Let me start off by saying that this is a very high-end salon. If you want your hair to feel healthy and look amazing, you have to be willing to pay that price. BUT, in my opinion, it is definitely worth it to NOT cut corners when it comes to your hair. I have been to HQ a few different times to see the INCREDIBLY talented Michelle Wong. Let me tell you, she knows what she is doing! She takes time to listen to what you are wanting and if it's not possible in that first session, she informs you on how to build up to your dream hair (typically for those of us wanting to go very blonde). My first visit with her, I wanted to go blonder! This wasn't totally impractical as I have been lifting my hair gradually over the years, but when I went to Michelle, she gave me EXACTLY what I was wanting without compromising the health of my hair! Before, my hair was pretty dull and flat. But after, Michelle had totally transformed it adding so much more dimension to it(see photos)! My most recent visit, about a week ago, I decided to get a haircut and a toning session just to brighten up the blonde and freshen up my ends, even just those minImal services really revamped my hair and made me feel like a brand new woman! The service was horrible. The hair salon did not know what products made your hair straight or curly. She left my hair wer to help another salon hair stylist to curl another client's hair. As i sat there , my hair dried, her blow dryer stopped working. I just paid and left with hard dried hair. She asked me to bring the hair pins back the following day. She only recognized mr by my Designer Purse . More than one stylist sked how much of the cost of mu purse, then began talking in spanish. The key" i understand spanish" No, I"m not spanish or of Hispanic background. I had to sit in her chair and listen to how her car turned over in the night when she left a friends party. She said she had alcohol , but she left the car:Her father bought her another car the next week. I did not want to hear about her personal life. I had the pleasure of snagging a spot with Eva today because she had a cancelation. I went in with very dark hair and came out with the most beautiful balayage. I have never done balayage before (I'm a student so I hardly have time or money to invest in my hair to begin with) so I had no idea what I was doing; she was patient, kind, and honest. Went in for my first time and had a lot of confidence. First of I'm a male and the nice lady didn't seem to know any of the requests for the styles I wanted. (I came in with a few in hand.) so after spending a good while looking up what style I wanted and agreeing on a solution she got to work. First off my hair didn't come out anything like the photo which is fine maybe it's just my head, but she could always just recommend a different style, I went with the one she felt comfortable doing. I was pretty disappointed with my haircut. I'm okay with paying an expensive haircut if it comes out well, this one was only 25$ which was very unexpected. The lady was very kind and very patient, I think she just maybe wasn't experience working with the kind of styles I wanted, which for reference was a fringe or just a longer on top shorter on sides style for simplicity. All the ladies I was in with got wonderful cuts and styles and seemed to be happy frequent customers. If I had to guess I just had a bad experience but unfortunately I've spent the last two weeks getting laughed at directly for my haircut by my friends. I even had a pretty lady at a golf course say "what happened? Your hair used to look great they butchered you!" Doesn't leave you much confidence for your next visit. Toni Pham did such an amazing job on revamping my hair color. I've gone to a couple of other salons in Denver to lighten my extremely dark brown hair and I haven't been too pleased. Thank goodness I found HQ Salon!! I asked for a medium balayage look that will keep the roots dark so that I don't have to worry about frequent upkeep. I love how Toni blended the colors really well and didn't leave my hair color looking choppy. The highlights brought more dimension to my hair especially when it is wavy/curled! First I'd like to say Melissa Guerrero is nothing short of amazing! This salon has exceeded all of my expectations. So clean, absolutely beautiful. Scheduling has been easy and everything ON TIME. I was always double booked with another client at my last salon, I couldn't take it anymore. I saw Melissa back in August for color correction after 3-4 years of being every color possible (another stylist), going platinum then adding dark back in as I had a ton of breakage. She did a correction to even it out then this latest appointment transformed my hair to a beautiful rooted dark ash blonde. I am obsessed! I've been going to HQ on and off for about 5 years. I live in the mountains so I go as my schedule allows for a full day off for hair lol. With that said this time around I went with a good 4 inches of roots and my hair is naturally very dark with the remainder of my hair as light as it gets so it was a complicated case to take on to begin with. I saw Jenny Chu for the first time (all the girls are good) but honestly I was particularly impressed with Jenny. She was the first stylist in years to offer me a proper hair cut, and I've always needed one but each time I was scheduled in the past the stylist was double booked and so extra services were kind of out of the question. I mentioned this to Jenny and she immediately said that she prefers to spend quality time and get me where I want to be (within reason) rather than double book herself and only satisfy two clients partially. It felt weird to be pampered and checked on so often I had honestly forgotten what it felt like. My goal was full blonde from root to tip and I didn't have high hopes because I know my hair is stubborn, so when she revealed my hair to me I gasped and literally I got tears in my eyes. I was so thankful for spending the time with me, pushing my hair as much as it could take but not compromising its integrity. All the girls at HQ are great and I have nothing bad to say about any of them, I just really really really liked Jenny and how she treated me. I've come to this salon to cut my hair a few times before with Toni Pham, and I finally decided to dye my hair this time. She let me know that I wouldn't be able to get it to the exact color I wanted because my hair was very dark, but she would do her best to get as close in this session. I couldn't be more happier with the results! I wanted my hair to have a mixture of an ash grey with blonde, and it's exactly how I had hoped it would look like. To repute the reply from HQ salon I had very faded micro blading color from 8 years ago, I asked both technicians if they could do the hombre brows on me and both said yes that I was doable. The technician did tell me that due to the old color that there may be spots that would not be covered since the shaping was going to be different. I saw that it was very unnoticeable and went ahead with the process. My eyebrows look like they are tattooed one color nowhere near hombre. Even if what you are saying is the cause it would still be lighter in areas and it is NOT at all. Buyer beware. read more

Great experience! The salon is small and personal. There's no parking so I parked in the neighborhood right behind the salon. My hair was super long and I really wanted a color update and a haircut. I was scheduled with Melissa who did a great job! Photo is posted. I decided to do balayage on my dark hair and it turned out very well blended! The appointment ran pretty late, but I have had a salon turn me away when they thought my hair was going to take too long and they wouldn't be able to close on time, so I came to the appointment for nothing. HQ stayed open until she was done with my hair, and I didn't feel like Melissa was rushing through it to get out of there. The price was $140 for balayage plus a haircut.
