Helping me narrow down my needs based on my current " no carved in stone plan" James professionally helped me understand some of the differences, pros, cons etc of motor homes. Jumping in his golf cart I was provided with An informative tour of the vast inventory at Camping World. I left having narrowed down my needs and a list of options to think about as I begin serious planning. Soon,I'll know exactly what I need and have James find it . If you want a true pro on your motorhome or travel trailer needs, James Patillo at Camping World Sherman is your man... Go!

A lot of important info was lost on us. We purchased a used 2024 model thinking we did good. It was delivered to us with a dead battery. Service dept promised a reimbursement for the battery we purchased, which was great, but a month later, we still haven't received the check. The RV also had low pressure in all the tires (less than 60 psi) and we had to buy a air pump to fill them to get the RV out of storage when they finally delivered us the keys. Today we took the RV on our first camping trip. While driving down the highway, we watched the seal trim come off of the driver side door and flap in the wind. This was the same seal we told our salesman was loose during our walk thru that we were advised was to be fixed. We pulled off the road and pushed in back in. We purchased the "let's go camping" package that was to include all of our hookups and a thorough walk thru. Okay, being new RV ppl, we had no idea what all the hookup would be needed, so we trusted that. Today, taking it out on its maiden voyage, we discovered that the shore line plug was missing. We sure did buy the extension cord, per recommendation, but the power cable that comes with the RV was not in the trunk. We had to go home, from our vacation, bc it was too hot without electricity. Just so disappointed with Camping World.

During that time I dealt with four different people in the service department because the point of contact kept changing. Getting updates was difficult and most of the time I had to repeatedly call, leave messages, or physically drive to the dealership just to get information. Even then, the responses often felt dismissive and unhelpful. I do understand that staffing changes happen and one of the service advisors is no longer there, but that does not excuse the complete lack of communication and customer service we experienced. What made the situation even more frustrating was finally picking up the RV after almost two months only to discover that the recall related issues were still happening exactly as before. We returned to discuss the problem and initially were told the technician drove the RV and everything was fixed. However, deeper in the technician notes it stated that Spartan, the chassis manufacturer, does not yet have a fix for these known issues. Apparently the problems are known and not considered unsafe, but no one communicated that to us before pickup. Had someone simply explained the situation honestly and proactively, this entire experience would have gone much differently. Instead we spent two months waiting, struggled to get updates, picked up the RV believing the issues were resolved, and immediately discovered they were not. We chose NIRVC because of the positive image they project online and through RV influencer reviews, but based on our experience the service department fell far short of expectations. The lack of communication, poor follow through, and failure to clearly explain unresolved issues made this an incredibly disappointing experience.

She would not talk to me. She would not negotiate with me, she simply said the prices are set. I've been in retail for 45 years the last nine of it at an RV dealership and there's no such thing as set prices. Everything is negotiable and with that she started down the wrong path as far as I was concerned. All she wanted to do in concert in concert with the GM was to prove me wrong and that's detestable in a horrible business attitude. Secondarily there are two individuals that I would like to command with their attitude. Janne, the front receptionist fabulous very engaging very helpful and Kyle in service very informative very helpful Rachel and the GM not so much.
