Went here after a NE Revolution game. The first hint we had that the place would be bad was the ac didn't appear to be working on a 90 degree day, very hot inside with the doors to the place propped open. Waitress was ok but a little slow,I think she was tending too many tables. Ordered a non-alcohol cocktail, this one is on me, I never find them to be very good. This was overly sweet fruit punch. Had to pay $10 for chips and salsa, the salsa was good but the chips were mostly broken pieces. I asked for a replacement bowl and was charged another $8. Ordered a Diablo Chimichanga, I was warned that it was very spicy. The chimichanga I got was inedible. First it had a doughy coating not a crispy shell, second the spices overpowered everything. I couldn't taste the meat or cheese or anything else. Just awful and I usually like spicy food. Will not be returning here. read more

Scorpion Bar at Patriot Place was a great spot, but we did arrive at 3pm on a Saturday when it was still generally dead inside. We sat at the bar. The taquitos were absolutely amazing, definitely the highlight of the food for me. Drinks are mixed strong, and the bartender was friendly and attentive. I ordered the chicken tacos while my fiancé went with the carne asada, and I have to admit I wish I chose the carne asada too. The chicken tacos were a little too wet, which made the tortillas soggy quickly, and the flavor was on the basic side. Still, everything else was solid, and with how good the taquitos and drinks were, I'd definitely come back again to try something else! read more

Food/Drinks: I stopped by for drinks and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered my go-to, a classic margarita, and it was both delicious and quite strong. The pricing was on the higher side, but that's expected at a venue inside Foxwoods Casino, so it wasn't a shock. Location: The bar is located inside the casino and makes for a convenient spot to grab a drink. I visited at night when it had more of a nightclub vibe. The music was decent, and overall it was entertaining, though the crowd was smaller than expected. We ended up checking out a few other spots afterward, it's definitely one of those places where you grab a drink and move on to the next. Stopped in Scorpion Bar for dinner on a Tuesday evening. The restaurant was empty, as expected. It was an extremely cold night. There were quite a few of the workers gathered at the end of the bar when I sat down. Eventually one of the bartenders came down to take my order. I grabbed a margarita and the mixed fajitas. The margarita tasted like it had a pre-made sugary mix. Couldn't finish it. The fajitas were okay. I wouldn't get the shrimp again. They were small and overcooked. Very cool place with reasonable prices for the amount of food you get. The place has a bunch of tvs with one HUGE screen in the main pit of the restaurant. The seating with tables, wood furniture, leather booths, and decorations make this place stick out among the rest. We got a watermelon margarita and bud light to start off. Then split the carne asada loco nachos and a taco salad. Also got a side of guac. Everything was delicious but I couldn't eat much because it sat SOOO heavy on my stomach. I honestly felt sick after but it was so good. The service was quick for a Thursday night, only two or three groups sitting down to eat and a couple guys at the bar watching the game. Had a great experience a few weeks ago. Had a friend visiting so was excited to bring him. It was configured to club mode, which was Ok, but the music was consistently at 100 decibels. The tequila was way too heavily poured in the espresso cocktail making it undrinkable. Salsa and chips came out with no napkins or plates, which is messy given the way the salsa was watery, even though they were delicious. Food came out staggered for each of us. Two of the plates were lukewarm, I had ordered an enchilada. I ate mine, but my friend sent his back. We were not charged for his food, but no manager came out to follow up. Eating at Gillette is something of a captive audience situation, akin to being trapped in an airport and making do with overpriced, scanty offerings. Your options are either: 1) eating at home before undertaking the trek to the stadium; 2) buying something deep fried from the concessions stands; or 3) trying to find something relatively reasonably-priced in the complex of restaurants and shops known as Patriot Place. If you're aiming for #3, well, good luck. The only place that seemed familiar was Five Guys but inside was a mob scene. We ended up choosing between the pizza place and Scorpion but wound up going with Scorpion since a table opened up there first. Let's say the atmosphere at Scorpion is not my cup of tea, because I dislike any ambiance that involves loud, pulsating club music where you have to yell to hear each other. And I have very sensitive hearing. I went with the Scorpion Caesar with chicken because I'm boring and that's the dish I automatically gravitate to in moments of dining indecision. The salad was fine, perhaps heavy-handed with the dressing, and the chicken had a nice grilled flavor, though very small in portion size. It took a while for our drinks and food to come out, but that's to be expected on "Event Day." Our waitress was very nice, despite the bum rush before kick-off started, and apologized for the delay. We've visited 3 times in the last 2 months and each time had good service. The drinks (Mexican Mai Tai, Scorpion Mojito, and Prickly Pear Mule) were all well made and tasty. The margaritas themselves were okay, very watered down for $14/$15. We ordered spicy red chili crispy cauliflower and taquitos - both were drenched in a lot of oil and a lot of sauce. The red chili in cauliflower was nowhere to be found and also sour cream sauce was a bit much. I wish the sauce was served on the side instead. I stopped by this place for some takeout.! I almost wanted to stay given the cool vibes - big TVs, expansive bar, festive atmosphere. But alas, I needed to grab and go. Maybe next time. The food was good but not great. I tried the beef empanadas and, while it was solid, the truth be told I recently had a better one from my freezer that I bought from a local grocery store. Enough said. I also had the grilled chicken wings. Albeit overpriced for only 8 pieces ($21), they were pretty good. The sweet chipotle sauce could be reformulated a bit, but the texture and grilled quality of the wings were superb. Lastly, I ordered a chicken rice bowl. It was very fresh with ample sweet onions, peppers, avocados and sliced chicken breast. I appreciated the black beans being on the side so I could add the amount I desired. Pretty cool place located inside Patriots Place. Beautifully decorated and very clean. Staffs are nice and friendly and very attentive. Decent size food menu with a good variety of starters, sharable party taco platters and burritos and also dinner options like carne asada with beans and rice. They have a very fun drink menu like sangria served inside a glass skull and pick your own poison magarita towers served inside little glass patrons. Not a bad option if you are in the area especially during game days or concert events. As they also have live entertainment at night. I visited Scorpion Bar on a weekday, so it wasn't too busy, and the staff was attentive. Our waitress was very nice and provided honest suggestions. I ordered a Dragonberry Mojito - really good, not too strong, paired well with my tacos. The tacos were okay - I ordered the five spice pork belly, baja fish, and al pastor. Al pastor tasted a bit dry. I liked the other two. We also had chips and guac as an appetizer. Wasn't the best, and the chips were multicultured but tasted slightly burnt. I think Scorpion Bar is conveniently located for quick drinks and vibes, but not for an actual sit-down dinner. So I'd only go back for drinks. read more

The worst dining experience I have ever had in my 31 years of life. When i arrived it took our server forever to get water and I was so thirsty. I asked a second waiter and finally had to get it for myself at the bar!!! I had seen the two waiters that i asked go in and out the kitchen and around to other tables all while I was without water. We ordered nachos and they came out cold. I told the waiter he said "well the kitchen is busy" and did not offer to make the situation right or even bother to clear the dirty appetizer plates. Finally, after 30 minutes of waiting for our waiter to return, my friends and I ordered entrees, i ordered a salad (seems easy to make) and my friends ordered churros and told the waiter that was their meal. NOTE: the tray of cold Nachos and our dirty appetizer plates remained on the table and the staff did not clear them!!!! My salad came out and the churros did not. My friends just awkwardly sat there waiting and staring at the dirty appetizer dishes in front of them. The waiter NEVER came back to ask if the salad was ok (it was not, it had no dressing and chicken was burnt) or apologize for not bringing my friends their meal. We continued to sit there for another 20 minutes and I finally had enough. I flagged the waiter down and I told the waiter I was sending the salad back because it had no dressing, and they mine as well cancel the churros my friends ordered. The waiter had NO remorse and again hit us with an excuse of the kitchen being busy, he never apologized for not bringing out my friends food. Finally, the manager came out which i thought was to apologize but instead, she put the check on the table right next to the dirty apetizer plates! **see photo!** A manager should know better than to leave dirty dishes on the table, there's no excuse! Not one waiter ever took the dirty plates away when they visited our table, we were served by 3 people and they stopped by 5 times, NOT ONE took away the dirty dishes or apologized for the bad food and service. Had dinner on a Thursday early evening with five friends. First time at Scorpion Bar for all of us. Our server Kelly was very friendly and funny. The restaurant is dark and interesting, it looks like the center area is used as a dance floor based on the open space and lighting. We started with cocktails: Cadillac and Classica margaritas, sangria and Mexican Mule. All were good, but pricey (avg $15) which is expected for a touristy sports venue location. Ordered chips with salsa ($8) and chips with guacamole ($16). The chips were warm and tasty. One small bowl of salsa was served, so we passed it back and forth to share between 6 people. The guacamole tasted fizzy and fermented, almost rancid. Kelly brought us a new order of guacamole and said it's from a fresh container. This surprised us as the guacamole cost $16 and we expected it would have been made to order like many other Mexican restaurants offer. The second order was also rancid and the manager politely removed it and deducted it from our check. Dinner included chicken fajitas ($20), steak enchiladas ($24), pork enchiladas ($18) and chicken protein bowl ($20). The fajitas and protein bowl were good, but the enchiladas were very salty. The black beans served with fajitas were good but the pintos and Spanish rice served with the enchiladas were bland. We would have typically seasoned both the bland beans and rice with salsa but the one bowl that was served earlier was empty. Overall we're glad we went to Scorpion Bar, but we'll stick to our favorite Mexican restaurant "Sol de Mexico"which offers table side prepared guacamole and a reasonably priced menu. read more

We stopped in here just before 9pm one night not realizing the place turns into a night club at a certain time. We were confused but the staff was so nice and gave us the rundown on how it works here. U can't order food after 9 (I was bummed but the menus looked amazing) The drinks are pricey but very good. There was a bachelorette party the night we were here and it turned into a super fun time for those woman. The dj was great, lots of floor space to dance. The atmosphere and decor here is amazing! Bathrooms were big and very clean. All the girls who worked that night were just so sweet and friendly, I was shocked by their uniforms at first but realized at the time of the night it was a nightclub and not a restaurant. Our name was called and as we walked to the hostess stand, we noticed two tables open. We did not feel comfortable at the table and asked to be seated at the other open table (further in the restaurant and away from the door). When I asked the hostess to be moved, she said in a very rude way that only the manager can make that change. I asked for the manager. When the manager arrived, Mark, he was more rude and condescending than the hostess. Mark said there was assigning seating and he couldn't change any seating arrangements. I told him that was ridiculous because no one was seated there as of yet. Mark continued with the fact that there was assigning seating and I could either sit in my seat or leave. I told Mark that I would not be talked to like a child and Mark escalated from there. He became very mad and began raising his voice and yelling. Mark then grabbed my right upper arm. Post Xmas LIght Show dinner & the sadness of it all. I thought me and the SO would grab a bite after the drive through light thing...and I saw the $25 all you can eat taco tuesday thing so we made a reservation. Upon arrival we entered the space to find about 10 customers in a room that seats a few hundred...kinda empty feeling, so we decided to eat at the bar. The drinks were on the small side ($13.00 for a rocks glass of margarita?) and despite my best effort to get a bit tipsy, after 4 of them, all I had was acid stomach from the sour mix. Onto the tacos...so first let me tell you that the way they serve them all you can eat is the first round you can pick 3, then 2nd round pick 2, after that you can only order one at a time (per person). The first round came out on plates that were wet with something...maybe the cook didn't drain the slaw or salsa but the taco shells were sogging out. All 3 were tasty but messy as heck. The next round came out on smaller, much drier plates and were also very good but nothing to write home to mom about...the fish tacos were the best by far IMHO. SO got churros at the end and they were kinda dry and crispy, like they were baked in a turbochef for too long instead of being squeezed into a frier (so right out of the sysco box). For a party of five people who arrived prior to the diner rush, diner took aver 2.5 hours due to inattentive staff and a super slow kitchen. Appetizers arrived after entrées, even though they were order 40min apart. Food was bland and certainly microwaved. The final insult was the cost of $360, which the meal consisted of one nacho chip appetizer, 8 chicken wings, three 4-inch burritos, one cheese quesadilla , one rice bowl, four mixed drinks and 5 shirley temples. We arrived around 730 for dinner on a Friday, and planned on spending a few hours there, including time with DJ Creamer (yup...real name). We were told by our waiter that they had a deal where if you bought a gift card, you would get one at equal value to use on your next visit. When we heard that deal, we decided to have a few more tasty beverages. When we got our check, we told the waiter to make that dream happen. At 1007, the manager came over and told us that the deal ended at 1000. That they shift from a restaurant to a bar, and that deal only applies to the restaurant. But that we were more than able to come back in on cyber Monday, and they would honor the deal. So now, our $300 tab was not only not "eligible" for the equal, free gift card, but the manager who came to explain the "misunderstanding" wanted us to come back in and spend more money to get a gift card that was already not honored. I explained to him our side, saying we were not told that it ended at 10, and would have had no problem paying our bill just 8 minutes earlier for a free $300. He said "he'd make a call". You're a manager. Manage. Anyway, the waiter came back, apologized profusely, and said the manager called the GM and that it would be honored. The manager never came back to say anything to us. Super not the way to manage, lead, or give any customer service whatsoever. I'm glad that we received our gift card, as I certainly would not have come back. Buy now I'll be back once more. And since you invited me to review, attached is a picture of the guys bathroom. "Hocked" is a lovely "loogie" and some local art, which was dried and probably has been there for a week or two. We came here before a Revs game and we were really pleased with our food. The portions were good- it huge but not tiny either. My boys has the chicken fingers + fries and they were good, nice and crispy and good flavor. I had 3 tacos- bbq, Al pastor, and baja. All there were good but I especially loved the Al pastor and Baja! Definitely recommend. Chips, Guac, and salsa were also great! Service was pretty good as well. We stopped by the scorpion bar at patriot Place while we were visiting Foxborough Massachusetts and checking out the sceneries in the sites. What drew my attention to this place with a giant scorpion desert in Mural that is paint on the outside which I thought was really cool I need to see. So we went into the establishment and it blew my mind how cool yeah scenery was with all the decorations and the lights and different things so I really enjoyed that as we sat down to eat on myself got a Quesadilla which I thought was really good and we also got nachos which I must say were excellent as well there's a really cool place and I recommend it read more
