Food was just ok. The brisket was zero smoke flavor. The ribs were the best part of the meal. The baked beans were almost like a chili with hamburger in it. Not my favorite. The lobby was hot. And it was not really super hot outside yet. The decor is dark. Good thing cause it hides all the dirt. But you can't hide sticky floors, tables and seats. The waitress was rude. This was better than expected. Friendly staff with self seating. The order came out quickly. I had the brisket and pulled pork with sides of potato salad and coleslaw. The only thing I didn't care for was the brisket. It seemed colder than I expected and it was dryer than I normally want. The pulled pork with the spicer sauce was on point. No sign whether to seat yourself or just stand there being gawked because you're not wearing boots and flannel and a baseball hat or other reflective attire. Eventually they notice you and bring a menu. After six people seated way after you get their food you get noticed again. "What was that you ordered so I can check on it" which in my experience, is code for I forgot to put your order in that you gave me a half hour ago. How to be sure? The ticket brought with the food has a timestamp of 5 minutes ago. I never seen brisket sliced so thin. Like, meat slicer thin. Yet it didn't have a hint of smokiness. When you order beans and beans be sure to clarify you mean baked beans and green beans otherwise you might get two of one or the other. Which tasted like they were straight out of the can with oddly, sausage added. The sausage also tasted like it never saw a smoker. Boiled? Sauce reminded me of cheap bottled sugary type. Stopped here on a road trip because it is right off of the highway--easy in and out. Lots of cars in the parking lot was a sign we were in the right place. BBQ was pretty good, BUT my side of coleslaw contained pieces of blue plastic from the container it was shipped in. Also, I watched a server pick up a dropped plate of food from the floor and then go into the kitchen and grab more food with bare, unwashed hands. We went to the new store in Marshfied. Not a fan. Styrofoam cups, plastic wear to eat with, disposable everything. Sodas in plastic bottles. I realize it's Missouri and environmentalism hasn't taken hold yet but this place shows zero concern for sustainability. And the food was pretty lousy too. read more

This turned out to be more of a problem than one would have anticipated... due to the fact that they were out of everything ...no smoked turkey no smoked sausage...no ice cream for the blackberry cobbler. Charged an up charge of $1 per meal for sides...that were listed as regular. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great. read more

First went to the location in Marshfield about 18 months ago. Almost didn't go because why waste my time? No way this could come close measuring up to the top Texas BBQ places I usually frequent. But I went. Was absolutely blown away how good the ribs were. Maybe top 3 I've ever had. Came out glistening and was so good. Beans and corn were an A-. Left so satisfied I planned stopping here the next time I drove through few months later. Came back and wasn't as blown away as before but left more than satisfied. BBQ isn't always super consistent so no big deal. Came back thru today. The marshfield location is closed for good so I came to this location. Ribs came out dry and raggedly looking like they had been just chilling from the night before. Got a full rack and barely ate 4 ribs, couldn't do it. I don't typically leave negative reviews, and the only reason I left a negative review is cuz I was blown away by the ribs initially and now it's just meh at best. I won't be back but hopefully the owner knows how good he can make them and get back to that. read more

Read the billboard and had to try it. Cherry smoked ribs! YUMMO. Juicy tender sweet smoke. Loved the sauces one spicey too. The spicey one had just enough underlying heat from something I couldn't pick out for being from Oklahoma spicey sauce usually includes cayenne, jalapeños or chili powder--I detected none of these and it was delicious. Garlic bread tasty and the baked beans and homemade potato salad were great compliments. If we're through here again will definitely give the other meats a try. My husband and I split a pulled pork dinner and there was plenty of food for both of us. The pulled pork had a good flavor and was fairly tender. We had slaw and potato salad for the two sides.
