My first impression was that the environment was more upscale than their competitor. I had called last minute and was pleased to find that they were able to accommodate me, WITHOUT feeling like a pain, at the very end of the day! The receptionist was super nice. I've been getting brazilian bikini waxs' regularly for about 2 years and I have to point out that this was the most comfortable wax, EVER. I had absolutley no irritation the next day. Which is awesome. The wax technician took her time, whereas Im used to being rushed in and out. The salon is impeccably clean. Like, i'm talking CLEAN, SPOTLESS. The tables are covered in disposable cloth which is nice because I didn't feel like I was at the gynecologist sitting on a piece of paper. The employees are shockingly professional. I didn't realize how unprofessional others are until I visited Waxing the City at the Rockaway location. They offer monthly memberships for those who cant afford to pay upfront for 9 million waxing .. aka me :).. I went to the Rockaway location to get my waxing done. Everyone there are very nice & professional. I was waxed by Veronica De La Cruz, who let me tell you did an AMAZING job! She was very professional with the techniques, explained everything prior & after advised on what products to use on the areas to avoid ingrown etc. I went for a Brazilian, legs, under arm, stomach & facial wax. Granted some areas will always be uncomfortable depending your pain tolerance. The technics at this location & her professionalism was incredible. I barley had pain during the waxing or felt uncomfortable after. She was very patient & gentle with me. Totally recommend this location & trying Veronica De La Cruz. I have been getting waxed for many years by the same person, I am loyal that way, but needed to make a change for a number of reasons. I saw this new place when I was shopping one day and gave it a try today. Well, the experience was great, Meg, the owner, was awesome has been in the business for many years and is very professional and delivers a painless experience. Veronica is my go to!!! I've been going to Veronica for my eyebrows for about eight months now and I swear I will never trust anybody else with them again. My eyebrows are definitely not easy to work with, they are light in a lot of spots, and I don't have the best shape. But every time I come out of the salon I feel so much more confident in myself just because of how my eyebrows look. Veronica's attention to detail is incredible. Had my first experience at Waxing the City in Rockaway this past Saturday and I loved it!! I had to bring my infant daughter with me to my eyebrow shaping appointment and everyone was great with her. Unfortunately due to Covid, Waxing the City was closed for a few months. As soon as I heard that they were reopening, I rushed to make an appointment.
