Terrible experience went there looking for help on explaining financial issues and they offered to help us by showing us new campers to get out of the one a camping world sold us and said "we want to make this right " and "I'll work with my GM to find one". showed us two campers one way out of budget but was told "don't worry about price we will get you were you need to be". absolutely ridiculous behavior flat out lies. told my spouse and I that they would call the next day to make it right and give us options never did. went in for a part and they never greeted us once. zero stars. read more

Seems like everything that goes wrong with our RV is bc Camping World did us wrong from day 1. We were brand new RV shoppers, who unfortunately got a rookie RV salesman. A lot of important info was lost on us. We purchased a used 2024 model thinking we did good. It was delivered to us with a dead battery. Service dept promised a reimbursement for the battery we purchased, which was great, but a month later, we still haven't received the check. The RV also had low pressure in all the tires (less than 60 psi) and we had to buy a air pump to fill them to get the RV out of storage when they finally delivered us the keys. Today we took the RV on our first camping trip. While driving down the highway, we watched the seal trim come off of the driver side door and flap in the wind. This was the same seal we told our salesman was loose during our walk thru that we were advised was to be fixed. We pulled off the road and pushed in back in. We purchased the "let's go camping" package that was to include all of our hookups and a thorough walk thru. Okay, being new RV ppl, we had no idea what all the hookup would be needed, so we trusted that. Today, taking it out on its maiden voyage, we discovered that the shore line plug was missing. We sure did buy the extension cord, per recommendation, but the power cable that comes with the RV was not in the trunk. We had to go home, from our vacation, bc it was too hot without electricity. They sent a guy out to me, but they they're getting rid of the mobile mechanic which was the opposite of what the guy told me when he was selling me the insurance. water heater ain't working properly. I will never go back to this business again. My son set an online to go talk to salesman this morning to get his first camper. We get there they barely acknowledge his presence because he's young. The sales person that he scheduled with wouldn't even bother to come speak with him they sent somebody else. Be careful taking your camper in to get repaired. Took mine in to have the roof resealed and ended up getting damaged while being brought out of the bay after the roof was fixed. When I went down to inspect the damages after being told about this, they said they already filed a claim with their insurance and was ordering the parts to repair it but after the total cost of $18,000, it looks like it should have been totaled and they also told me that they had the same thing happen to someone's camper the next day. Now, the camper is fixed but I asked to have the frame inspected and was told they did inspect it and trust their mechanics but the bunk part on the driver side looks like it is arched still and they told me there was no structural damage done to the camper, but they also had to replace the support braces under the tongue. Gave them the option to buy my camper now and they are only wanting to give me the price that Corporate is willing to pay with the cost of the damage. read more

RUN away from this place! You will be sorry if you do any business with them! We were promised that the RV would be completely cleaned from top to bottom before delivery. Unfortunately, it was not and I had to spend 2 days cleaning the unit before we could leave on our first trip. One of the large pull down shades was also broken upon inspection. We were told it would be fixed or replaced. It was not and is still broken. We were told the missing grill would be replaced on the swing arm that attached to the Forest River Wildwood, allowing us to experience and use the full outdoor space and kitchen; however, we were given a cheap grill that does not fit the swing arm. It's useless to us unless we purchase an outdoor table safe for grilling. The black tank was not cleaned, even though we were told it would be, so that was an unfortunate surprise when we started using the bathroom. We were also told the tires were safe and still viable; however, we had a blow out on the road back and had no help with Good Sams getting it repaired, even though we have extended coverage. A 3 hour trip with 3 kids and 2 dogs took us 10 hours and thank God we did not have a wreck on the road. All in all, we feel that we were told one thing and received another. The communication between sales, service and finance can be improved. If felt as if we were a cog in the sales quota wheel, verses a family taking a risk and doing something new, hoping to love RVing. We are a modest income family. It was financial stretch for us to purchase this RV; so far we feel that we made a HUGE in the purchase and in choosing to partner with your company. After our one and only trip, we are struggling with anxiety and now wonder if this is for us. Camping World could have done much better setting us up for success and fueling the love of camping and Camping World. It seem like your business depends on the above sentence? When I finally got it, they made an error in financing and had to run my application multiple times due to selecting the wrong bank. Over $1500 worth of items that were to be included weren't (power cord, propane, TV, etc). We went here when we were looking for a camper. They were friendly when we first entered, but once we began talking were very pushy. After leaving I got phone calls for weeks trying to get us to come by their over priced RVs. We are currently staying in the rv park next door to them and they are terrible neighbors. They have campers taking up the whole road, leave doors open and lights on for ones they have in their repair yard. This weekend we needed propane so my husband walked over with our tanks and was there for over ten minutes in the lobby before anyone even acknowledged him, then it was with what do you need, not friendly or courteous. AVOID AT ALL COST. We have had an 11-month nightmare "working" with the CW Sherman location. The only positive I can say is that new Services GM Robert Andrews is doing his best to clean up the mess. Sales - The salesman Joe told us "they are all built like sh*t, so which sh*t do you want". We shopped around at multiple locations, but were in a bind and needing to purchase ASAP, CW Sherman had the model we were looking for. Joe misfiled our paperwork, and gave us the wrong RV twice at time of pickup. Services - We took our RV in for the 90-day warrantee inspection. All repairs were cosmetic. The services worker noted - what we thought were - all of the issues to be resolved. He told us they would order the parts and we could bring the RV back for the work to be done. We dropped our RV off at CW Sherman on November 2, 2022 and have yet - as of May 2023 - to have all of the repairs completed. The entire services department has turned over, but even the new staff failed to order or complete work timely. While on-site, our RV had further damages due to a winter storm, freezing our pipes and hail damage. We were informed of the frozen pipes weeks later, we were never contacted regarding the hail damage. The last of the parts were ordered in April 2023 that should have been ordered in September 2022. As of today, we are still waiting on 3 items to be fixed. ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE Customer Service - I placed a complaint via customer service, detailing the timeline and challenges we've had with this location. Haley F. was our "representative" and "advocate". She was condescending and incompetent. I asked about escalation or investigative processes multiple times, but she continued to contradict herself. I asked for a peer-review of her "investigation" of the negligence of the CW Sherman services team, but this was denied. CW offered $600 for our troubles, which frankly is a slap in the face for dealing with the lack of professionalism, lack of communication, and overall respect of their customers for almost 1 year. We chose to not accept this payment, and instead have the opportunity to share our miserable experience publicly. read more

One of the worst experiences of our lives. The time, energy, and money we spent dealing with Sherman CW was unacceptable. We urge you to use another CW location or repairshop, even if it's further away. In summary: 1) FAILURE TO PROVIDE BASIC WARRANTY SERVICES: They took 2.5 months to fix our broken slide-out (spoiler: it broke again immediately, and another CW location ended up fixing it in ONE DAY). Sherman CW claimed their delay was to order parts, but we learned later on that these new parts arrived and sat in their store for weeks! Absolutely no updates during this time, btw! We had to stay at a hotel, which was naturally a huge cost for us. After they "fixed" the slide-out, it broke again after only 3 uses! We're no experts, but we suspect they didn't know what they were doing. Icing on the cake? We got it re-fixed at another CW location, and they fixed it in ONE DAY. Tell me why did it take Sherman CW 2+ months?! 2) INABILITY TO PERFORM UPGRADES: On top of warranty reparis, we paid for $1,000+ of upgrades -- ALL were performed incorrectly. We discovered this on first use, which we suspect means they didn't even test it themselves. One (of many) examples: they replaced our vent hood with shoddy sealant, so it was leaking -- they charged us 1 hour @ $200 for this! We could've done a better job ourselves. To be fair, they offered to fix their mistakes, but they had the nerve to try to charge us a second time! Serious salt on the wound. 3) BROKEN CUSTOMER SERVICE: The service team repeatedly (no less than 10 times) made promises to us - for example, to provide updates or to quote timelines - and not ONE promise was met. We constantly called them for updates (this was necessary as they NEVER proactively reached out to us), and messages went unanswered for days. We were also frequently directed to different service members due to turnover. read more

They go full out to sale you a camper but that is where the customer service ends. We purchased a unit with two issues one of which we pointed out (missing door on medicine cabinet) a week before taking possession of the unit. I have been trying for over a month to get an update as to when the issues will be resolved and always get an excuse as to why they cannot give me an answer. Camping World Sherman Texas has simply the poorest customer service in any industry that I have ever received. If you are looking for a camper I strongly recommend you look elsewhere where the after-sale service experience is as good as the before sale experience. The whole experience from this place was just horrible. From purchase to service. The minor things they promised to replace, that were notated on the purchase agreement have yet to me fulfilled months later. I called in on the phone to see what I needed to do about the brand new camper I purchased from this location, because the cable on the slide out has already broken after using the camper 3 times. ( not camping worlds fault, but just poor craftsmanship on forest riverI was told over the phone to bring it in for a diagnosis. So I bring it in. Upon arrival I am told I need to make an appointment for diagnosis. Why this was not mention over the phone I don't know. It took me three minuets to figure out the cable was snapped, and I'm not a camper technician. I'm sure if I looked an additional three minutes I could tell you what snapped it. So I ask the man behind the desk what times are available to bring it back, he said any day. But not today? He wants me to drop my camper off, and leave it there until THEY have time to look at it, instead of giving me an appointed 15 minuets and sending me on my way while they order parts or whatever it is that they actually do. Every time I roll up to this place, there's two technicians on a smoke break. Maybe if they spent more time working, and less time chewing the fat, they wouldn't be two months out on repairs. Update : 11/17/19 I can't begin to explain all the negative emotions this place sparks. I will need extensive therapy to understand this businesses practices for service. After they had my camper for several months for simple repairs such as trim door clasps etc., (covered under warranty) This is how it is returned to me. This is one of the many items on the list that this camper needed to have replaced. The trim on the top of the door had was given to us broken when we bought this camper brand new from Sherman. How they managed to jack up the bottom of the door and give it back to me with a gaping hole Astonishes me. My camper was level at the time of the walk, pulled it 20 minutes down the road, auto level was a joke and they told me that it was my issue once I pulled it off the lot. I can honestly say that Marcus cares and is an awesome CEO. We know that in the future he has our back as sometimes there are bad apples in any dealership but Marcus can make them do the right thing. If I could give zero stars I would. The one star goes to the Service team, they were good to work with, especially Kris. He was great during our walkthrough. Now, on to Sales, which gets ZERO stars. I have waited almost two months to write this review because every time I think about our experience my blood just boils. Let me just say this. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS LOCATION! The paperwork changed so many times, including verbiage, it wasn't even funny. I think we signed four different contracts and when we finally made it to finance, it was so confusing that the finance manager couldn't even decipher it. The sales manager was unprofessional, rude and in my opinion, unethical. We seriously considered reporting this location to the BBB. My husband received a link to provide feedback, which he did, clearly stating the issues I have noted above. This supposedly went to the CEO of Camping World. I seriously wonder if anyone even read it because we got ZERO feedback. So much for Camping World's moto of "if you're not satisfied". Creig at campingworld in Sherman was wanting me to look at a couple of their rv toy boxes. I told him from the start that I would rather look at them in Mesquite, seeing I live close to there. He was pushing me to drive over a hour one way to Sherman to see a couple that was there. I let him know that seeing this was a want, and not a need, I'm not going to play games and wasting my time when there are minimum 3 dealers within 10 minutes from me. I set up a appointment to drive out there this morning to see the RVs, I even adjusted the time for him, as he whined that he had to adjust a few things. So I'm making a effort to work with him. Our appointment was at 2. I drive over a hour, and arrive at 2. I'm walking in,and some lady came out and I told her I had a 2 o'clock appointment with creig. She told me he was not available and she would try to see if she could find him. After all the BS about me getting a run around, he was not there. I texted him, and let him know that this was a waste of my time. He texed back that his appointment was running late. Common courtesy is if you are not going to be at a appointment you agreed to, you text and let the party know, or when your appointment shows up, you have someone else take care of them. It's all about good customer service, which this dealership does not have. He calls and tells me his appointment was late, like I was really going to care, as he knew my feelings on the run around. He then calls me as I'm driving out, and rudely asks me where I'm at. I told him driving away, He argued with me about his other appointment, I told him I drove from Dallas, on his word of taking care of me. He then asked me in a smart ass tone "what do you want me to do?" I told him nothing, hung up, and will let everyone know how I was treated by this dealership. This guy creig has the attitude of a shady used car salesman. I drive my truck there, to tow the toy box I was going to purchase. If I was just looking, I would have drove one of small cars. If you are going to buy a camper, I highly recommend you STAY AWAY FROM Camping World. I repeat: Camping World is not worth your business. The ONLY thing they care about is the sale. Beyond that, they have no value for you as a customer. We bought a brand-new 2020 Surveyor by Forest River travel trailer less than a year ago. From the moment we stepped in until the moment we took possession of the trailer, their sales rep was in constant contact with us - he wanted to make sure he got his commission check! I brought the Surveyor into the shop back in January due for repair. I was patient and just said we needed to have it repaired by the beginning of April. THREE MONTHS. They agreed! "No problem," they said. (This was a warranty repair because campers nowadays carelessly assembled with low-quality materials, but that's a completely different subject.) I have received approximately one call per month since then - including today. It's almost MAY and they are telling me yet again that "we still don't have the part" and that "we contacted the manufacturer and it shows delivered but signed by someone at a completely different Camping World location so we have to send in a new order." They don't care - it must be my problem. I'm the one making payments to the bank for a product I can't even use. I am SO MAD. Parts dude says, "I'm just calling to give you an update." No, parts dude, you are also the person that notated my minor issues on the purchase agreement before I took possession and never bothered to follow up with fulfilling your promise to fix them! read more

Their selection is somewhat limited compared to other RV sellers. Other sellers (like in the DFW area) have a bigger selection. I will say that they do leave the RVs open during business hours so customers can look inside which is important. They are fairly busy and have repair as well. We bought a 2023 Jayco Eagle 5/17/2023 we already had a warranty from before and that is why father I law went there even though he know camping world was trash when it came to actually helping customers!! From day one we had problems and they wanted us to keep taking it in for the $50 deductible but I went through the whole place and found almost everything wrong to go get replaced so we could take it in once for repairs! We started loading it up to take a trip to Florida which was way more than what we needed but you no women they need everything on vacation but we came into the camper and all the electric was out beside the lights that weee running off the battery the electric guy came out and check everything with the electrical and told us that it was all good so I called camping world and they told us late August before we could bring it in which I knew after the summer before last our a/c went out and they had 30 in the show room but it took 3 months to get one from china because we were paying for a $50 deductible and they didn't want to get ride of one so cheap! I tried telling my father in law to get the same one from Florida with the Blue Compass Warranty because they put you in front of the line when you on vacation because they treat their customers like VIP UNLIKE CAMPING WORLD they just want to screw u out of every thing you can get I even called corporate because I called camping world in Sherman to speak to a manager and they hung up on me which is trash! Don't waste your time! The salesman and sales manager are liars and cheats. We found a fantastic deal on a used camper! Inquired over the phone and were told it was in great condition and "corporate" just set a really good price because the old service manager took in too many campers and had left it for too long. We drove 2 hours only to be called 30 minutes from the dealership and told the camper wasn't there. They said it was at the local welding and tire shop getting new tires. We initially thought it was odd, because why would a camping store of this caliber not do their own tire work? When we told them we were close and asked if we could possibly go to the tire shop to check it out they said no. We drove back the next day to see the completed camper, only to find the tires had not been replaced and the trailer had flood damage on every wall and soft floors. The sales manager lied directly to us and tried to sell our little family a damaged trailer. The general manager was made aware of the situation and didn't even bat an eye, before trying to upswell us on something else. After reading yelp reviews, this seems to be their common practice! I wish there was a 0 star rating as they deserve that. Nothing is easy with this place and everything, even the simple tasks take forever to accomplish. It took over 3 months to get our tags and registration and this was only accomplished after 5 different phone calls and a couple of extra visits to the store. The visits were not soemthing we wanted to do as it's a good drive from our house. But, we want get this settled. Don't buy the extended service plan. Its a trash policy and when you go to cancel they give you the run around and make you jump thru hoops to get it cancelled. All of the delay means more money for them and less of a refund for us. Convenient right? We are still jumping thru their obstacle course to cancel our policy and have no faith this will be done quickly. What a headache and nightmare this place is. Also, no one is ever free to take your calls. You'll leave message after message with some dingbat receptionist, to just be disregarded and not get a call back. Started looking for a Jayco toy hauler and found one on-line at Camping World Sherman, TX. I inquired about the unit, negotiated a price and set up a time and date for delivery. This was approximately 1-1 1/2 weeks before the actual pickup of the unit. I live in Florence, Oregon, and the drive took just over 2 1/2 days to Sherman. I told the salesperson in advance when I would be there, and an hour before arrival I called to confirm my arrival time. I arrived and waited almost an hour and a half before anyone helped me. Finally started the walk-through; the rep that was responsible for the walk-through was apparently unfamiliar with the unit. I asked several questions, and he could not answer questions about the rig. I requested another individual who actually knew something about this rig, to which he responded that he knew enough about it. Finally got another rep to finish the walk-through. At the same time as my walk-through, the staff was installing a 5th-wheel hitch in the bed of my truck. I had contacted the service department about installing a particular hitch that I had found online; they talked me out of it and into an American 5th wheel hitch. They stated they had sold a lot of them and had just ordered 10 more. As they were trying to install the hitch there were 3-4 individuals standing there scratching their heads trying to figure out how to install the unit that they had talked me into buying. They finally found a manual and figured out how to install the hitch. I continued my walk-through, and the new rep was not familiar with the rig and could not answer all of my questions. At the time, the trailer was plugged into shore power and everything appeared to be working in the rig. At the completion of the walk through we went in to complete the paperwork. The F&I man was going through the paperwork and asked me about an extended service contract. He offered the service contract to me for a price, and I declined due to the fact that I had been in the automobile business at one point and we had sold service contracts to get a larger profit margin. Most of the time it was never worth the money. We hooked the rig to the truck, asked about a couple of the items that were not working. One was a fireplace problem that apparently they did not notice until the day before I arrived. They were supposed to install a solar unit onto the rig. That was set up a week before delivery, but the day before the delivery I was called while I was on the road and was told the solar panel was on back order. They said they had a larger panel that the would install for additional money. I told them to install the more expensive panel. As I was getting ready to leave for home in Oregon, I asked if the solar panel had been installed. I was then told it did not fit the rig. At that time there was no paperwork for any repair order, and no one told me that the solar panel had not been installed. At that time I was told that parts would be ordered and would be sent to the Camping World in Eugene, Oregon, an hour from my home. We left for home and stopped for food and supplies for the 3-day trip. Approximately 100 miles from the dealership we stopped for the night. At that time I realized that the generator and inverter were not operable which resulted in the spoiling of all the food we had bought for the trip home. The generator would not charge the coach, the inverter would not work. The only way the coach worked was on shore power, which we found out when we got home. The rig tows great, though! I called them when I got home and told the GM, Robert Burns, about all the problems with the rig and the inefficiency of his facility and staff. At the same time I notified him that the 5th wheel hitch was improperly installed. The staff failed to measure the ball properly to the top of the bed of the truck. Consequently, after several tight turns at fueling stations, I realized the trailer was hitting the truck bed. He told me he would have individuals from each department call me. I received one call from a service technician about all of my complaints with the inoperative coach. After 12 days I called to follow up with the Camping World in Eugene, Oregon, to see if the parts had been received. I was told that they had no information about any parts being received for expected to be coming in to their facility. They had no idea who I was. I called an talked to the salesman in Sherman, TX . He stated the parts had not been ordered due to the fact that they could not find a solar panel to fit the rig. Apparently the other items had not been ordered, either. Due to the fact that I did not take the service contract, which I am being told is approximately $5,000, the rig is not covered on any electrical after it leaves the property. At this time I will probably have to pay additional fees for repairs on a rig that was not properly inspected before delivery. read more

ITS AMAZING HOW ONE PERSON CHANGES THE FEELING OF A COMPANY... We have had some horrible service with Camping World. We needed an Invisibrake system we purchased to be installed into our Jeep. We called 7 places in the area including the dealership, and Camping World was the only place who could do it. We were not happy, but we needed it done. We called on Monday to set the appointment for that week. They quoted us 2-3 max hours of labor and set us up for Saturday. We told them we could do any day before that, but we were promised Saturday was going to be fine. We showed up at 8:30 am Saturday morning as told, and they had no record of our appointment. They seemed confused we were there. Sean Crain changed our whole perspective on Camping World as a company. He made sure to accommodate us that morning. He took the parts we purchased, and his team installed the parts. We were leaving on a trip the next morning, so Dale the tech and TJ the night service manager stayed until almost 11:00pm to finish the job. Sean kept the word of someone else to ensure we had our Jeep completed by the time we needed, and he held to the quote of our service even though it took them longer. We are forever grateful for Sean and his team. They really changed how we will think of Camping World going forward. Thank you does not begin to cover it. read more

Do not take your RV here. Took mine in for an awning repair. 2 months later, after leaving numerous messages and talking to four different employees, I still never got a quote on the awning. Most of the time, they didn't even show I needed the awning repaired on the order. Four of them gave different ballpark amounts from $600 to $2500 but could not give an exact quote because they didn't know what the shipping would be. How can you not know what the shipping will be on the parts to fix my trailer? What company doesn't tell you what shipping will be when you give them an address? Tried to escalate to a manager, they all said they don't have a manager. Finally, just told them I was picking it up and taking it somewhere else. They offered no apology or didn't even try to make it right. So I'm taking it elsewhere now. Will never go back to this store again. Please do not take it here. Where do I begin? Don't use their repair service, was only supposed to take two weeks to do a 45 point check took 3 weeks. And when my husband went to pick up our camper nothing was done,but they wanted to charge us for the 45 point check. I went to talk to the manager to make a complaint about services not being done, he gave us everything for free which I thought was a little strange. Then come to ding out a week later I found out why, on the 45 point inspection paperwork they stated the antenna was hard to crank, they left it up so when they drove it into their shop they must have crushed it! We didn't see the damage till a week later!! Please do not use them!!! read more

Dale was out salesman and was grest! We went on 6/11 wit a list of 7 campers we wanted to look st. He took us to each one snd, when we'd decided, he gave us lots of info on the unit. He delivered the trailer to our house the same evening. Unfortunately there was an electrical issue with the stereo the mobile tech couldn't fix and a leak around a window and he too trailer back to Sherman. And here's where it goes bad! When I called service several days later to check status, I was told the trailer was there a day and a half before service was made aware! jT and Kedrick play tag team..no matter which you talk to, it's the other (who's not available) who supposedly had the answer. 2 weeks later, we drove to dealership and were going to sit until the trailer was ready and, amazingly, it was ready....except the window still leaked...We fixed it ourselves. We were told service staff is down due to Covid but communication is terribly lacking. read more
