However, we were seated promptly (party of 8) in the lower level of the restaurant. Server was attentive and very nice. She shared her experiences with us on being a local and was genuinely interested with our conversation. Food was good, we ordered various pizza pies and all came out relatively quick. Cooked evenly and well, flavorful and perfect temperature. 1 person in our party is gluten free so they ordered a bunless burger which was also cooked well and tasty. Angelos is a great little spot, with outstanding wood fired pizzas, calzones and pasta dishes. Burgers and sandwiches are terrific too. Nice little beer selection both domestic and craft brews. Rip off!!! Food was mediocre at best. Service was slow and meals were not all served together. We had a party of 6 and two of us were finished before the other meals came: The worst part is they don't give you a check like a normal restaurant. The server holds a card reader and asks for payment right away. The tip amounts are preset on the card reader starting at 20% and up. My wife, mother-in-law & I went to Angelo's for an appetizer for a quick snack while we were in the area. We ordered the Angelo premium sampler. The wait staff was very nice & the atmosphere had some rustic charm. However, we waited for 30 minutes to get the one, & only one, appetizer that we ordered. The table that was sat behind us ordered an appetizer and they had theirs in 15 minutes. It wasn't the worst we've had, but it wasn't the best. Just moved to this town while my gf is in school and this is definitely going to be a regular spot. They have darts, decent amount of indoor seating, and huge patio. Great spot to grab some inexpensive cold beers (good variety of IPAs and other craft beers on taps along with your basic domestics) and some bar food. We had a pizza for the table - no complaints. A special shoutout to the owner. We came here with my gf and her parents and when we walked in we were informed they were shutting down for the long 4th of July weekend. He told us to try Gap Creek down the street and if they weren't open he'd open up the kitchen for us. There's no way we would have made him do that even if Gap Creek was closed but I'll never forget that and it was a great first impression of this business. read more

My GF & I went over last Saturday to try this place out & wow, it literally blew my mind! Talk about quality food & a nice place just to hangout & have a bit to eat. It's great! 1st if all Angelo's has a Top Tier Bar area with anything anyone wld ever want to drink. Plenty of flat screens mounted all around. And just a skip over to the restaurant area will take you and you're lived one to a magical place I tell ya what. With a roaring fireplace and old stone work & brick work for the floor wrapped in very old wood siding, thts his place is absolutely perfect for a bit to eat or a super nice date night. I love how the sitting is on two different levels. There is LIVE music on the weekends and there's even a game area with a Billiards poor table and the best shuffle board you ever played. My GF and I played it for about 45min and even lost trk of time. Lol. It was very fun. I wld be remiss if I didn't mention the pizza! It is incredible! It's cooked with a stone brick oven & is some of the best quality I have ever eaten. I had the stuffed crust and when I went back I had the thin crust and it was just amazing. Just some of the absolute best around. So if you're looking for the PERFECT place to either hangout or have a date night or even to just take out the wife and kids then Angelo's is the answer! There's even an AIR BNB upstairs with over 1100sq ft of room. Very affordable and very nice. The room even has its own pool table as well. Very cool. We were visiting the area from CT and saw this restaurant online and we gave it a try. The bartender was awesome - great drinks and I believe the owner welcomed us and also brought us some smoked corn beef to sample. Such a nice gesture. My husband and I came here this afternoon and met up with a few of our neighbors for a adult beverage! We hung out in the bar area and the vibe was amazing ! The bartender was a sweetheart as was the owner as he Checked on us as he walked by ! After a bit we Went over to the art and wine festival and was feeling hungry so we decided to come back and get a bite to eat ! We ordered the large antipasto salad which was delicious- absolutely delicious and also ordered the All meat pizza. Super cute place super terrible (slow) service and not so great food. Took 2 hours from start to finish. They messed up my husbands sandwich and then took an hour to remake. A sandwich. And then forgot his fries. (And it looked like the sandwich had been sitting under the heat lamp for some time) Not worth the time or the money. Our entire meal should have been comped. The building was rustic and cool. I think if your looking for a place to hang out and drink, this would be a good place for it. As for the pizza, I've had better almost everywhere I have tried it. My husband had a pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato fries that he said was fine. That said, we went late afternoon and only one other table was taken but our food seemed to take quite a long time and did not come out very hot. The meal ended, not with a check, but an opportunity to swipe my card and select a tip on the server's hand held device. The tip choices were 20,25 and 35%. The service was efficient but minimal and I didn't get lemon with my sweet tea refill, so it was 20% and two stars from me. One star for the building and one for the efficient service. read more

Do your wallet a favor and go to PTR right across the street that has 100 times better food then angelo's. 1) We didn't get our food until an hour later... even though we were the only ones dining it! We didn't order Chicago Deep Dish pizza that actually takes 40 minutes to make. This is some TN backyard pizza. I have no idea how it can take them 60 minutes to make our food when the place is dead. Speaking of pizza, it was so soggy we couldn't even hold it in our hands without it falling apart. They should just go to Walmart and buy some frozen pizzas and throw it in the oven. It will be faster and it tastes better. 2) Once we got our pizza, it took another 5 minutes to get us the plates. My friend didn't want to wait any longer and ate the pizza on the napkin. Which was a horrible idea because the napkin just absorbed the soggy pizza. 3) Our waiter was horrible checking up on us. We all ran out of the water and we couldn't find the waiter to ask for more. There wasn't anyone at the front register either. We could have dined and dashed if we wanted too. Our tables/menus were also sticky. 4) To put the cherry on top, she got our receipts mixed up. I don't drink alcohol, yet it was on my receipt. Instead of going back and printing out the other receipt, she asked my friend who actually ordered it to just pay me $3 later and I can just charge it on my card. read more

Had a great meal this evening at Angelo's in the Gap. Ambiance is fabulous. Love the vintage vibe. The service by Amber was awesome and she was so helpful regarding my dietary needs.
