Yesterday afternoon we were supposed to pick up a pre-ordered specific pinata and take it to Austin for our granddaughter's birthday party this morning. When we were ready to pick it up late yesterday afternoon, there had been a mixup on the order and they thought it was supposed to be for a later date . They pitched right in and worked on it overnight and even met us there before regular opening so we could get it to Austin in time for the party. It is dry, it is perfect. I had no trouble finding a parking spot both times I went there Cost: The medium sized piñata I got was 27.06 with tax. It is an additional cost to purchase the stick. I believe the larger sized piñatas are 35. Inside the store you can find more than just piñatas. I saw some new year's eve decorations that were very affordable. They also have some candy for the piñata and other types of decorations and party favors. They even have baptism and Quincenera party favors. Overall: it's a very small boutique size piñata store but they do have a huge selection. I was not however going to lie to make them happy. There are more than an ample number of these types of businesses in Houston...choose a more reputable one. They have left me a week away from the event for my daughter with no dunk tank and no bounce house. Have also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau Houston As an addition/update to my previous review I thought it important to note that there have been 18 previous reviews of KingKong Party Rentals and they have all been filtered out. What does filtered out mean? It means that Yelp has algorithms in place to prevent deceitful behaviors by businesses to put up fake or solicited reviews. While this does not affect most companies what is important to grasp from this is that EVERY positive review they received was filtered out due to this type of attempt at putting up fake reviews to make them look better than what they actually are. See the pattern? They are an untrustworthy company and you should spend your money elsewhere. New update...they have tried to post some more fraudulent reviews to their site to make themselves look better. They have had 20 filtered out now. This guy is a really deceitful person and you should avoid him.

They emailed a few days later stating the quote, and included instructions to reply within an hour to reserve the day and time I had requested, which I did - I responded as soon as I received a notification that I had an email. I received no response until the following morning. The email they sent me stated they were rechecking availability and would get back with me. What was the point in telling me to reserve within an hour (which I did) if they weren't going to reserve it? I responded asking for them to give me a call, or to respond with a number I could call, so that we could make the reservation over the phone. That no doubt would have been much easier and faster. I received nothing back and after 24 hours emailed them AGAIN stating that I would not be using their services after all. If you value your time, do not waste it trying to work with this company as they clearly do not want your business. A tip for the owner: invest in a business phone and actually use it. UPDATE: I received a plethora of e-mails, texts and phone calls from this company apologizing and how they did value my business. They had apparently experienced technical difficulties the previous day. Either way, I had already moved on to another company. Be aware that if you do choose book with this company, it will be mainly through text and e-mail. I am giving them 3 stars on customer service (a combination of before and after the issue) only because I never got a chance to experience the actual product. I may try them again in the future, just not this time.

They mentioned they had a replacement available. I returned the call within about 30 minutes, but by then I was told the replacement had already left the warehouse and was no longer available. That left us without a slide on the day of our party, with a house full of kids and guests and virtually no chance of finding another rental on one of the busiest days of the year. I understand accidents happen and equipment can get damaged. My disappointment is that there didn't seem to be a backup plan to make things right for a customer who had reserved a premium rental for a major holiday. When you're spending this much money and planning an event around a specific attraction, reliability matters.
