My first time here. My favorite mail salon was closed so I came here and I'm glad they were open. As soon as I came in, they had me enter my information on an iPad for rewards. After informing the nail technician that I wanted a gel manicure and regular pedicure, I was told to pick the color for my toes. I decided to get a spa pedicure and it was great. However, my gel manicure experience was horrible. The manicurist chipped my nail while filing and didn't take the time or think to fill it in with acrylic powder. She polished it without paying detailed attention to to the chip. She said the polish will fill it in and when she completed applying the gel polish, my chipped nail was still quite noticeable. Before I paid, I asked the lady in charge to look at my chipped nail and to correct it. She did a bit of a better job, however it was not totally to my liking. I spent about 2 hours there and I just wanted to go home. I paid, gave the lady that did my spa pedi a tip and left. Never to come back again. When I got home, I did some filing to make my nails look better. A week latter, gel started coming off off two nails. One of which was the nail that the manicurist chipped. Before August I would have given them 5 stars. I had been going there for over a year. I went to the same tech and she was absolutely amazing. On 8/8/23 I requested an appointment for 8/11/23. It was confirmed and then shortly after cancelled claiming the tech I requested was completely booked. I asked for another tech and they told me that they were too completely booked. On 8/13/23 I requested an appointment for 9/2/23. No one ever responded. I reached out on 8/18/23 to ask why no one had responded. They said they were completely booked. I told them I had been going there for so long and hadn't had any of these issues before. Never coming back here again. My tech didn't know what she was doing and kept getting instructions from the main lady or owner?? And she would turn to her coworker and start asking for more directions in Spanish, assuming I didn't understand her. She also made 3 fingers bleed bc she was supposed to get out by 4PM and the owner kept asking her to stay past her shift. She took it out on me by rushing until I was plainly upset and the head tech/owner took over. I asked if I could wash the blood off my hands before she continued and she said no?? I asked again and let to wash my hands as I didn't want an infection. At this point, 4/5 fingers were already bleeding and one finger had blood TRAPPED AND SHOWING in the clear acrylic and I was physically repulsed while the tech acted like she don't see my fingers bleeding. She was better than the first tech and only made one additional finger bleed bringing it to a total of 5/10 fingers. And then she charged me $80. I paid, left a $20 tip against my better judgment and headed home with my still bleeding fingers. It later occurred to me to write a review and take photos so here I am. Don't go here. Every time i come here i leave disappointed and with ugly nails. Will not be returning. Pedicures are also subpar and i got cut multiple times and my pedicure chipped 2 days later. This was the straw that broke the camel's back...I had scheduled an appointment for a soak off, acrylic full set with design and also reiterated that in my text confirmation. When i get to my appointment Valeria had begun to soak off my nails and then applying the tips, applying the acrylic powder (i brought my own acrylic powder) and shaping my nails. During this process, the nail salon owner, Jenny starts telling her to hurry up and began to ask her why was she taking so long to do my nails and telling her that she wasn't supposed to soak off my nails. I told Valeria that i had put in my appointment request that i wanted a soak off with an acrylic full set with design so that she is given enough time. To make a long story short...Jenny ended up coming over and ended up doing my nails because she wanted Valeria to work on her next client since she was waiting. I didn't get the design i wanted because i was already being rushed outta there so i just told her to do a plain white French. The technique she did to do my French was so sloppy and outdated...i haven't seen anyone use this technique since the early 2000s. Jenny sloppily applied the white nail polish on my nails and then dipped another brush in nail polish remover in the shape of a U to remove the excess polish. She was rushing my nails so she can get back to her client. I left there so disappointed and upset with my nails (i even gave Jenny a tip even tho she did a terrible job with my nails). I hated my nails so much i went to another nail salon up the street to have someone else fix my manicure. Even the other professionals at the other salon said how bad my nails were. Please save your money and time and go elsewhere. I say usually always because I ask for a more intricate style 9/10 times and nail tech may need help with the designs so Jenny usually makes sure it's perfect at the very end, and she *nails* it every time. Not following any covid protocols. Made an appointment, waited 45 min to start my nails. Everyone was on top of everyone. My nail tech did not know what she was doing and then I got bounced between my tech and another woman. My pedicure looked like a toddler did it and my nails are bulky, crooked, and not what I asked for. I also witnessed them using the same nail tools on multiple clients and only using water to "clean" in between. They also don't wash their hands with soap, only water. Disgusting, a health hazard, poorly managed, and overpriced for the shoty work preformed. read more

I went there to get Gel X nails and I was extremely disappointed. The nail technician didn't do a good job at all. She was very rough and the nails came out horrible. I got them done on a Wednesday and had to get them removed on Sunday because they were already starting to pop off of my nails. The salon was very busy and they switched my nail technician which I had booked online because a client came into the salon after me and wanted the technician that I had already booked-so very unprofessional. I never write reviews and honestly I should have don't my own nails because they come out way better -.- I spent over 4 hours in the salon! My toes are great no complaints but my nails I've never been so embarrassed by my nails and I just want to hide my fingers. She made them way to thick to begin with and I ask for them to be thinned down and still they were to thick after doing over 4 coats of dip powder, after getting them thinned down to a thickness I was happy with all my cuticles are cut up and my fingers hurt . The ombré effect doesn't even look natural which is what I wanted and half the nails don't even look like an almond they look like they have chunks missing out of the sides never coming back and going to come back to see if I can get my money back this is terrible. I experienced terrible service- won't go back. I made an appointment online and called about it, but when I arrived they didn't have me schedule. I came back later and still had to wait. They were super busy at the time and two people kept switching off working on my nails. They were trying to work on at least 4 people at once. They kept getting up without warning and wouldn't return for a few minutes. Me and the girl next to me were left alone for probably 20 minutes. Also, the guy doing my nails was buffing the acrylics, finished one hand and left. The woman who came next didn't do my other hand. I tried to explain to her that he only did one hand, and she said no this hand doesn't need it ... Now my nails are visibly uneven. I didn't know I had to ask for a manicure with an acrylic full set? They didn't file my nails or clean up my cuticles at all. Then later, one woman working on my nails said one acrylic tip might fall off because my natural nail was too long. If they clipped them in the first place this wouldn't have happened! They said they'd fix it for free if it falls off. I told the I'm leaving for vacation and they gave me nail glue for free. My nails look nice but there's so many other nail salons in the area and HQ is more expensive. They're not that friendly either. No reason to go back. read more

I made an online appointment which I really like. It was easy to confirm. I sent in a photo of the design I wanted and they got it. The girl at the front was very nice. Although the nail tech did arrive late, she did an amazing job at my nails. She took her time and made sure they look perfect. My family and I went in for an appointment today. Customer service was okay, they were more catering towards the walk-ins. As a was doing my nails the lady Jenny cut my through and it started to bleed. I don't think she meant to but I've never had such a bad experience with her. I am very disapointed with my experience today. I made an appointment online for a UV gel full set removal and regular manicure. Once I arrived the owner, Jenny, told me that my nails would not be able to be soaked off, but cut off. She then proceeded to use un-sterilized cuticle clippers to cut off my nails. In addition, she used a fake nail tip to dig under my nails to remove the UV gel. I could have done this at home, but chose to go to a salon to get them properly removed. This process was extremely painful. Four of my nails had damage due to this removal process with one resulting in bleeding. I will say that my manicure technician did her best to glue down pieces of my nail that were lifted due to the UV gel removal. I will not be returning to this salon and would not recommend any nail removal services here. read more

0 stars- I was in New Jersey from out of town and desperately needed a manicure. I saw mostly great yelp reviews for this salon, so I decided to try it. I got the SNS done, which normally lasts me 2-3 weeks. Two days later my nail tips (all of them) started chipping. Then day three large pieces pulled off my nails until I had no more sns left. I called my mother, and hers had started doing the same thing. I politely called and asked for a refund, since we do not live in or around NJ & now have to get them done again. I have never had such a terrible experience at a nail salon. I am in search for ones nail salon and I thought I'd give this salon a try by recommendation of a friend. I didn't have an appointment since they accept walk-in customers. They weren't too busy when I arrived. I came in with a gel manicure and I wanted a new one. They put the acetone on my nails to soak off the polish and said they'd be right back. An hour later, when my fingers started to burn they finally came back. I had even inquired if they had forgotten about me. The lady came back and took off the foil and acetone cotton balls, chipped off the polish which mostly fell off on its own because it was on so long and then left again. After about another 15-20 minutes, another woman finally came over and had me move to her chair. I told her I wanted my nails short since I have a child, she did what she wants. I asked her to cut shorter and she only did a couple other nails. I had picked out this beautiful blueish grey color when I had walked in and I had her use that shade for my manicure. After it was dried it looked like an electric blue color! Nothing like the sample that they provide on the nail samples. As I was sitting there, I noticed that they don't use name brand polishes. Instead, they use cheap knock off polishes that I've never seen in a salon before. So I blamed that for the color difference. I didn't have time to wait to have them change it since I was going on 2 hours of being there. I also didn't notice while sitting there, but 3-4 nails are either crooked or jagged. Now fast forward 2 days while keeping in mind that a gel manicure is supposed to last 2 weeks. I look down at my nails and almost all of them on my right hand have chipped! I hadn't done anything to really crack them. I did some light housekeeping and bathing my child. Today, which is just over a week later my nails are almost all chipped off and longer than I would have wished. I credit this to the cheap product that they use here. I saw that the other woman next to me was getting a beautiful design done on her nails. I see that they do a great job from that aspect, but I would NOT recommend a getting gel manicure from this place. read more

One of the best pedicures I've ever received. Manicures are great too, my cuticles always need extra attention and they take their time on them. I asked for a party nail and they didn't charge extra! (Just a different color polish) Since they opened, I haven't been anywhere else! I will definitely continue to recommend this place to all my friends and family! Update 7/2018: My review above stays true for only a few things, but unfortunately, HQ nails has really changed my feelings... my last few visits have been less than mediocre. the owner is extremely friendly, but the rest of the staff has not been... Two things that really turned me off. I had asked to do my manicure before my pedicure, they were extremely rude and made it seem like I ruined their day by my request - which I don't believe was anything crazy. I always get a regular manicure, but the last time I was in they must have asked me 5 times if I was sure I didn't want a gel manicure... and when I finally made it clear that I did NOT want a gel manicure, just a regular manicure - her entire demeanor changed. She was no longer friendly and rushed my service. This place had pretty good ratings so I came for the first time last month. They did a decent job, I paid, left and decided to come back again just to have the gels removed. Made an appointment online, then asked to move it an hour earlier. They said sure no problem. I walked in and waited 15 minutes after telling them I had an appointment. When I was finally seated, one of the nail techs put acetone on my fingers with the foil, didn't say a word, and moved to another station. It took between 20-25 minutes for someone to come back over to me. When someone finally did, a new tech, she scraped the gels off, filed them, then told me I needed to pay before she put clear coat on. I wasn't asked to pay in the middle of my manicure last time and no one around me was asked to pay until they finished. I paid, she came back and put clear coat on, but never brushed off the nail dust from the file at all. Told me to go to the dryer, so I sat there seething for a minute with nail dust all over my hands. Left immediately. Never again. A full hour to scrape off gel, file and put one coat of clear on. read more

If I could give this place zero stars that would be ideal. What my nails look like are NOT what I wanted at all. This was my first time at this salon and my last. What I was going to write is too long so here's what you need to know. - My nail tech was on her phone during my manicure with the headphones plugged into her phone under the table. - She did not listen to what I wanted and instead did the opposite. I even specified when I made the appointment that I wanted my nails long AND wanted 3 extensions on my short nails so they're all the same length. Now, they're way too short. Please see the picture. - She cut my cuticles with such aggression you can actually see that she cut into them unnecessarily and are chunks removed around my middle finger and thumb. My cuticles were in great condition. - She used the nail file and filed too close to my cuticles and cut them repeatedly. - With the electric nail drill she repeatedly missed my nails and hitting even around my finger - My SNS is still lumpy - No hot towel, a 2 second hand massage that was the equivalent of putting lotion on your hands yourself. Im not sure what she was trying to do but after she decided to take the cotton ball WITH RUBBING ALCOHOL wipe down my fingers causing the new cuts to burn, wiped down in-between my fingers and palms of my hands. I have never seen a tech wipe someone's hands with rubbing alcohol. - She knew she was hurting me when 3 times she said "you ok?" It took an hour and 20 minutes for me to JUST get a SNS manicure. I'm infuriated. Oh and yes I did tell her why did you cut my nails short I did not want them like this. Charged me $40.00 on the ticket when the posted price was $35.00. When I went I pay the cashier gave me $2.00 not sure if the tech overcharged me or this was not the experience I was looking forward to!
