Outdoor fields do not have to be dirty, people! Hollywood Sports Park Combat Center is great. There are concrete floors, and they clean out the bbs mid-day so there aren't injuries. The environment is awesome. They have a Combat Center field, and a Scenario Field, and they alternate play, so if you really wanted to, you can play non-stop. Currently Combat Center has a Middle Eastern/ Arabian theme going full with foreign McD's posters shot full of holes. I hear the Scenario Field has a Mid-West theme going. You get a discount for going early on weekend mornings, or if you are military/ industry. I love playing with real buildings, where you can climb stairs, hide behind abandoned cars, and hide behind curtains. It really adds an element to the gameplay. Even the staging area has vehicles and pipes for a military feel. It's also great how they have enough refs to keep games going, constantly. They are good at having game after game after game. I didn't like how they had Scenario games, in the middle, and closed off Combat Center for half an hour, though. I took a nap during this time. It is also a very woman friendly, and kid friendly park. I love seeing female refs, and clean facilities! Great job on being equal opportunity, and representing all groups! I did not enjoy how around 3:00-4:00 the park started getting really crowded, and they started doing campaigns where buildings were off limit. It's really much too crowded to limit where people can hide. It ruins gameplay. Most recently, I went on a Saturday, and the cheating was incredibly bad. Switching fields did not help, and the refs did not seem to know how to stop it. After a bunch of people left because of how bad the cheating got, the ref closed off all buildings. THIS DEFEATS THE PURPOSE OF GOING TO COMBAT CENTER. It became UNPLAYABLE because bands were not calling hits. I had experienced team members, and industry members, and there was only 1-3 people on the other team calling hits. Some of us hit some of their members multiple times in the same game, and those people kept playing, and when we complained to the refs, they told us "oh no, them again?" like they weren't sure what to do about it. read more

This is an update for their private party service. It was excellent! We were able to get many games in and a good amount of time as well. Everyone had fun! The referee was a very chill but professional guy. He allowed us to play a couple custom games towards the end of the night. Any questions or concerns were handled immediately as well. I will say I cannot speak about rentals since no one used a rental. read more

My son and his buddy had such an amazing time, they kept extending and extending their time there :-) I'm not sure if it's a good thing but an older guy kept sharing his babies and helping the boys out, the boys are only 11 but it seemed very safe and a lot of staff members work there, and I think it was the owner or maybe manager, he also seemed to be quite on top of things... I really appreciate when there is a lot of protection and security, everybody seemed cool. This place has gone down the drain! Refs are lazy, manager sucks, games are fast, and PA system needs to be fixed! Speed airsofter teams who go there cheat ie: MIA, FTP. They cause problems for the other players/customers every weekend! So when people complain to the refs that they are cheating nothing is done to solve the problem, maybe they will get banned for a week, but they come back the next weekend and do the same shit over again! All the owner cares about is making money and screw the customers having a bad time there due to a few assholes!!! Tighten up on banning dumb asses! Best / safest fields in Los Angeles. Good for kids, private groups, and just playing with cool refs, staff, and players who follow the rules. If i had to choose losing a toe, i would take that challenge just to play at Hollywood Sports Park over Tac City any day. just kidding on the toe, i like my toes, but this is seriously the best fields, refs, and business for airsoft in Socal. What am i trying to say? After a 1 time visit to Tac City on a friday night full of refs letting folks with yearly paid memberships not follow the rules and get away with it all night (even a staff member who was playing on his off time who just kept cheating and they didn't care), I will never play at Tac city again. I will continue to always play at HSP now.. I love this place and the refs encourage calm honorable game play. Check it out for yourself.. its worth it! Its well rounded. Of course there will be cheaters, but that is always at every park, I've learned that its not the park, its who you are as a person and if you can deal with it. I just ignore them and have fun, or as always shoot them more! The maps have different style to play to, but its not the same as a true "outdoor" fields where DMRS/Snipers can be placed effectively. But as I said, this is close for me, 10-15min drive, 405N-710N-91W Lakewood, Done. I consider it my home turf and there are starting to be more "sponsored teams" and that to be honest is my only worry. I hope that the teams will treat normal people good, split up, make sure teams are even and so forth. So far the sponsored teams have been nothing but extremely nice, outgoing, and kind. The teams that are known are Synergy, 310, Cloud, Rogue and a few others. Those teams that I've listed are really nice, not cocky, willing to split up their teams to help even it out and other stuff such as helping "noobs." Tac City is ruthless and full of terrible sponsored teams who stack the teams and make it a horrible experience. I apologzie for the long review but I've been going there awhile. the staff are awesome and recognize when you are a regular. they keep cheating to a minimum and take care of the younger soldiers. food is limited to pizza under a heat lamp from a local pizzeria, chips and drinks. best idea is to bring a cooler stocked with food. it can be very hot during the day but cools way down at sunset. read more

Love this center. Good referees and, by and large, welcoming players.

Absolutely horrible customer service. Come here to see unorganized business at its best. Take forever to run games, and when they do, if there's a large crowd, the games only last 4 minutes. You end up waiting 15 just to play 2 8 minute games. They make you watch a safety video at the start of the day, then sign off on your wrist band before you play. Even with this, the rules are repeated before the start of every set of games, ridiculous. There is also some player favoritism because if a game "closes", the refs will let some players in still if they know them personally. The players cry and complain to the refs, then the refs put in their 2 cents before the games along with the rules and threaten to only let the entire group (walk-ons mind you) that if so and so happens again, only one game will be played instead of a set. This is not the military; this is a customer service based job. Where do you get off on punishing the masses for the actions of a few? read more

This was my first time playing airsoft and I'm glad I chose to go to Hollywood Sports because it was a good first experience. The Combat Center was really cool looking and the staff was very nice. We came out with a private group of about 20 people for my friend's birthday and everyone had a good time. The prices were reasonable and discounted because we made a reservation before we got there. The fields were realistic looking and pretty cool if I'd say so myself. I've never seen anything like that before. But I'm sure they have a lot of regulars that come out because overall it was an experience to remember and it makes you wanna come back. I know we all plan to return to the park very soon. If you have played airsoft before but have never been here before, or if it will be your first time, I definitely recommend you try this place out! read more

Great airsoft field! The staff was incredible friendly and helpful. The fields were laid out very well and looked amazing (like out of a Hollywood movie). The safety areas around the fields were very clean and accommodating. This is a good, family friendly field to play at. My son and I have played at many fields, in different states, and this one is by far top notch. I would recommend this field to anyone and everyone. read more
