This was my 2nd time here (the first time was just to grab a quick drink while waiting for a friend). It was a first date, so props to that guy for picking here. We had an hour and a half wait for bowling (which we expected) so we grabbed a drink at the bar while we waited, the bartenders were super attentive (and it was a pretty busy bar). After 2 drinks we got a text that our lane was ready so we headed over. Our waitress over there was Shelly (Laura Croft) and she was awesome, she checked in on us and kept our drinks coming with a smile, and at this point the place was packed (there was a costume party going on) The pizza was ok, not bad, not great, typical for a bowling alley/ bar. There was a nice variety of drink options (and plenty of other food choices). A couple we ended up bowling with after our two games had wings and said they were great. So maybe we'll get wings instead of pizza next time.. We stayed until almost 2am dancing to the live dueling pianos. It was so much fun, and they had a wide variety of songs so we didn't get bored. First time was for a work event. Very easy to check in via a guest list. We ordered a lot of pizza, we were told to watch the bar for t to arrive , but she brought it straight to the table for us - which was great as it was really busy!! They have buckets of fruity drinks that were much better price than individual ones! No complaints! read more

The absolute worst burger I've ever gotten at any sit down restaurant. Supposed to be a "smash burger" with two patties. Comes out with one burger patty that has not been "smashed". The bun itself was less than fresh and was dry and crumbly. The burger was obviously frozen, and dry, and tasteless. It was honestly horrible. read more

I had a great time here with my son and sons father but I couldn't believe the lack of service considering we were the only 3 people in the entire restaurant/bowling alley! It was our first time going there and it looks like an amazing place with a ton of potential! For example I had no idea there were private luxury golfing boxes- they lost money right off the bat because my family would undoubtedly have tried it. We didn't know about the golfing suites just the bowling so when we walked in the hostess person asked us if we wanted to play 1 game or 2 and unfortunately didn't explain ANYTHING else!! The hostess asked our names and shoe sizes & then proceeded to carry the bowling shoes over to our table. Shortly after a young waitress came over and we ordered drinks. The menu is really small and they don't have much of a selection. We then ordered dinner for both adults and a kids meal chicken tender. The food took a really long time to come out and when it did- it was nothing special. Don't get me wrong- it was good (both adults ate everything) but the buns were saturated in grease/oil. The waitress was somewhat attentive but not really friendly, she actually had a poor attitude. Like she asked if my son needed a high chair and I said no thank you and she's like ok well I'm just making sure (in a cocky tone). She used this cocky line several times while I was being more than polite. When I tell you that we were THE ONLY PEOPLE in here- I'm not exaggerating. There was one nearby table but they left so we had the entire restaurant/bowling alley to ourselves so you think we would have had impeccable service but we did not. Here's where things get bizarre! We got the check and the waitress came over and asked if we were all set and I said yes it's all set. AGAIN she asked if we needed change and I said no it's all set. So my toddler son needed to use the bathroom so his father took him while I waited outside. During this time I saw the same waitress appear to be talking (almost telling) to herself and nodding her head in disgust- as if she wasn't happy!! WHAT?!? The bill came out to $55 and as a bartender myself I left over 20%! I actually gave her a 25% tip of $13 (even though she was cocky and had a poor attitude but it's how she makes a living I thought). Then she saw me outside and actually threw her hands up in the air at me like "screw you" or like she wanted to fight me (that was the hand motion). WHILE SHAKING HER HEAD NO & I'm not sure if it's because we left the bowling shoes there (neatly lined up mind you). I had no idea where they were supposed to go because nobody EXPLAINED or instructed us on what to do. And regardless YOU NEVER EVER THROW your hands up in a threatening manner- ESPECIALLY at a customer who left you a MORE then generous tip! I was SHOCKED by this behavior! She was extremely rude, extremely unprofessional & immature and it completely turned me off to this establishment. If I didn't have my toddler son with me I would have went back in and confronted the immature server. I actually want an explanation for this rude behavior!! I'm contemplating contacting management but not sure if it's worth it. Sadly we will not be returning any time soon. This was my first time here. It was for a Fanatics event for a MNF watch party and a meet and greet with New England Patriots RB James White. The event included a buffet and 2 drink tickets per person. The buffet was really good. Pizza, chicken tenders, cheeseburger sliders, etc. I have to say the food was pretty good and fresh. The waitstaff were very attentive and friendly. This is actually a cool place to watch some games, grab some drinks and hang out. I was impressed with how this event went. This was a fun place. The only reason for the poor rating was the ladies room. I've never seen such a filthy one anywhere. Without going into too much grotesque detail (which is hard for me to do being that I am a Writer) it was impossible to find a toilet that had actually been flushed. Utilizing a sustainable and environmentally friendly system, everywhere in the Patriot Place complex uses recycled water so it may look yellow. On event days, when there is a lot of flushing at Gillette Stadium (and in the plaza), the water can get dark but please advise it is only recycled water. Average burger bar convenient to Gillette Stadium's main stairway to Patriot Place. Portions are small, but there is decent variety. Kid menu portions are super small. A burger on the kid menu is more of a single slider, which is tiny if your kid menu goes up to age 10. Outdoor patio overlooks Patriot Place thoroughfare. Interior bar shares its space with retro fun Splitsville bowling alleys and tables. Food is neither special nor horrible, and place is kid friendly for sure. read more

After making a reservation for 10 boys to bowl for a bday party, I showed up to find that I had most likely booked the reservation at the wrong location and maybe totally different bar. Instead of turning me away with a gaggle of boys, Michael, the manager still managed to accommodate us and not make me feel like a total moron. This place is pretty unique! Prior to a recent visit, I checked out their website. I had trouble envisioning how it all worked together: Dueling Pianos show, bowling, bars and food. But it really does. The place is spacious enough that, even on a busy Saturday night, it didn't feel cramped. There are two over-sized bars, with seating scattered throughout the venue. The pianos were on a stage across the room from one of the bars. The bowling is split up, with a few lanes in one corner, a few in the center, etc. We didn't order any food, but the drinks were good and the service was, too. That's an amazing feat, given the layout and transitory nature of much of the crowd. We were a large group that arrived at very varied times. They were very accommodating and managed to seat us at neighboring tables. The crowd was younger than me, but then again, so was most of my party. The only complaint we had was that the noise level made it a bit difficult to carry on conversations across the table. This was mostly due to the piano show being loud. Let me start by saying, the atmosphere ITSELF isn't bad... The music was good and the drinks were good. BUT. If Howl at the Moon leads you to believe you've "won a party for up to 100 people" use a bit of caution before you get all excited. They make it sound WAY better than it actually is. THEIR CLAIMS: -you can invite up to 100 people -you get a free buffet between 6-8 -you get discounted drink specials -no cover before 9 -the host gets a special gift. IN ACTUALITY: - They say you can invite up to 100 people but what they do not tell you is that the seating is EXTREMELY limited. We arrived at 6, (the earliest you can arrive for the happy hour party). There was ONE table open, and we had about 25 people expected to join us. It wasn't that the place was exactly hoppin', but there are just very few tables. Not to mention, there are about 2 or 3 other "parties" going on the same night as yours. When I asked the waitress if I could pull chairs up to our table, she said no. When I asked what we were supposed to do with more people coming, she said she wasn't sure. Super knowledgeable. So we just had a bunch of people standing around our table, unable to sit down. - The plates provided for the buffet were the smallest plastic plates you've ever seen. I was able to fit 3 crab rangoons on one. The "buffet" was crab rangoons, egg rolls, wings and some salad. Although this was expected, it could have been better. - The discounts were decent, but I'm not really sure they were worth it. When I asked the waitress what was in a Dragon Bowl drink, she laughed and said, "I don't know. It's blue?" Super. I love blue. -No cover before 9. But the cover charge starts at about 8 so all we really got was an hour on everyone else who walked in. Not a huge deal. - The "special gift" was a tacky, cheap, 80's workout looking, water bottle with a howl logo as well as a super cheap looking beer koozie. Overall, we ended up trying to ignore the awfulness of the situation. We had some drinks and danced for awhile. UNTIL we went back to our table and all of our jackets were gone. "They thought we left" - even though we were back and forth from the table, so they had brought them to the courtesy desk. I went to the desk and said, well I didn't leave, but since you have them - can we keep them here until we leave? The answer was no. This being the last straw, we left. Probably won't be back unless we're in the area and don't have another option. Not impressed. Don't let them fool you into thinking you won some special party. It's shit. read more

At Patriots Place, this is combined with the bowling alley so you get something for everyone. A full rectangle bar in the center has a dance floor and stage with live music in front and bowling lanes on each side. This is a great time for big groups or to just go dancing. Although it is technically a dueling piano bar, it is not your typical one. Instead of chairs there is a dance floor; the performers will dance and sing - even on top of the bar; and the music is all types from old school rap to Journey to newer stuff. It was a very cold day. For some reason, I was crazy enough to go to the Patriots tailgate. Thankfully, I didn't get invited to the game. Gster doesn't invite me anymore, since well... i don't watch the game. After being around a fire, smelling like smoke, eating heavy food, and drinking, we decided to warm up at Howl. I have been to Howl in Boston, and wasn't sure what to expect. However, i was very impressed with the entire experience. We were able to be seated right away, despite the football game going on. We also were able to get a lane of bowling for an hour. It was a really good deal! We ordered a bunch of food, which was all delicious. The pizza, chicken fingers, fries... it hit the spot and tasted great. I really loved the idea of the bowling, and the good food. We were a party of 9 and waited an awkward 10 minutes for a hostess to seat us. Eventually we took it upon ourselves to seat ourselves since there were open tables. Once we sat ourselves we waited another 15 minutes before our waiter came over. When the waiter came over he immediately asked us what we wanted even though we only had 2 menus for 9 people that we found on other empty tables. Our food/drink orders were taken, no problem. However my friend and I both ordered mojitos and after one sip we looked at each other and said, "this is awful" it wasn't a mojito. It tasted like a gin and tonic and then they added mint and lime and thought we wouldn't notice. When we told our waiter he responded with "that's a mojito". We offered him to taste it because whatever we received wasn't what we ordered so we ended up sending our drinks back. When the food arrived, some food was missing. We had to wait an additional 15 minutes to have the order corrected for things like missing fries. I ordered the Filet Sliders, when I received my food it was just the filet with the buns they FORGOT to add all the other toppings that belonged on the burger. When I got the waiters attention his response was that's the filet burger and then I pulled out the menu to show him that there were no toppings on it. He said he would go speak with the kitchen and then came back out with 2 onion rings. This is just extremely poor service!!! I will not be coming back here. Don't waste your time or money. Went here on Friday night, for my girlfriend's pre-birthday celebration. The place was quite busy, but not to the point of being crammed and uncomfortable. I didn't get any food, so can't speak to that, but they seemed to have a lot of drink options and the bartenders were courteous and prompt. The pianists were really good and I'd say everyone enjoyed the entertainment. The only reason I am giving Howl At The Moon two stars is because of the atmosphere, everything else sucked. Let's see where do I begin? For beginners, if you win a party for up to 100 people there. It's a joke. I understand that it's a way to promote the bar, but you should be encouraging people to come back, not to give you two stars on yelp. They don't reserve any tables, the buffet was inadequate, and the drink specials were alright. However, if you order a dragon bowl, chances are it's 10% alcohol 90% soda. So spend that $6 wisely. The staff that work there need to be trained better. Our waitress didn't have a clue what she was doing, and I'm not really sure if she knew where she was. If we asked her a question the answer was either, "oh I don't know," "I'm not sure," or "wait what?" I guess that's what you get when you hire someone for their looks and not their intelligence. As for the straw that broke the camel's back? The staff members taking our jackets and bringing them to a desk because they thought "we left." Well if they were paying attention they would have seen that we were back and forth between the bar, the dance floor and our tables. Would I go back? Was there on Saturday September 12th for a bachelorette party. There was a One Direction concert going on so Patriots Place itself was PACKED. However we were kind of shocked to see how dead it was inside this place. Even as the night went on. All the ladies were hoping to have some fun dancing and drinking and celebrating our friends upcoming nuptials. Sadly this place left us bored and looking to head out elsewhere. The music while the musicians were very talented was very low key. Nothing upbeat or that made you want to get up and dance. Or make anybody dance for that matter the floor was empty. Thankfully our party of 20 took off and found some more lively upbeat places inside Patriots Place. Just overall for us a very boring experience. Nothing like the Boston location. Very disappointed we wasted our time. Especially sense we were told months ago that we couldn't book a party as they were going to be waaaayyy to busy due to the One Direction concert. The only reason I like this place is because the drinks are good and the prices are decent. Otherwise they have some of the worst service on the planet. All of the tables around the bar say you have to see the hostess to sit at them, but the hostess is impossible to find. There's a counter at the front entrance that appears to just be check in for the bowling alley. Apparently this is also the hostess stand. After standing there clearly confused for a solid five minutes, we had to ask the girl who had been staring at us in silence where the hostess was - turns out she was the hostess. The guy who then came over to be our waiter, whose name was Matthew C. according to our receipt, was blatantly annoyed that we were only ordering drinks and no food. He wasn't very friendly or welcoming from the start. Then, once we realized dueling pianos wasn't happening, just some terrible cover band was playing, we tried to find our waiter for the check to leave and couldn't. It took us ten minutes to find him behind the bar over with the bowling alleys. By the time we got his attention and received our check it had been almost 30 minutes since we decided we wanted to leave. Ridiculous. Before the remodel there were plenty of tables the customers could chose to sit at if the bar was full. Now only the bar is seat yourself. When the bar is full it's terribly rude to be annoyed that customers want a table just to drink at. Especially a place that's known more for the nightlife than anything. read more

I was at this establishment over Memorial Day Weekend. The open buffet and moderately priced alcohol were welcoming. The staff was courteous and ever present. What made this establishment stand out as AMAZING was a Manager by the name of Jay. I had left my phone in Foxbourough, MA and traveled back to Long Island. I contacted him and he informed me that they did indeed have my phone. I had sent a prepaid package to him on Tuesday and received my phone on Thursday. He had went above and beyond and reflected great credit upon himself and the organization. I can't thank him enough. read more

VERY impressed with Howl at the Moon / Splittsville. We came here for the first time to celebrate NYE and the staff, venue, food, and experience was AWESOME. Taylor and Shelly were absolutely fantastic and along with the entire staff, made sure everyone in my group had a blast. Everyone was very hospitable, helpful, and very nice. I've been to some places in Boston where they act like they are better than you and the staff all have their noses in the air. It's not like that here AT ALL. You really feel at ease and are able to have a fun and entertaining night from start to finish. The Howl band was great as well. I'd highly recommend Howl whether it's for a special event, night out on the town, or even just to hang with some friends. Great place. read more

HATM hosted us on Saturday night for a bachelorette party, and it was a great experience! I worked with Kayla in Events to plan out our evening, and she ensured I was well-informed through all steps of planning. We opted to rent out the VIP area for the evening, and paid for a 3-course buffet, and a dedicated bartender/server. The Space: The VIP area is adjacent to the stage, and provides an excellent vantage point to enjoy the show. There is ample space for 20 people to sit, and more than that could easily fit if some folks were standing. The tables were sturdy, and the chairs super comfortable. The Buffet: When you book the space, you select from different food options. We went with a 3-course buffet. - Appetizers: The salad was fine, but didn't really stand out. The balsamic and ranch dressings were very good, though. I thoroughly enjoyed the nacho bar, though some chips were a bit stale. The queso was SO GOOD. I would have loved some guacamole with the nachos. In retrospect, I should have mentioned the stale chips to our server, as I'm sure he would have brought out a fresh bowl. I was too busy having fun to remember to ask! I was honestly surprised by how much I enjoyed the sushi. I am always wary about getting it outside of a specialty restaurant, but I was not disappointed. The California roll had a dollop of something delightfully spicy on top. - Main Course: We opted for three kinds of sliders, cheeseburger, buffalo chicken, and portabela mushroom. Everyone RAVED about the sliders. We played around with the various dressings and queso to create our own personal slider masterpieces. Turns out, the queso goes great on everything! - Desserts: The presentation of the dessert tray was very nice. The brownies were DIVINE. I loved the almond cheesecake, and the raspberry, too. The cookies were crunchier than I prefer, but tasty. I think that next time I would opt for everyone who wanted desserts to order from the menu. We had a lot of leftovers simply due to peoples' varying tastes. - I felt that paying for unlimited beer and wine was the best option for our group, but if your group does not drink much, or prefers mixed drinks, I'd recommend simply opening a tab at the bar. The Service: Stephen was our dedicated server, and he was great! He checked in with me regularly, and was alongside our area all night in case we needed anything. I asked him for several things over the course of the night, and he immediately jumped into action. He even snagged some HATM coozies for our group, which was such a fun little touch! The Show: Honestly, the entertainment was worth every penny. The four musicians on stage were PHENOMENAL artists, engaging performers, and just seemed to genuinely enjoy their time onstage. We were FLOORED by some of the songs they performed. If you are a fan of live music, get thy\self to HATM pronto. Overall, we had a great time, and the bride to be felt spoiled in the best possible way. Since the event was, ultimately, all about her, that was all that really mattered. I went to HATM last night for a bachelorette party. We had reserved a private area that came with some perks: private buffet, unlimited beer & wine (also soft drinks, coffee), and a dedicated server. The cost for this was $1500.00 plus 20% tip = $1800.00. So we got there for 6:30 and our area had an nice view of the stage, so far so good. They set up our buffet and we all dug in. Here aren't Thoughts of the buffet style food: Big bowl of house salad with croutons and 2 dressing selections: the salad was far from fresh and was just your basic pre-bagged salad mix and was starting to brown. Sushi platter: For a non-Japanese restaurant the sushi was doable for sure and I enjoyed some. Make-your-own-nachos: large bowl of chips that were stale. Given 4 toppings to choose from: Pico that was really spicy, Pickled jalapeños that were really spicy, Sour cream, and Queso. So if you didn't want anything spicy, you were left with only two option: something white and creamy and something white and creamy. Slider selection (Buffalo chicken, portabello mushroom, and cheese burger): these were decent and probably the item I enjoyed most. Dessert platter: An array of chocolate chip cookies, brownies, and mini cheesecakes. The cheesecakes were ok. The cookie seemed a little stale, and I didn't have a brownie but was told by a friend it was super dry. (It had the look of a brownie bought from a supermarket bakery 3 days prior.) Disappointing desserts for the money we paid. Service: Service was decent, our server appeared to be around as much as we let him know he was needed. Major frustration: At 9pm our server informs us that its last call for our "unlimited beer/wine". 9pm? We paid for this "VIP" space and perks until midnight and at 9pm we're told our "unlimited" is...limited?? Pretty frustrated with that. The only thing that remained included/unlimited were soft drinks, coffee. It's not like we were a huge party drinking the restaurant dry - we were 9 ladies who paid $1800 for this. **EDIT: informed that it was known from the get-go that the unlimited drinks were only until 9. However, I still feel that a longer period was warranted for the cost of the VIP area. The positive? THE MUSIC WAS OUTSTANDING. I really can't get over how awesome it was. FABULOUS. Would I go back? Sure, but just at a regular patron at a regular table. A pretty good spot to go if you're not sure what you want to do on the weekend. The live show is usually pretty good and they'll cover pretty much any song you ask them to... for a tip. The drinks are pretty good, but sometimes the wait at the main bar can be pretty long. They usually have 3-4 bartenders working but it's a pretty big bar, and the other bar usually isn't open, or is reserved for private events. It's a $5 cover to get in but usually if you get there before 9 you don't have to pay it. This place can be super dead on Thursdays, just FYI but Friday and Saturday nights usually have a pretty good turnout. The dance floor is small, and there aren't a ton of tables to sit at or even high tops to stand at, but overall it's not a bad place. Definitely a good mix of younger and older, too, which is always nice to see. If you've never checked it out, you should give it a shot. read more

My cousin won a birthday party here and I took that chance to check the place out. It is a nice location and I really liked the dueling piano atmosphere and the performers were great. They really were talented and didn't feel second rate at all. The bar scene is a little rough here, the bartenders are very very busy and it was hard to get a drink if you were trying to at the bar. We reserved the VIP section here for a 30th birthday party. It was expensive, but by the end of the night, it was well worth it. This place is a lot of fun and it gets packed. With the VIP reservation, you get a buffet and a drink package. You also get a wait staff designated for you and your guests. it was a nice luxury. The food there is excellent, I would go back for a meal absolutely. The band was a great performance and they are very interactive with guests. More accurately, at least for us, the guests are allowed to be interactive with the band. By this, I mean we were on the stage dancing and singing with the band regardless of my high level of intoxication... For a special occasion, the VIP section is a lot of fun. If you plan on just going in for drinks on a weekend night, be prepared for a packed crowd. We will be going back for a meal one night I'm sure. read more

Went here because my friend won a free party. The concept is a great addition to Patriot Place but for a bowling alley there isn't enough lanes (there's under 10) and the place was PACKED. Super loud with a live band playing at night. The drinks we were offered at a party discount were not that good. I would be curious to see how the place looks during the week when it's not so crazy. Also, they do card at the door which I think you need to be 21+ after a certain time. read more

Went last night for a friends birthday that she won there. Nice concept but there's no big perk for winning. Food was ok. Pizza was so warm it burnt my mouth. The drinks were good and not too bad on price. The best part was the dueling pianos and all the different singers. They even allowed people to go on stage and dance. Don't think I would go again unless a friend stages another party there though because it was about an hour drive. read more

Went out with a group of 20 or so friends and all of us were extremely disappointed. The band was horrific. The singing was so unbearable all of us wanted to leave. It gets one star because the staff were nice and the bar atmosphere was great the music just completely ruined it. read more

Although the band and overall service at this bar is usually amazing, last time I was there, they overcharged me by over $10. Very disappointed. read more
