I spent $2,200 yes, I actually spent $2,200 on having several services done. The most expensive service was Great Lengths extensions. I have had over 35 extensions come out since I had them put in. 35! In just two 2 months! In the past I've gone 6 months with only losing one. (they weren't put in by the owner) I've left multiple messages and the owner will not call me back or text me back. It's outrageous that after spending that kind of money she doesn't have the courtesy to get back in touch with me. And it shouldn't matter how much money you spend you're paying for a service and if it's unsatisfactory they should try to make it right. Horrible customer service. I was a bit concerned as I haven't felt comfortable going to a salon during the Covid and this was my first trip to Lavish beauty salon. My concerns were totally squelched when I walked in the door. What a immaculate, gorgeous salon! Every spot was disinfected constantly. I was kept a social distance away from everyone else and the young lady who did my hair did such an amazing job! Was literally chased in the parking lot by out of control barefoot manager (co-owner?) Lien who verbally attacked me after I came in and calmly asked for a refund. I am still in shock from the experience. I recorded most of it as I thought she was going to physically assault me. She was still up close screaming at me recording me with her phone when I was inside my car trying to pull out. I had been a client here for 7 years. This appointment, I'd asked for subtle highlights as my Birthday was coming up and I thought it would be a nice treat for myself. I was scheduled with Amber. I told her I wanted subtle highlights. In the salon it looked fine when done but when I got him I discovered a huge stripe across my forehead when I pulled my hair back. I later learned it is called a "bleach bleed." I also had a large spot on the crown of my head and the highlights were stripey, not subtle. (See photos) I came back for a correction and tried reaching a manager beforehand but was assured by Amber someone would be there to oversee the fix. She added lowlights and I ended up with dark chunky stripes around my face. Ruth, the other stylist there, put highlights back in to make them look better but the dark streaks were still prevalent. Amber had to repaint the bleach bleed area a second time. After about three hours, I decided to leave with wet hair and review it at home after I had a chance to eat and drink (have to still wear masks). After drying it, I still hated it. I called and asked if it could be toned. Ruth answered and told me a manager would be calling me to see if she could fit in a toner appointment sometime today. I didn't find that acceptable so after waiting a while and not getting a call, I drove over and asked to speak to Lien. She asked if we could talk outside saying she didn't like wearing masks. Once outside, she asked me what happened. I explained and showed her photos. She was negating me and saying it was "neutral" to her, not ashy. She then wanted to bring her stylist Amber out to tell her "side of the story" but instead they went into a corner inside the store and did not appear until I walked over to view them through the window. Then they both came out and she had Amber tell her what she had done and Lien was nodding and commending her and then Lien put words in my mouth and said "but she is saying you used a 3A" and I stopped her and said I am not accusing her of using a different color, I am just saying this is area is really dark brown. I said it was my Birthday and I wished I had never come in in the first place and then she said "I'm not going to risk having a bad review from you but like I've seen the last 7 years and it's difficult to be your stylist" and she proceeded to accuse me of having issues with everyone of "her crew" and I'm just looking out for "my crew." I told her her attitude was a problem and then said I would take it up with my credit card and a bad review and started to walk away and that's when she lost it. Like absolutely crazytown lost it. I did tell her FU and "how unprofessional, you own a business" but I was not about to engage further and was really feeling unsafe. I'm glad I recorded it. I can't even imagine talking to a customer like that. Then she texted me later and said she apologized but also that I had 5 issues with 5 stylists in 7 years (not true) and she thought I was picking on her stylist. I did no such thing. Ruth was there today and Martha was there Wednesday, in addition to the customers present who would attest I didn't say or do anything of the sort to Amber. Where she got that from, who knows. She also texted that I should wait and wash it and she would personally fix it for me and if I still didn't like it, give me a partial refund "considering how much work Amber put into it." I booked an appointment online for a daytime appointment on a Tuesday. I thought I could take a quick break from work, get a simple cut and be back online. Well, I guess that was wishful thinking on my part. After waiting for 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment, one of the ladies finally said that my stylist was "just finishing up". She proceeded to take her time finishing up, spent another 10+ minutes talking with her client, then pulled me back to the chair but told me she needed to clean first. She then swept and wiped everything down showing absolutely no sense of urgency. At this point I seriously should have walked out. I got a mediocre cut, however I will not return to a business that does not respect client appointments. Go elsewhere! read more

The salon appears to be well kept and easy to find. The hairdressers overall were friendly. However, the hairdresser I saw appeared to lack technical skills. I asked for a full single color application. The color was unevenly applied and streaks were missed (I have big random sections where my original color is there and no dye.) also- just not the color we talked about. I've never been to a salon where hair dye was all over my face/mouth/nose-- it's expected to have dye occasionally on the ear and certainly the hairline-- but this was something totally different. Additionally, the cut was an inch and a half above requested and I'm just unhappy with the cut. I called to speak with somebody about it and they said I'd have to wait until 2-230 and only during that time could somebody speak with me. Ends up that wasn't correct because somebody called me sooner, thankfully. They tried rebooking me with the same artist, and I declined obviously. Additionally, they left scissors out randomly and my small child found them and cut her hair herself. Vivian told me they not only do hair, but also nails, waxing, and will be offering facials soon too. My haircut was only $25. I went in to get lash extensions after reading several reviews. I have done my lashes in the past and was wanting them again but my last lash lady had moved. I got an appointment and went in. I thought everything was good, had a good conversation with the lash consultant and felt comfortable. Unfortunately less then a week after getting the lashes literally every single one fell out! I called the salon and told them and cancelled my follow up appointment as I was not happy after just spending that much money on lashes and them not lasting very long. I know shedding is normal as your lashes shed but they fell off in clumps thankfully with out my lashes attached. On Saturday, June 11 2022, I had a hair service done at Lavish Beauty Salon. My hair service didn't go as planned. Lien, the manager, dried my hair which caused it to have breakage as well as redness and irritation on my scalp, ears, and neck. It was an ugly hair color and left my hair very dull and dry and not vibrant. Not good. When I made my hair appointment I asked Lien what kind of shampoo and conditioner she uses. She said she uses Pureology brand products and I said that I needed to use Pureology Smooth Perfection. She said okay. When she started to put a product called Malibu Professional CPR on my scalp I told her that my hair is healthy and I asked if the product is not going to dry out my hair. She said no it will make the hair healthy, which it did not. My head felt very heavy after she was done. While the product was still on my head I began to feel my scalp burning and I immediately told Lien that the product was burning my scalp. She said it stays on for 30 minutes and that she will take the cap off in 5 minutes. After she took the cap off I told her my scalp was burning. After 30 minutes I told her my scalp was burning. She said the longer the better and knowing that my scalp was burning she left me sitting even longer. When she went to wash may hair out she used a different Pureology shampoo then the one we discussed when I made the appointment. The bottle she used was a purple bottle but the color of the Pureology Smooth Perfection, that I needed, is pink. I even reminded her that I needed to use the pink bottle when I got to the salon. After using something different than what I asked for, she went and got the pink bottle of conditioner and said she will wash it again with another shampoo. I said no, who wants a two different shampoos and conditioners in their hair. I went to 3 other salons for them to look at my scalp and hair. They all said my scalp had redness and irritation and dry hair which caused my hair to have breakage. They also noticed the rash and irritation behind my ears that was itchy so I made a doctor appointment. My doctor said that I likely suffered from a chemical burn and recommended me to see a dermatologist. I made the dermatologist appointment and saw them Tuesday, June 29 2022 and was prescribed a solution that I need to use for 3 weeks or longer to clear up my scalp. I have an awesome hair dresser who has been doing my hair for a year. I was not able to get in with her which is why I went to Lavish. I was able to recently see my hair dresser so she could give me a treatment and to cut my hair to correct the damage. She said she had never seen my hair this bad. I still need to cut my hair shorter because of the dryness and damage. Since my visit at Lavish was on a Saturday and they were closed on Sunday and Monday, I had to wait till Tuesday to call Lien. On Tuesday I called Lien to let her know that I was not happy withy my service. She said she would call me back but never did. I tried to reach her on Wednesday and she was able to return my call then. She said she needs a few days to process this. I sent her pictures of my hair, scalp, and ears showing the redness and irritation. Lien did say she would but a hair treatment and do a glaze in my hair. At this point, No thank you. I do not trust her doing any kind of hair service to my hair. As of a week later I contacted her and she tells me she will call me back but never did. She knows she did not do a great job on my hair. I don't mind paying good money for quality hair service but that is not what I got. no tip was added. Lien is over priced for what kind of service you get. Lien has been putting me off since I told her about my hair on June 14 2022. Being a manager, who does that? I told her I would send pictures and I did but never got a response. She knows she is in the wrong and won't make it right by giving me the full refund that I have asked for. I was able to put my undercut into a pony tail prior to my service with Lien. Now my hair is a lot shorter due to the breakage and I am not able to put my undercut in a pony tail. After two weeks of Lien not getting back with me I then contacted someone higher and she gave me my refund. After my dermatologist appointment and receiving my prescription, I texted Lien to see if she would be willing to cover my co-pays for my medical appointments and medication for my scalp. I told her that I have the receipts. She texted back and said that she could not. read more

Wow, all I can say is Wow! I was shocked when my daughter sent me a photo of the partial highlights she had done at this salon yesterday [see attached photo #46]. It was so terrible and it made me wonder if the person who did her hair was licensed. She said it took forever for Christy to do them. We contacted them immediately to get it corrected by them because she was devastated then my daughter called me to say they were scheduling her again with the same lady Christy! No thanks, so yesterday when I talked to the self-proclaimed manager on duty Martha who started out to be a bit rude on the phone but then finally slightly changed her tune when I explained to her very nicely that I didn't want my daughter to be scheduled with the same person again (Why would you?). Come to find out Christy had only been on the job for two days (so they claim). Here's something absolutely ridiculous, even though most people can read magazines and text on their phones while under the dryers, this salon claims the bad highlights were due to the fact that my daughter was reading on her phone. Yeah that's right, you can't look down and read at this salon because it will cause your highlights to not come out. Placing the blame on the client/consumer is the most ridiculous and unprofessional thing. The stylist Christy obviously didn't know how to work with foils and didn't pull them close enough to the scalp, that's Colorist 101. Originally the re-do appointment was set for today 4/16/15 with the Owner but evidently she was too busy to correct the issues and my daughter was unfortunately stuck with Martha who was very rude to her the entire visit and kept referring to my daughter as their problem child(right in front of her). The Owner Lien Phan never once apologized for any of the inconvenience which really made me wonder what kind of a business is this and if it's a legitimate registered salon with the State of Colorado... I will be looking into this further because no consumer should have to go through what my daughter had to go through. I will also update this review with any new developments and I will be contacting the BBB as well. I recently got a haircut to donate to Pantene Beautiful Lengths. Since I was planning on cutting off a foot of my hair, I looked to Yelp to help me find a cheap place with good reviews and I found Lavish Beauty Salon. I was pleased to find they had a Yelp deal $10 for $5. I purchased this deal with no difficulty and headed over to Lavish. I had tried to research their different price packages, but could not find much information on the difference between each package. I went on a Monday evening around 5:30 and despite not having called ahead, they were able to get me right in. The woman who did my hair was very friendly and worked quickly. I am very indecisive and was unsure what I wanted beyond wanting it long enough to pull back for sports so I asked her opinion. I have extremely straight, fine hair so she suggested doing some light layers to soften and add volume. After cutting off over 12 inches and adding some layers, I was pretty pleased with the outcome. The layers were a bit more drastic than I prefer, but I was still pleased with the overall appearance. I would have no qualms returning to Lavish or recommending it to others looking for a nice, affordable place to get their hair cut. read more

Lynn was awesome and she was very helpful with suggestions and listening to what I wanted. I was doing a drastic cut and she was really sweet and wanted to make sure I realized how much my look would change. I had never had highlights done and she explained the process and time window so I knew what to expect. She did a great job with the highlights, they look great and the cut looks awesome. She also gave me some tips on how to quickly do my hair in the morning (per my request) and how to care for the highlights to keep them at their best. Bad customer service and false advertising. Changed the price without any warning or discussion. On their website says womens haircut is $65. So made an appointment with Lien(owner) for both my sister and niece. They both have thick long hair. But we were never warned that the price would be different because of the thickness and length. A lady walked in to buy a gift certificate during my niece getting her haircut and asked how much haircut were. Lien said they range from $55-$75 depending on thickness and length. So my sister said I feel like it was deliberate to make a point that we maybe getting charged more. I said the price online says $65 so I'm sure if she was going to charge more she would let us know ahead of time so we can have the option to decide if the price change would be ok. But she did not discuss any price differences. It wasn't until she was completely done cutting both of their hair and was checking us out. She said my niece is $75 and my sister was $100 for a haircut. I said on your website it says $65 so we did not expect to pay that much. She said your niece is more because of the thickness and your sister because of the length. I felt horrible because I was the one who found them and booked the appointment and let them know it says $65 for a haircut. And for it to jump to $55 more with no discussion or warning was extremely unprofessional. Especially if the fact that she told the lady buying the gift certificate it only ranges from $55-$75 and then decide to charge my sister $100 for a haircut. That is a huge difference $45 dollars more then what they advertise on their website. And never mentioned it to my niece or sister until they were paying. And we were in shock and still tipped her. I used a groupon for cut, partial highlights, and style. I got low lights instead of highlights and color I chose was not what I ended up with. I asked for natural looking (not chunky) copper brown lowlights and ended up with super chunky red. When it was time for the cut she asked if i even wanted it cut. I told her it was part if the groupon and I wanted a V-cut in the back and showed her a picture. She tried talking me out of it saying that it wouldn't look the way I wanted it. Her shift was almost over and she told me she was supposed to meet up with a boy she liked. I think she was rushing and I ended up with a cheap looking Head of hair. Kind of a mess. Getting there was annoying thanks to my GPS. You really need to get in off Jewell, no entry from Kipling. No prices on the product. Sebrina did my hair. Highlights are great, perhaps a bit blonder than what I wanted but everyone says it looks great. Then she took the time to really style my hair with mass of curls. It was beautiful. Also, she likes long hair and didn't pressure me to cut it off. In fact she said she likes working with long hair. She also took the time to show me how to fix my hair by myself. For hair cuts/trims... Positive notes, they're time efficient, nice, and affordable.. However, I would not recommend and will not be back. I've been a total of three times. (First time was a great experience, but that stylist moved away). Since then I've given this place two chances with two different stylists. Both times my layers were very uneven...for example, choppy and some of the layers on the top were longer than the ones underneath them... She sat me down and we spent 15-20 mins talking about what I wanted, she said she could do layers and leave the bottom kind of long. I told her I DID NOT want any type of layering because my curls don't curl the way I want them too if I get layers. We looked at different reference pictures and this woman STILL layered my hair and now I have this weird shelf like look to my hair. I went home and cried. Really disappointed at how unorganized this place is. I just moved here and this was my first time at this salon, so I showed up ten min early for my appointment. 20 min after the appt should have started I was still waiting. I completely understand appointments can run over, but it would have been nice (and professional) for someone to let me know they could still fit me in, since I made an appointment. It was clear they were nowhere near done with any of their clients and they had no idea who was supposed to actually cut my hair, so I decided to leave. I have been coming here since I was in high school, the girls can usually do whatever style or design you'd like, and if they can't they will definitely work something out with you! I have known Lien and Danette since the place opened! This place is definitely my go to spot, I live way up north and I will make this drive anytime just because I know I'll leave satisfied. I just recently met Steffany and Martha, great people, good vibes! I would trust any of these girls with my hair and that's definitely a big deal to me!
