It was severely weathered and they made it look new after a couple days work without removing it. They charged us 1/3rd of the other companies that gave us quotes. We also have had them repair other doors, fix rotted stairs, replace broken deck boards, replace handrails, stain and paint, as well as multiple repairs. Each time their workers came when they said they would, did the work efficiently and did a great job. One very important point: we have had several storm-related repairs lately. Our insurance provided contractor ghosted us, several others did not return our call, many thought our needs were not substantial/lucrative enough. Andy Gibb and his team have come through for us with reasonable prices, good communication and great results!

Mr. Gibbs came to home, extremely late on the day of the appointment. He suggested he cut the damaged spindle and take it with so it could be matched exactly. He ensured me his wood guy could replicate the discontinued spindle as I requested. He also ensured me it would only take a few days to get the spindle back. He quoted me a price e of over 400.00 for 1 wooden spindle and would not start the work without a deposit and contract. It ended up being weeks before I got the spindle back. When he returned, the color was extremely off, and he had to take the spindle back to fix the color. Several weeks later he again returned. When he returned I could not believe what he brought back to be placed in my home stairwell. It was not the custom-made spindle replicated by his wood guy, but a 6.00-dollar spindle from Home Depot. The color did not match, nor was it the same style of spindle. He failed to inform me that he would be installing the wrong spindle. I WAS LIVID! I could not believe a so call reputable company bamboozled me out of 400.00 for a 6.00 spindle. I asked him why he dd not call or inform me he had the wrong spindle, he just arrived at my home and commenced to installing the mis matched spindle. He never apologized, never offered a refund, no even partial. I am still considering suing him for breech of contract. After receiving our deposit, the company significantly increased the price of the project to an amount we could no longer afford. We tried to discuss the situation in person at their office, hoping to find a solution, but instead we were treated disrespectfully. The owner raised his voice, yelled at us, and made the situation even more stressful. The document we signed was not a formal construction contract, yet we were left without our deposit and without the project moving forward. We filed a complaint with the Maryland Home Improvement Commission (MHIC), but unfortunately we did not receive the help we expected. We also hired attorneys, which has only resulted in additional expenses while trying to resolve this matter. Our experience has been frustrating, financially draining, and extremely disappointing. I encourage anyone considering this company to carefully review all paperwork, make sure you have a detailed written contract, and fully understand the terms before paying a large deposit.

He received another call where some folks were locked out of their home. So he left our job in the middle to go help those folks. After a number of hours while my wife was waiting he returned to do the job. On his return he completed the job of rekeying the building or so we thought. My wife didn't check the work for she had already been there to long already waiting for him to return from the other job he went to do while doing ours. We found that the keys didn't work almost immediately but we didn't contact John to have it straightened out for almost a month for we're exceptionally busy. When we contacted him to get it straight he said that in order to get it done there would be a cost associated with this for it wasn't his problem. I have a Levitt built Colonial House in Bowie, MD that had the original wood windows from 1964. The…read morewindows were in bad shape, hard to open, and extremely drafty. Some of the bottom sill and brick molding around the windows was rotted and needed to be replaced. I wanted all 22 wood windows replaced with Revere Berkshire Elite double hung windows. Joe Dixon, my immediate contact from Newbrook, made a great design suggestion for the bank of windows in the living room and dining room (he suggested using one giant horizontal slider at each location instead of three double hungs separated by mullions, as they were originally). From my initial contact with Newbrook until the job was complete, everything went extremely smooth. After my initial contact with them, Joe came to the house and provided a written estimate. He also brought window samples. The window model I purchased (Revere Berkshire Elites double pane) are well known for their energy efficiency (better than Energy Star standards) and modern design (very thin frames which equate to a higher visible glass area). Once my wife and I agreed that Newbrook presented the best value after mulling it over several days, we provided a deposit and signed on the dotted line. From that point, about one week later a very professional gentleman (Carlos) from the installation crew came out and measured all of the windows. Subsequently, the window installation happened approximately 5 weeks after this. Carlos, the same individual who measured the windows, showed up to head up the installation. Speaking of the installation, I had done quite a bit of research on the proper way to install vinyl replacement windows. In fact, I obtained the installation instructions directly from Alside (the window manufacturer, parent company of Revere). I was very happy with the installation - the windows were a nice, snug fit in the existing framing. Low expanding foam was inserted around all gaps, the caulking was high quality and aesthetically pleasing, and the aluminum capping was to spec. They also replaced the rotted wood as promised prior to capping. The crew cleaned the inside and outside of every window prior to leaving and left no trash behind. I should also mention that both Joe and his partner, Dermott (the owner of Newbrook) came to my house during the install and inspected the installation as it was unfolding. The windows look fantastic - many times better than the original wood windows. I can already tell that the house is better insulated now - I adjusted the thermostat up 3 degrees and it only took about 20 minutes for the temperature to raise (it was about 40 degrees outside) - previously, it would take about 45 minutes to accomplish this. In summary, Newbrook has been a pleasure to deal with. No sales gimmicks - they gave me a great price right from the start without the hassle of negotiation. The installation is high quality, and the reputation of the window manufacturer (Alside) is something that can depended on (they've been in business since 1947, so if I ever have a warranty issue, chances are they'll still be around to take care of it). I attached four pictures of the front of my house. On one picture, the top windows have been replaced but the bottom windows have not. On the second picture, the bottom windows have been replaced. However, the capping and installation aren't complete. The third and fourth pictures show the windows after everything was completed.

I got lucky by a random referral from my vet and found SF Jones. My technicians were Matt and Isiah who were fantastic! It was over 90 degrees in my house at the time and they had already been working in far more heat than that. They were beyond friendly and professional AND were able to get my unit back up and running. My house went from 93 degrees to a very comfortable 70 degrees within 24hrs. They were also able to diagnose what I had assumed that I would need a unit replacement sooner than later...I will for sure be using them for this as well. I HIGHTLY recommend them :)
