Asked to use the size 7 or 6 pound ball due to weaker wrists from medical conditions and the first guy told me that they are only for children. Asked the other worker later and explained that I have weaker wrists told me that they don't carry them not even for kids. Later saw the 7 or 6 pound ball being used, so he lied to me. I understand they are "meant" for children. But they should be able to be used by adults who are weaker. We took our grandchildren out last Saturday for food and fun! Going to Spare Time was a HUGE mistake. Our food was sitting in arcade getting cold. After 15+ minutes the kid that was running the till came and got us! We had sat at a table by arcade. I asked if that was OK! I was told yes! Our food was nasty, burnt and cold. Unfortunately we culd not address it cause the manger was truly bullying us, bad! Made one of my grandkids cry! I was regretting giving a 20% tip! We have given this place alot of business in the past, ALOT! That ended for good last Saturday and I am sharing this nasty, rude, inconsiderate experience that they gave us! Last night was my son's 4th bday party and I made my reservations online...well there are "bowling party selections and there are arcade party selections" I thought I selected the arcade party package and well I didn't.... I accidentally selected bowling and well zayden definitely wanted to rage the arcade only.... so I walk in with my table decorations etc. Big ol balloons all kinds of stuff...expecting Over 10 people to show up... Wish I could give this place 0 stars and whoever "Roowie" or whoever was working 3/30 @8:30pm. I called and requested a 80$ refund because we had barely booked our reservation and had no ability to cancel within two hours because the reservation was less than 2hrs. Husband and I used to go and play pool and have a couple drinks or just hit the arcade with our teenagers and it's always a good time but this time we went on a triple date to bowl and it was such a blast! The atmosphere was fun, the drinks were so tasty and the bar tenders were super sweet with accommodating my drink by replacing vodka with tequila. The food! The menu has changed since the last time I was there but the staple bar food was still there. Had the quesadillas, both the chicken and ground beef. 2 orders of fries with the works and 2 orders of nachos. They were brought to our lane in a timely manner and the food was FIRE! It's a little confusing as to what this place is really named. The listing here on Yelp says "Celebrity Bowl" but the big neon sign over the door says "Spare Time Lanes." Either way, we had a good time bowling with our friends. They have really old scoring equipment, but it worked great and the lanes were in good condition. It was a weekday afternoon, and there were no leagues at the time, so we had no problem getting a good lane and equipment. Not sure how other days/times would be. Our family was there yesterday. People at the front counter were pretty rude since the second we walked in.. but whatever.. we were trying to have a good time and disregarded it. We got a game for the kids. 5 kids total(4 were under 3).. so the kids are bowling, we are on the top area eating because we couldn't take our food down in the bowling area. Totally fine. I get it.. So the kids (under 3) were using the bowling ball slide. My 8 year old daughter decides to use it.. so Roy runs up to her and says something.. I look over and she is in TEARS!!! He told her she's too big to use that and pulled it away from her. Why not approach the parents w this issue? When confronted he just said that it bounced off the floor. So again, come talk to me about it. I'm pretty sure the bowling floor is made to handle a bowling ball. She is a kid, having fun. Not a profesional bowler! Bowling was fun, the front desk guy was great and very helpful. Jukebox was fun and they had the neon lights going. THAT part of the night was great however, our bar experience ruined the last half of our night there. The bartender, Roy, was extremely rude to our group. We came in on a Saturday night and the whole place was pretty empty so we went into the bar after our round of bowling. Roy told us that he was tired of waiting for us to figure out what we wanted to drink and that he was exhausted and just wanted to go home. Last call was in 15 minutes but he told us he was shutting the bar down and wouldn't serve us because he "had a long day and just wanted to get out of here." We won't be returning. read more

The staff are all friendly, and Alan in the pro shop is super knowledgable. The staff members often bowl when they're off of work, and they're always good about maintaining the lanes. read more

Met the family there for our grandson's birthday. He wanted to bowl, and play video games. Most expensive place I have ever bowled in my life. $86 for 5 people to bowl for an hour? I have never had to pay by the hour before in my life! Were told on the phone that we could bring "cold" food in, and cupcakes. Get there, and we're told that we could not. Bowling is something we really enjoy as a family. We love coming here and enjoy not only bowling, but the large arcade. The environment is pleasant and we always have fun. The reason I didn't give it five stars is for a few reasons; first, the customer service is not great, in person is much better than calling. You apparently can't reserve a lane over the phone several hours in advance which is insane to me. The pizza we got was SUPER expensive and not very good. We came to this bowling alley to have a fun night out, which comes very infrequently as a parent and unfortunately the employee at the guest service desk was rude to us and ruined the last half of the cosmic bowling tonight. One of our group was learning how to spin the bowling ball while tossing it down the lane and one time accidentally went into the lane next to us. One time. There was nobody bowling that lane, no body got hurt...the service desk man aggressively approached us and said if that happens again he will shut our lane down. Wow! First, we had fun bowling. We were with a group of 8 people...however, the waitress in the bar was rude. She was very friendly to guys, but not so much to girls. Waitresses should know that if you want a good tip, be nice to the women. I ordered some food, checked on it 45 min later (simple cheeseburger) and she told me she hadn't even put the order in yet. They have only 3 booths now, and in a big EMPTY ROOM (where they previously had more seating) they have to charge you to even bring out a table so you have a place to sit and eat. I love the arcade there. I decided to have my 2 year old birthday party in one of the private rooms. I wouldn't have a party there again. I was constantly running out of the room for basic items such as forks, plates, napkins. The counters weren't wipe down or floor vacuum for the party. I was only checked on the last 15 minutes of a 2 hour party. I had a difficult time getting soda for the party and everyone was lucky if they got a cup regardless of the fact that I paid $2 per adult. I attempted to resolve this matter via online comment card. The kids and I had to wait about 20-30 minutes for an open lane. The attendant was really professional and kept reassuring us about the wait. The overall facility appeared to be in disrepair with ceiling tiles discolored from a leaky pipe and a non working AC unit. It was extremely warm inside and this made it uncomfortable. Giving this place a 1 star rating is being overly generous. I rented a room for my son's first birthday THREE months before the planned date. When I went to go decorate the room for my son's party they sent me to a little "party room". This room was a small unfinished, filthy carpeted, half painted joke. I asked the shift lead ROY ASPLUND for a refund and he said that was fine, I then proceeded to tell him we were still going to have to use the room because we had no were else to have it and he said I could still get a refund. When my husband brought in the food for the birthday the man said we weren't allowed to eat that in the room even though I was never informed of this when I called to make the reservation. When my mother tried asking Roy a question he lifted his head so they couldn't make eye contact and refused to answer her. While I was telling some of my guests why I was so upset I over heard ROY mention to another employee that we wanted our party perfect and that was why we where so upset. After the party I went over to Roy who had become very rude and asked him how I go about getting a refund to which he replied that I couldn't because I used the area. I asked him if I could get corporates number or his manager he told me that it was locally owned and that he couldn't give me his managers number. My husband then told him he didn't even believe he should have been able to rent the room out because there was an unfished wall made soley of 2 by 4s and Roy rudely laughed at him. Eventually Roy gave us a fake number for his manager and we left. This is the worest service I have EVER had to endure, if I had advice fot anyone, it's to steer clear of this place. read more
