This pizza parlor is such a cozy spot! Hubby's pizza is always a must-try when we're around. We got a Hubby's combo and a gluten-free pizza pepperoni and mushrooms,both freshly baked. Hubby's pizzas are just amazing. I tried their mushrooms for the first time, and they looked a bit different--they're actually canned mushrooms, which is not what I'm used to. But they were still delicious, in my opinion. You can get Parmesan and red chili flakes at the table. There is also a salad bar, and the staff is always making sure everything is stocked and clean. They provide plates for the salad bar when you pay for your order (if you order an actual salad bar plate). There's a fountain machine for sodas,and the staff fills up your drink. They have both big group tables and smaller ones for indoor dining. Plus, there's an outdoor play area with a few tables where you can eat. read more

We had dinner at Hubbys Friday night and it was the best pizza!! We had the Hubbys householder with fresh mushrooms and it was amazing! The crust was cooked perfectly, looked perfect and tasted amazing! Service was great, and the restaurant was clean! If you advertise you are open til 8pm you need to take orders until then. We drove 20 minutes, based on looking at your hours and arrived at 825. Salad bar was already empty and when we went to order we were told that the ovens had been shut down for 20 minutes. Change your hours or change your policies. read more

I absolutely love this place. Really nice family atmosphere and the pizza rocks. It's like the old school Shakey's pizza that you got as a kid. Little bit of char on the crust, perfectly on the thin side, heavy on the toppings and delicious. Nothing like the cookie cutter chain places - when you order a large, it's LARGE. Tons of parking, really great place to bring kids. World's largest pizza knife is an interesting curio. But man... I just can't say enough about the pizza. The prices might seem high compared to the chains but when you figure you're getting a real size pizza, not some 12" "large" it's worth it. My husband has been sent here for work and we rolled in last night and I was starving. I saw the pictures on your website and was super excited. I was surprised how fast he was back so it only took maybe 20 minutes. I opened the box to what looked to be absolute perfection. It was thee prettiest pie I've seen to date. The first bite was good but I did notice ZERO crunch to the crust. I am torn bc the toppings? All meld together and the flavor was absolutely amazing. That crust tho. I was figuring you were just another Pizza Place that doesn't use cornmeal on the bottom but YOU DO! I cannot Understand why it was chewy. That ruined it for me. We ordered a turkey sandwich and a Pee Wee sized Amigo pizza with a large Hubby's Household Combination to go. The sandwich was good, no complaints. The Amigo was good, but there were too many veggies. The combination was okay, but don't care for canned mushrooms on anything. The use of fresh mushrooms would have made this a much better pizza. Both pizzas had good crispy crust. They also have a great salad bar. There is rustic bench seating. There is an enclosed, covered open air play ground for the kids. There are a few video games. I walked in to do the carry out special for $16.49. It's a large pepperoni. Great. That's a good deal. I asked to add jalapeños to half. The girl just looks at me and tells Me if I add the jalepeno it will be almost $29 because now it's a 2 topping and that's not on special. So dumb- you're already offering the special for a good price- I'm already here to carry it out. Just charge me the full price for the extra topping. But nooooo. I like the pizza but I won't be back. My family and I came here a few years back to celebrate my son's birthday. My kids had a good time playing around there and the pizza was great. Fast-forward about 2 years now and I took my son there as a treat. The cashier was a bit aloof, but that wasn't a big deal to me. I was kind of taken back that it was $30 for a small cheese pizza and one trip to the salad bar. We finally get our plain cheese pizza and my son didn't like it nor much wanted another bite. What happened to this place? Bring back the old owners! Had lunch today with wife. Total of 5 people in the building, customer service and acknowledgment poor! No sense of urgency whatsoever. I remember Hubby's when it was in Grandview. Walking into the establishment was a little jarring, because the set up is so similar. It feels like I was walking right back into the old Hubby's. Okay, now back to the review. We ordered a salad and a small pepperoni and pinapple pizza, easy on the sauce. It's my favorite combo and I don't usually get to order it, so I took advantage. The crust is my favorite texture, chewy and baked enough to hold up the toppings. It gets a little charred and a little bubbly, and it just creates a good foundation for the toppings. A great find for the area and I found it thanks to Yelp. It has a pretty basic salad bar but I love salad bars so sign me up. The only real criticism I have is it seems a little spendy for a pizza joint. We had a large 2 topping and a medium soda to split and the tab was $31. Oh well, I would still come back because this is the perfect kind of pizza for me. Sauce to cheese and topping ratio is amazing and the thin cornmeal crust is my kind of jam. I like Hubby's Pizza, a lot. The pizza is freshly made, the salad bar has fresh ingredients, and finally the beer selection is better than but or bud light. The whomper sandwich leaves a little to be desired, but there are plenty of excellent pizzas that more than make up the difference. One of the best parts of Hubby's is the play area and video games. The little ones can run like hell and get their energy out before having a slice. The video games are modern and well maintained. Nice place to have locally for a Sunday night pizza. read more

Found many bones in my Hawaiian Pizza. I guess because it's their special right now they are using a cheaper meat that includes meat bones? The best pizza in the world is the pizza you can get only one place in the world. Hubby's is such a place. The decor has not changed much in the thirty or so years they have been open. Neither has the pizza thankfully. The crust is crisp but not burnt, the sauce spiced but not overdone, and the toppings are all flavorful. The seating is benches, so may not be the most comfortable for some. Also, some may think the prices are a bit high, but you won't get pizza like Hubby's anywhere else in the world, as it should be. My family asked me where I'd like to go for my birthday and while the choices in the Tri-Cities tend to be minimal (to me, at least), there was a place I always wanted to go. I've lived here for decades, driven past it countless times but never made a stop at Hubby's. Finally, I told them there I want to go and to Hubby's we went. First off, we went there on a Saturday night at 5pm or so and it was incredibly busy, to the point where we weren't able to find a place to sit. That was a disappointment but it was also a good sign, for that tells me enough people like the food, it must be worth the weight. Or wait. My sister was aware of a "rose tomato sauce", a lighter sauce that isn't part of their regular menu so I wanted to try that and she ordered it. The cashier had to ask someone what that sauce was so the guy in the back who may have been the oldest one there was asked if he knew. He knew exactly what it was and we got it as a large, along with something from the salad bar. We went home and the pizza was awesome. Now I knew why this place has been there for 42 years and with luck, it will be there for 42 more, or for at least another generation or two to enjoy. read more

This is a classic mom and pop pizza joint. The crust is made from scratch daily and is a great base for the multitude of toping options. You can watch them running the fresh dough through a press while you watch them make your food. The pickle pizza is not as strange as it sounds, and the tangy pickles are a great contrast to the meat. That is, if you like dill pickles. The owner is a racist. He humiliated a Hispanic man and his family just because he got a second serving of salad. Unbelievable that this is happening in our community. "Just let me start of by saying we wish this man no ill will, or bad fortune. But what we lived through tonight is not acceptable, for my wife and kids to have gone through this breaks my heart! The gentleman in the grey shirt claimed to be the owner of the establishment we regrettably choose to dine at. He approached me at the salad bar, aggressively demanding I put the salad on my plate back into salad bar, I respectfully denied his request based on it being unsanitary and the fact I'd patiently been waiting for my pizza to arrive for quite some time. Yes, this was my second trip to the salad bar, but he could have approached me in 10 different ways. He immediately began to demand I leave the establishment after I denied his request, visibly agitated, he was shaking and threatened to call the police. Which I was fine with, since I felt the "owner" was singling me out, and being racist to my family and I. I followed him to the phone where he was calling the police from, asked my wife to begin recording, when he suddenly violently swung at my wife, hitting her in the hand, knocking the phone out of her hand. The only way I can explain the that fact we didn't lose our cool, was that we where in shock, asking ourselves, is this really happening. The video is 3 minutes long, and law enforcement did get involved. KPD handled the situation very professionally, and treated both party's with respect! I did charge him with racism, which I believe fits, you might disagree. But if you're white, you've most likely never been or will be put in a situation like this, called a thief in front of your family and other customers for a second round at the salad bar, told to leave the establishment and never come back, while also being threatened to have the cops called on you. Keep in mind, this all started over a second trip to the salad bar. That did not constitute being humiliated, and assaulted. The place is in downtown Kennewick, of Columbia Drive, a "family pizza place", and rhymes with chubbys pizza.
