The fryer oil definitely needs to be cleaned or replaced. I've saved the worst for last--the service. The individual at the counter has entered our order incorrectly 2/3 times recently and seems to be very easily confused or flustered. I'm not sure we'll give this place another second chance.

It was such a strange, almost hostile energy at the table, and it immediately soured the experience. Then the food came, and it was nothing like it used to be. What used to taste like good, home-style cooking now felt bland, poorly prepared, and honestly not worth eating. I could tell right away it wasn't the same standard Smith's used to be known for. What really stood out, though, was the atmosphere. Even though there were quite a few people inside, the restaurant was silent.
