I used to love this place. After last time, my business will be taken elsewhere. At work one night, myself and a coworker decided to order from there because we were so hungry and it sounded really good. A third coworker was going to a different place to pick up her dinner, but was stopping at Huddle House to pick up ours while she was out. We both gave her our debit cards. When she got back, she told me that the waitress got really hateful and confrontational while she was paying for our food because she didn't click a tip button. My coworker explained those weren't her cards, and the girl replied "Well did they tell you not to leave a tip?!" She explained..again..she wasn't going to add money on our cards without our knowledge. The girl tells her (coworker) that next time, she'd be calling the cardholders about a tip because our orders were difficult to make and she didn't have money in her pocket. Next time?! She seriously thinks there'll be a NEXT TIME after that? She'd said the hash browns were hard to make? Crispy hash browns. I don't know about hard to make, but they were definitely hard when I got them. Who in the world thinks demanding a tip from any customer like that is acceptable?? You want a tip? Here's one: I'm very sorry you are so obviously put out for having to do your job, but don't act like that overpriced food was free or that you did me some kind of favor when I paid close to $20 for a biscuit I could play baseball with, eggs that were cooked wrong--again--and hash browns I could suck up grease with a straw from. The only good things in that (very common) order was the bacon and the pre-made gravy. Smh. So disappointing because so many who work there are super and most of the time the eggs are good. I don't know who that girl was, but she lost a lot of business for her employer with that despicable, unacceptable behavior. Worst part, is that I'd meant to tell her to leave a tip and just forgot. the "chicken tenders" were more like chicken fingers. The French fries were dry and unflavored. The waffles were dry, and the syrup was watered down. The "sweet" tea wasn't sweet at all. Honestly kinda gross. This place use to be my favorite place to go but now it isn't. and they keep taking the only good enjoyable things off the menu. The tables are gross, and not even wiped down. They didn't even have many customers and still couldn't keep up with the 2 people in the restaurant. We also didn't get refills not once. This was about 4pm on a Tuesday. Food was horrible. Our family was only one there. (Three adults and two kids 9&13) We saw three people working. Waitress came and got our orders. My son got the mushroom melt, he got a plain patty that was overcooked and cold. When I called (five times loudly because his calls were ignored) and told her, she literally went over and got some out of the cooler and brought it to him. Two family members got the country fried steak, one was cold one was way too salty. My elderly aunt asked for another biscuit, hers was too hard (Like wood) after that, the waitress made sure we knew she was ignoring us. The waitress went about making her lunch and keeping her back turned to us the whole time. Two other workers popped in and out of the back but never spoke or looked at us. All of the food was bad. Service was worse. We will never be back. Also,They we're out of mashed patatoes, iced tea, lemonade, and ice. read more

Always has been a great place to eat, with the atmosphere and wifi, etc. but what won me over today was the service. Our waitress Sara, jumped right in to getting us our table, bringing silverware and was ready to take our order. She returned shortly to inform me that they were out of one of the ingredients used for my order, but explained they were happy to substitute with something else, and thanked me for understanding so easily. She was an absolute delight and I hope to see her next time I visit. Highly recommend the dessert waffles. read more

Had an absolutely horrible experience last night. We went there after my grandmothers funeral and was met with cold food and a hateful employee. Nikki was rude and hateful towards us because we complained that our food was cold. The employees tried the old excuse of "oh we've just had a bad day because we're out of syrup." Well, I guarantee ours had been a much worse day. There's no need at all for an employee to be so hateful towards customers. I've worked in customer service for 10 years, you leave your bad day at the door when you come to work and try your best to make sure your customers have a great experience. To top it all off, when I came to the register to pay Nikki looked at another employee then back towards where we were paying and said "Well I'm just waiting for a smart comment." That REALLY crossed the line. I will never go to Huddle House as long as that sorry excuse for a human being is working there. read more

Went there to eat once and my daughter's hamburger bun was molded! YUCK. The mashed potatoes (if you can call them that) were nothing but instant potatoes with no salt, no butter, nada. Very nasty. We chalked it up to one of those "one time" deals and a couple of months later said we would try it one more time. Well, again her bun was MOLDED. Ridiculous. The food is good and servers are very friendly and attentive to their tables. But they only have 1 table with 2 chairs for the bigger people like myself. They were shut down in February for a remodel and everyone was talking and hoping we would see more chairs and less booths. NOT.!!! All I've seen was some new light fixtures and new stainless on the walls. they replaced some ceiling tiles and left the old ones there and you definitely can tell when you look up. read more
