's enough to think about (apparently his wedding was insane). Wrapping up this rant - I get a call at 5:30 p.m. (they close at 6). He tells me they're far from finished - my dad's tux alteration was extensive and that they still needed a few hours. He tells me not to worry and asks for an address. 11:00 p.m. - my doorbell rings. Perfectly tailored tux, ripped pants look like new, a congratulations card and flowers. I'm not from that neighborhood so I'm truly sad there isn't more I can do for these people. I wish I could give this place zero stars! DO NOT BRING NAME BRAND COATS here! I brought my Moncler coat here to dry clean. The threads are coming off and the piece inside the coat is off. I dont know what they did. But they destroyed my damn coat. All i wanted was for the part that pulls up for the zipper to be replace and now its rough for the coat to zip up. I'm pissed. I've been coming to this dry cleaner for about 5 years now and I've very happy with the service. They took my information down once and pull up my info when I go in via phone number. When I drop off the items to be dry cleaned they provide you with a receipt that lists the items, the price, and pick up date. They are a bit pricey, I had one comforter, 2 jackets, 3 pairs of dress pants, and 1 dress and it cost close to $200 dollars if not $200. The comforter alone was $100 it was a full/queen with 2 pillow cases. When I picked up my items they were all nicely packed and the comforter was in a nice bag similar to the one it came in (which I still use). Just make sure you know what you have, they didn't give me one pair of pants and I had to show them my receipt and thankfully they found them. read more

I think this place does a better job then most places around here. I have been using them for a while now and no complaints. My schedule is pretty crazy so even dropping of my laundry and dry cleaning is perfect. Everything smells and looks great I also think they did an amazing job doing alterations on my suit. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. They lost a brioche fro one of my expensive dresses. Shame on me for going back after that because they bleached my blouse. When I pointed out that my clothing was destroyed, she refused to pay me for it even though it was brand new and I actually still had the receipt. When I told people in the neighborhood this story everyone started telling me similar stories. Now I go to the cleaners in town (old Howard) and I love it there! I used the alteration service at Howard Park Cleaners for one of my husband's suit jackets for our wedding. When we walked in, we were greeted quickly and taken to the side to try on the jacket and have it pinned. It was completed within 3 business days, which I was actually surprised by, I thought it was going to be at least a week. I'll definitely use them again in the future. read more

I NEVER leave reviews. I literally made this account to share my experience. Long story short, I had to speak at a wedding and the original cleaners I left my tuxedo with BURNT the silk lapels.... I must have gone to a dozen dry cleaners up and down the street to find someone to rush a repair. Not only was Howard Park Cleaners accommodating,they took the time to explain what they were doing and why I didn't have to worry. These guys are one of the larger businesses in the entire borough so I guess they have the power to pull last minute miracles. High marks! read more

I am so Unbelievably Upset with this place!! They would get No Stars if I could! I came here because my regular dry cleaners has there seamstress out on sick leave. So I went in this Train wreck of a business 2 weeks ago as a new client. I gave them my sons Boy Scout Shirt and asked that it be Cleaned and 4 new patches be sewn on the shirt. I Specifically Stated I Need The Old Patch and it is Very Important that I get Back the patch you are taking off to replace the new one. Please Dont loose it my son needs it! He stated they have Never Lost Anything and a note was made on the ticket. "Don't Worry" I must have repeated myself 5 times. The Asian gentleman who is Also the owner was very nice and went on about how great their Italian seamstress was. Blah blah blah. A few days later I went back, Met the seamstress and gave her 2 Cashmere scarfs to sew together. She was not keen on doing it (not clear why she would question me) but I told her it is what I wanted no matter the condition I brought them in. NOW, I go 2 days ago to pick up my Belongs and they can't find the Patch! And, there was No Note on the Ticket stating to keep the patch! Then I look at the shirt and it's not Even Dry cleaned either! It smells under the arms and still has the same stains on it! The Asian guy says Nothing to fix the Problem. Him and the Seamstress look around for the patch mumbling something or other. Then when we talk about the shirt not even being cleaned he goes in the back to talk to some guy who says "I don't remember cleaning it" WHAT!? Isn't this a dry cleaners? The Asian guy Then has the Nerve to say "Well you can bring the shirt back to clean after your son wears it" WHAT? Why would I trust you now! Then to add Insult to Injury he charged me for the shirt. *I Still Have Not gotten a Phone call that they found or are still looking for my Patch. And I can Not get a New one! I think they are incredibly Dishonest and total Flakes! AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!! read more

I dropped a dress off at this tailor and I gave them a WEEK to tailor it for me. I needed a strap on the dress fixed and the waist taken in. The day it's due to be picked up I go to the tailor and they tell me the dress isn't ready yet and asked if I can come back at 4pm. Just before 4 I get a phone call from them asking if I can pick the dress up in a few days instead. I explained that that wasn't possible because I was leaving for a trip the next morning and I needed that dress for my trip. They told me the seamstress would stay late to fix my dress. I go back at 6pm to pick up my dress and the seamstress was already gone so I didn't even get a chance to try it on after she "fixed" it. I tried the dress on at home and the strap was still broken and the waist of the dress was still huge. It was as if no alterations had been made at all. I was absolutely furious that the dress still looked exactly the same as when I dropped it off. Needless to say the dress was unwearable and I was unable to take it on my trip with me. After my trip I went there to get my money back and after some back and forth they finally refunded me my money for the crap job they did. read more

Never had a problem here I come here very often. Have gotten very friendly with everyone in there and I really enjoy this place. The seamstress is so good, nice Italian lady I forget her name, always does a perfect job with any pants I bring in to her. I even brought her white jeans once and they were done great. I've used this dry cleaner for about five years.i spend a thousand dollars a year there. For the most part I have been happy with their work. In the past they have lost a button off my jacket and ruined a drape on me. Not a problem, I'm not a big complainer. However , I had a sweater cleaned. I guess during the cleaning process they ripped a delicate strip of my sweater. I was going to throw the sweater out. When I noticed that they glued my sweater together so I didn't notice that they ruined it. I went in to tell them how disappointed I was and didn't want anything from them. The oriental 31 year old gentleman accused my size small daughters of ruining my old lady extra large sweater and glueing it together. Then he told me that a two year old could have glued them back so perfectly. I'm disappointed and waiting for my phone call back .. read more

This was my first and last time coming to this dry cleaners. I'm not happy at all. I came here Friday and dropped off 3 suits and 3 button up shirts to be dry cleaned and pressed. I told them I needed everything by tomorrow if not Monday the latest and they said ok. I go in today (Monday) and they tell me one of the suits is still dirty and they didn't dry clean one of the suit pants because of a stain that was already on it. As a paying customer I expected the job to be done when they told me it would be and not half assed. I was hoping this place would do a good job being it is convenient right by my house but I won't be coming back here. read more

WORST DRY CLEANERS EVER !!! Horribly expensive. Charged $25 each for 2 small coats. We checked with other cleaners, and they only charge $12 each! Less than half! And the coats are not clean at all. Two stains I showed them they could not get out. My main issue however is the customer service. (1) I actually forgot I had the coats there. I left them there for a month, never got one call to remind me about them. (2) I picked up my coats, got home, and noticed the receipt was missing. I get reimbursed for the cleaning so it's important I have the receipt as proof. I called and asked them why they ripped it off. The man said we always rip it off. But why wouldn't you give someone their receipt? I asked if he could just leave it next time and he said just ask to reprint it. I know I'm not always going to remember, I'm used to just getting it and leaving. When my husband proceeded to ask him why we needed to ask for a reprint, he said that's how we do it here and hung up on us! All you have to say is, sure, no problem, I'll leave the receipt for you. That's it. There was no reason to go back and forth with a customer. Prices and service combined were less than desired. Will not be back. This place is hortible. I brought 2 hoodies there to have the zippers fixed, one restitched and one replaced. They charged me the same price for both, the price of replacing the zippers. I brought them in on 6/11/15. I was promised they would be ready by 6/24/15. It is now 7/13/15, over an month later, and I still dont have them back. Im told the boss didnt order the zipper. And no one could be bothered to tell me this so I have wasted my time going back and forth 3 times now. Im always told "next week". I should have listened to my mother when she told me that they ruined the fur coat she had put in storage. Dont waste your time and money here! read more

I've been coming to this dry cleaners for years and there are a lot of reasons why. They have a wonderful tailor who has years of experience and it shows. They make sure to follow my instructions on starch levels for different shirts (based on material). Once, they let me know that they had replaced a button on a shirt that had fallen off. I hadn't even noticed it but that's the attention to detail I really appreciate. Just a few reasons why I'll keep coming back! read more

Had a last minute emergency alteration and these guys saved the day. Had an evening wedding to attend on a Saturday. Major screw-up with dress I ordered from store so forced to buy last-minute dress the night before the wedding. Found dress but needed hem alteration badly. By the grace of God, found this place and was first customer that Saturday. Seamstress provided her opinion on best way of hemming and did the job. Got dress back before 3pm and all was right with the world. I've been bringing my clothes there from then on for the professional work. Totally happy and satisfied. read more

Rip-off. I brought something here to be dry-cleaned and when I picked it up I noticed there were still stains on it. When I brought it back in I was told that they didn't even clean it because the person at the counter misunderstood me and thought I only wanted it ironed. When I picked it up the second time after being "cleaned" there were more stains on it to begin with, and none of them were from me! I tried to wash the garment myself but by now the stains were set-in so they're impossible to remove. On top of that if you want something hemmed or a coat cleaned their prices are ridiculously expensive in comparison to other cleaners in Queens. Never returning. read more

Just had my first visit here. I would highly recommend this place to everyone. I dropped off about 30 items in total. Coats, sweaters, dresses, leather jackets. They did amazing job with everything. I usually bring things her that need to be stiched that tear etc. They were charging $5 for a sewing, then increased the price to $6, i understand price increases but for a $25 top it really doesn't pay at that point, and for a minor stich i just think it's a little much. So incident 1 was i asked this drap top to be stiched in the front by the bust so i wasnt falling out of it, just a little tack so it doesnt fly open. They sewed the whole thing down the middle and it wasn't even high enough to alleviate the issue. My fault was not looking at it until i got home, so i brought it back a few days later and they were questioning if i got it done there and so forth, it wasnt done the way i asked so i didn't want to pay again and they really didnt want to redo it. So basically they said ok they'll fix but charged me $10 to fix the other item i brought in to make up for the fact that they weren't getting paid for their mistake on the other. After that I wasnt going back there. So incident 2 i didn't have time to go somewhere else, I brought a dress top in to have let out in the bust and the woman helping me was like i dont think so but you can ask the seamstress, I went over to her and asked her she looked at it and said "No, this is for skinny people you are big". Ok thanks for the opinion, don't care. Ive never been insulted in a place where YOU'RE PAYING THEM. I will never in my life step back in there, and to the seamstress, disgusting service and if you're unhappy with life than maybe retail isnt the job for you. read more
