I had tried out several pediatricians before finding her. She works at the Oakland One Medical and we travel from San Francisco to see her because she is that great! I love that she is patient, calm, and not high strung (the first pediatrician we had was SUPER high strung). She is also very kind, attentive, and she just really seems genuinely caring of my son's well-being. She always takes the time to listen and she has always been very thorough and prompt with responses over their messaging system. As a new Mom, you have a lot of questions, and she has always been very patient and understanding with all of mine. When I had an issue with something else in the office, she really took initiative to help me with my concerns and resolve the situation. I also like that she's very easy to talk to and her advice is often a combination of prudent and realistic. She is an exceptional doctor, has been a wonderful resource, and I highly recommend her!

Great multitasker too - as she took notes, she pointed the screen at me so that I could see what she was doing, and she gracefully kept up the conversation. After I disclosed my discomfort around giving blood, she revised her plan to try and get as much done with only one blood draw. Dr. McCune also gave me some tips on how to handle the blood draw. Unfortunately I still passed out like a light, but we were well prepared and the staff in her office were incredible. Dr. McCune's medical assistant, Brittany, was also very kind and attentive. We had great conversation and she put me at ease during one of the shots. Unfortunately my appointment did start 45-60 minutes late that day (not sure if this occurs frequently), but in general I have heard all doctor visits often start late. I'll certainly be back! The procedure/surgery was performed in early May and I have completed my 3 month blanking period and just saw him in follow-up. I couldn't be more pleased that I am lucky enough to have him as my electro-cardiologist. While I am sure there are many very capable electro-cardiologists out there, Dr. Kang is, by reputation and personal experience, a cut above. What he does is part science and part art - you either got it or you don't and he's got it. I am hopeful that my AFib is gone for good but I am grateful for the time and effort he put into my surgery and it's so far favorably outcome. He is also a good communicator and actually follows his patients. It certainly helps that he has such high caliber PAs at his group. Messages through the Sutter app are promptly responded to with the responses typically complete and informative. I have had office visits with just a PA and leave feeling like I saw a Cardiologist such is the caliber and training of the PA staff there. Even the medical assistants are top notch. Frankly, you can't go wrong with any of the cardiologists at this group right across the street from Summit Alta Bates Hospital in Oakland but they have a couple of real stars in Dr. Kang and my regular cardiologist, Dr. Johnson. Prior review: I was recently referred to Dr. Kang by my cardiologist for an ablation that is upcoming in May. I have only praise for his clear and forthcoming responses and guidance in my two pre-surgical office visits. He is engaging, empathetic and clearly an expert in his field - every one of my Doctors speaks glowingly of him as well. I feel fortunate to have managed to be one of his patients.

Dr. Amy is exceptionally knowledgeable and truly cares for her patients. Her office gives off a warm, cozy vibe unlike traditional doctor offices.
