Nic rocks!! I don't think my kitchen knives have ever been sharper. After a fairly disappointing sharpening experience at a mall knife store, and after reading all the great reviews, I decided to give Hower's a try. I contacted Nic through Yelp and we made an appointment for me to bring my knives by. When I got there he took a look at what I had and quizzed me on how we use the knives so he could determine the best sharpening angle for each one. Then he got to work and within about 20 minutes all eight of my knives were sharp again. I didn't realize that he is also a knife dealer and ended up buying a new 8-in chef's knife from him as well. I called Hower's two days ago in a real panic over a very expensive knife that my son accidentally damaged, that belongs to my father. Not only was he kind, down to earth and empathetic about my situation when I called, he offered to fix it for me -that night- after work hours. Talk about service! I've been trying to find a new scissor sharpener for my dog grooming scissors and am so glad. I finally found Nic! The last person who I paid to sharpen my scissors sharpened them incorrectly and they weren't working right and Nic resharpened them and now they are working like new again.
