I had a wonderful experience working with HRC team and Dr Coffler! I've known about HRC for a long time, so when I was considering IVF for my second pregnancy, HRC was the first I called. After meeting with Dr. Coffler, I was sure I wanted to work with them so HRC was also the only clinic I contacted. The quality of care is unmatched. Updating my previous review to say that the practice manager reached out to me and we were able to work out the administrative fees. I was able to transfer my frozen eggs out of HRC to a different clinic. My husband and I could not be more happy or pleased with Dr. Coffler and his team! We are blessed to have met them and even more blessed that we were able to be under their care. Our IVF Coordinator Amy was so knowledgeable and helpful when it came to ensuring that we had everything necessary per VA requirements. Dr. Wittenberger is the absolute best!!! My husband and I had been struggling with infertility and had initially sought out treatment at another center that told us we had unexplained infertility. After 2 unsuccessful attempts at IUI at the other facility, we were referred to Dr. Wittenberger. I am a provider myself and had a suspicion of what was "off" with my cycle and possibly preventing us from conceiving. Dr. Coffler and Angel made our dreams come true! HRC was the fourth IVF clinic we worked with and they were absolutely the best. We transferred our embryos to HRC for our fourth transfer and Dr. Coffler really listened to my concerns and did additional testing and tweaks to my protocol, and fully reviewed my previous testing and caught an issue that had been missed by my previous doctors. Angel was amazing at keeping in contact to let me know scheduling or just answering questions along the way. We only needed one transfer with them before we had success. Even if we had needed additional transfers, I would have stayed with them because they made me feel so comfortable throughout the whole process. I wasted a month trying to get tested by this company. They have a call center which has different information than the actual place to get tested. Call center says they take your insurance But you need to make a doctors appointment and get a referral. Then you make a doctors appointment and get a referral so you can make an appointment. Then you show up to your appointment and they say they have to call someone to find out if your insurance works and it'll take a few days. Very frustrating to say the least. read more

HRC fertility made a difficult process even harder. They were extremely difficult to be in contact with through the cycle process. I would have questions about medications beginning and I wouldn't be able to get ahold of my coordinator. It was very stressful and stressful for me to not know what was going on exactly because they had poor communication. The office environment was gloomy as well. Saw Dr. Coffler for IVF. Extremely disappointed at the service we received. When he was doing my follicle count he counted 13. I asked if that number was a decent amount, and he rudely stated "well you're not 21 anymore. It is what it is". I couldn't believe how rude he was. Angel our coordinator was a sweetheart, however not the sharpest tool. The only form of contact was via email. Her responses were not in a timely manner & she never proof read her replies. Most of the time I had to decipher what she was trying to say. One time when asking about some financial info, she confused me with another patient. She told me to be at the egg retrieval in Newport at 9am when the correct time was 8am. THEN, when she called to tell us the results of our embryos she decided to not communicate with me, although her & I had communicated the entire time. She decided to call my husband who is mostly unavailable due to his job. My husband stated he had no calls or msg's from her. When I finally spoke with her I asked her to confirm our phone numbers and she basically was calling a different number & blamed it on the reception girls. I would save your money & go somewhere else. The experience in Newport with the HRC staff during the egg retrieval was amazing. But dealing with Dr. Coffler and Angel, my experience was not a positive one. I regret not following my instincts & going somewhere else. Oh & one more thing, we paid for everything upfront as requested. We received a bill from the hospital & we have called the financial department several times and nothing. We even sent an email and still no response. Since then it's gone to collections and HRC is suddenly unavailable to reply back. Worse place ever. I don't know how they have such positive reviews because they should be reported for being incompetent and rude. Make sure wherever you go, the doctor isn't a jerk & the coordinator is smart. I LOVE Dr. Coffler and Angel! I live in Los Angeles, and their office is in Oceanside. But the distance didn't matter one bit, because they were both available via email and phone call - and they always got back to me within the same business day. After 13 years of marriage and wanting a baby to call our own, Dr. Coffler and Angel have made our dreams come true. I am currently 13 weeks, and while I still have some more "growing" to do, I wouldn't be where I am now without either of them. Dr. Coffler - He is so gentle, kind and compassionate. I only met him one time during the actual FET, but he was so humorous and kind-hearted throughout the whole FET procedure. He didn't treat me like "another patient" - I was his one and only patient at that moment. After the FET, he even blessed us with a sign of the cross, saying "I now pronounce you proud parents to be." He didn't have to do that, but I think his "blessing" on us really worked! During our work up we found out few obstacles, he provided us with different options while being also being realistic. I can't tell you how much I love HRC Fertility! After going to Kaiser for a year and half with no success (insurance covered) I moved on to Dr. Coffler and his team. I'm so glad I did! Two friends of mine both have sons from him (IVF). They swore by him. He is so kind and smart and his team office staff is amazing! I just had my egg retrieval on Saturday and I received first class service. I healed beautifully and it was actually a really positive experience even though I was so nervous!
