We went there before Monster Jam and sat upstairs in the bar area. There were 4-5 other tables around us with people who were all sitting with no food and visibly unhappy. There were no waitresses only bar staff - no one informed us if we needed to order at the bar or if there would be a waitress coming to take our order. We ended up walking up to the bar and just ordering our food where they then told us they were out of burgers, mac n cheese and pizza. Mind you this was at 5:30 PM on the night of an event - no restaurant in Patriot Place should ever be out of the basic food at dinner time on the night of an event - who runs out of burgers?! While waiting at our table for over an hour we never received any food, no update from staff on the wait, and then pretty quickly we started seeing all the tables around us start getting upset with the staff over not getting food and when it did come (for the one table), it was all cold and not cooked! Honestly, I have never been to a restuarant and seen such bad service, bad management, and lack of organization. No one there seemed to know what was happening, when or why the food wasnt coming out, no manager came up to talk to us or the other tables and apologize for the wait, or comp food. After having 1 hr 20 mins wasted of our time, with a 3 and 4 year old hungry and anxiously waiting to go into the Monster Jam event, we left. This place sucks! And I also want to note this is the first ever complaint and review i have ever made in my 41 years on this planet...it was that bad! "Oh no! What could improve?" Everything, literally everything. My group & I arrived 10 minutes early, waited. They didn't come for us for 15 minutes past our 3:30 reservation because there wasn't 2 bays next to each other for our group of 7 (we were literally sitting in front of 2 empty bays next to each other from 3:20-3:45) The food I could literally make at home in my air fryer & it would've been better. Perdue chicken nuggets in the air fryer with a side of whatever sauce you ask for & charge $12 for it. It was also really fun when they dropped off the apps with no plates or silverware, we had to ask & it was literally take out silverware. The actual throwing of the axes is fun if you want a glitchy game that's going to skip players on your team, not record points etc. Ambiance? Not it, you pay $10 a drink to sit in bright lights. Where we are sitting there's like a workshop area that looks unsafe for patrons & behind us is dents & scuffs in the wall. Also my male friends used the bathroom & lifted the seats & they were covered in feces Also OSHA would have a field day here. Where we were sitting I could reach a power drill & a torch. That's wildly unsafe & not right. If you want to throw axes go to stumpies in Fall River. 10/10 will not be back. read more

Lots of fun and laughs abound here! Everyone seemed to be having a great time. We certainly did. This is the second place I've been to with axe throwing. (Think it was good I knew what to do when I arrived.) The person who trained us was hard to hear bc it was loud in the place. And we were ok. Tip: Easy to sign up online - the only way to get a reservation. Tip: if you go during bright sunlight, as for a back lane. If it is too sunny outside it can be difficult to see the projected target on the wood. There was one waitress for all lanes - she seemed very busy. And was pleasant and we were well served. There is a projector and you can pick different games to play (tic tac toe, monopoly, whack a mole, darts, and more) If you're staying at patriots place or are near by, this is a fun activity!!! read more

To start, the prices for a miller life and seltzer should not be over $24...that's stadium prices without the stadium sized drinks. We didn't eat any food so I can't comment on that. The actual axe throwing was fun, but for anyone who's ever been somewhere else for axe throwing (we usually go to Stumpy's in Fall River and HIGHLY recommend them!) we're used to socializing with the staff who comes around and makes sure everything is going well or if someone is struggling gives them some tips. At Crazy Axes, your host gives you a quick instruction on how to use everything, and then is never to be seen again. The bar is upstairs so if you want a drink you have to go wait upstairs and waste time you could have been axe throwing. I would recommend at least on weekends to have a waitstaff who handles a few lanes for ordering drinks and food. They have a few arcade games you can pay to play, but again we're used to other axe throwing places that have free games such as lawn jenga, pucket, and others. I would only recommend going to crazy axes if you just wanted to throw axes and not care about prices of drinks or atmosphere. We made the best of it because it was my husband's birthday. read more

Wow. What a fun place. I came here with a group and had an amazing fun time. I actually want to bring my whole family here. Service was excellent. And I really enjoyed the pizza. The dough was your basic south shore bar pizza with crispy crust. But what really makes the pizza over the top are the high quality toppings. Best pepperoni and mozzarella tasting topping I've had in a while. Amazing sausage and bacon. I can't wait to try more combinations. Must try place!!!! read more

First time ax throwing and didn't have any expectations. Very pleasantly surprised to know we had a coach to not only show us how to throw but to continue interacting with us to make sure we had a successful visit. David was awesome!! Super easy going and skilled. We felt welcomed and at ease. The whole place was a vibe! Between the lively atmosphere, Jay the GM, Dave our Coach and the COO (I'm sorry but his name escapes me right now) our party ate drank and was Merry! We are planning our next trip there and bringing 3 more newbies. The lanes have electronic targets and different games that can be played and scored. Super easy to navigate even for the gen X tech challenged person I am. Dave was not only our coach but also took care of our food and drink requests. The menu is pretty extensive and I recommend the pizza. We ordered a lot of finger foods to keep it simple-they were tasty but the pizza ... gotta try the pizza! All in all whether you're looking for a fun interactive date night, a group activity for family/friends or training for the apocalypse this is a great option. Brought a group in for a networking night out. The place was empty, it was Tuesday at 5:30. The staff was unwelcoming from the start, the "guide"' was annoyed when we asked to do separate checks and made it an issue right off the bat. When we tried to order drinks- we have no wine. Ok, he acted as if we were an inconvenience by ordering drinks while we waited for 2 more people. Once we got our drinks he proceeded to very unenthusiastically give us our instructions and acted as if he had many other places to be. We started playing and a few minutes in he did ask for a food order. The food came out, sorry no cheese for the pretzels, sorry no sauce for the wings( we wouldn't have ordered these items had we known) overall good quality was poor especially at the prices. We continued to play, one of our lanes automatically started to advance thru player and assign points at random. Once we finally were able to get ahold of the "guide"' he just reset the machine offering nothing to us for having our game screwed up. Overall the place wasn't very welcoming in appearance, the staff was unfriendly and acted as if we were bothering them. I wouldn't go back again. read more

I came here with my family for the first time last night, the staff was very friendly and helpful (and very patient instructing us how to throw an axe). It was a fun experience and I could see bringing friends and coworkers here for some drinks and friendly competition. So why only 3 stars? The food was practically inedible, the only reason I had 3 slices of pizza is because I was so very hungry. The pizza was over cooked, the Hawaiian had like 4 tiny pieces of pineapple and 5 pieces of bacon and a sprinkle of Jalapeños. The pretzel bites were rock hard and the rest of the apps were awful. Just look at the picture of the pizza on their website, it is as bad as it looks. So if you want to come here I STRONGLY RECOMMEND that you eat first or plan to go out to eat after. Brian was an excellent teacher/host. He helped my mom and brother who had never thrown before but also didn't feel patronizing to my boyfriend and I who have multiple times. Went on NYE, mostly to get out of the cold. Place was mostly empty. Figured we would try a game but was told if we didn't have a reservation then we can't play. Ok fine, asked if we could play pool. Worker said we needed cash/coins for pool table. Gave her a $20 to break for change machine, she gave it back and just said "I can't break this". Okkkk. Tried to get a drink, one guy was running around, gave us a crumpled up beer menu and walked away. We just walked out. Place is poorly run. read more

Where to begin? I would have been ok with the 20 minute delay on our reservation until the rest of our experience devolved further. The ax throwing technology in our lane was on the fritz probably because the boards hadn't been changed out. We requested help once but the problems continued throughout. Hit the target? It registered as a miss. You're up to throw? The game skipped your turn. Next up was our food order. We noticed that our order had been sitting under the heat lamps near us for at least 10-15 minutes so we inquired. Indeed it was ours and take a look at the wings. You honestly can't make up how burnt and disgusting they appeared. Needless to say, we didn't stay for our entire 75 minute reservation because the game wasn't working and the food was gross. Our family of five dropped $180 on the reservation and I don't even want to know what the food bill was. The staff was young and friendly but there didn't appear to be a manager overseeing them. terrible experience! I was in this past Saturday with 4 people. We had a late reservation. The staff spent 5 minutes with us and then just left us. They came back once to yell because we were too close to a thrower. It was difficult to get drink service and then they called last call at the bar upstairs, but didn't let anyone in the cages know. The electonic equipment was terrible. the keyboards didn't work, so they couldn't put names in. and we had to manually score everything. lastly, when we were ending, the staff was standing 10 feet from the exit with their jackets on to go home. horrible experience and horribly run! will never be back! go somewhere else to have a good time read more
