A technician came to inspect the septic system. An issue has been discovered by a septic pumping service, that "batt" media had fallen into the bottom of the holding tank. The tech was unsure whether HRI was certified to make repairs on the system due to EPA regulations and requirements, or whether any repairs would be fully or partially covered by the service agreement in place. The tech said he would check on the issues and contact me so I could determine how to proceed. The technician seemed knowledgeable, but nearly a week has passed and I haven't had any contact. read more

I would give HRI Plumbing themselves 5 stars but unfortunately they hired a substandard subcontractor to perform the back fill on a $13,000 dollar sewer line replacement job. The substandard sub did a substandard, highly inadequate job on the back fill. I texted and sent pictures to HRI estimator for 60 days after the substandard inadequate completion of the job to no avail. The lying subcontractor just kept on lying. I finally had to make to two (2) trips to the HRI to speak with management before the lying subcontractor performed yet another half assed back fill. HRI is great but the subcontractor they use is a slacker and worse yet a LIAR.. I would highly recommend HRI if the job does not involve back fill. If the job involves back fill make sure the work is inspected and code completed before you pay the final 50%. read more

In the last two years, we have had a new furnace, central air conditioner, sump pump, and water heater installed by Aire Serv which has since become HRI Plumbing. The service I have received from both the office staff, and the techs has been very professional and courteous. Everyone has been very accommodating to our needs concerning repairs/replacement, and we are satisfied with the outcome. The prices are rather high, but you get what you pay for. They charge by the task rather than the hour- and they define the task. I hired him for no more than two hours of work, and he presented me with an estimate for nearly $1,000. I told him I'd figure out how to do the job myself. I did it in just under two hours. read more

DO NOT CALL!!! We were told more than once they would come diagnose the issue for $99 and then present an estimate for repair. They presented a cost of $1200.00 and made it sound as if that would fix the problem but $1600.00 later they left us with the same problem and no answers as to what the issue was but sent another guy to give a new estimate for repair and that came to $15,000.00. Bottom line is they will rip you off. read more

DO NOT CALL. I've dealt with them on two occasions. I received a quote to replace a $54 cartridge in a faucet and it went from $650 - $950 ! I had it done by another company literally for $125.94 including part. They installed a NEW dishwasher and faucets in my house and charged over $500 ! Problem is the dishwasher leaks and also wont discharge water. The faucet never had the pressure the old one had and when it reduced to a trickle just days later, the REFUSED to backup their work. They would only return to FIX their work if they CHARGED me again. I disassembled the faucet, installed it myself and it works perfectly. Dishwasher still doesn't work after all that money. They are the most expensive for all their services. I use many vendors and this is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Call ANY other company in the Jacksonville, IL area and they will be cheaper and not RIP YOU OFF. read more
