We stopped in for lunch while traveling through the area. The food was fresh, delicious and quick service. We had a double hamburger with onion rings and the chicken tenders, which tasted homemade. Closed. We hard a bit of a problem locating it even though Waze said we were there but I guess once you have closed it really isn't a big deal that folks can't find you. As it turned out there was a nice sign out front and maybe reopening is not too far away. Sorry we missed eating there. read more

This is a small town diner with a great staff. When traveling we always start our day with a large breakfast. The hotel staff recommended the Diner and it did not disappoint! The hash browns , eggs, sausage, bacon and pancakes were delicious. The waitress made unsweet tea for us when we ordered and was not out out at all to do so. My wife and I visiting Kentucky from Florida and chanced upon this gem of a restaurant. We had the country fried steak, fried potatoes, mustard greens as well as the pork chops on day one. Everything is homemade and the service is first-rate, making you feel like part of the family. We also enjoyed the homemade pies (coconut cream and apple pie a la mode). And the owner is even sweeter than the pie! We complimented her on her wonderful cooking and she was as humble as they come. You can't go wrong at the Happy Days Diner, with even some great vintage photographs and decor on the walls. We'd go back tomorrow, but they are closed on Saturday and Sunday's. Those mustard greens and fried potatoes only available on Thursdays, so plan ahead. read more
