We were looking for a good breakfast place. They definitely have good food but it's more of a chain than a mom and pop place which is totally fine. It was packed and we went on a weekday. I had the bacon sausage stuffed hash brown. It was smaller than I expected. I was hoping for leftovers but I ended up eating it all at the restaurant. Definitely a good choice though because you get it all from hash browns to eggs to meat and gravy. The staff was very friendly and keeping up with all the people. They have Huddle Houses all over so be sure to check for one near you! read more

When our party of four arrived, there were six other customers in the restaurant. We were greeted immediately and our drink order was taken. Shortly after, our order was taken. We had a few questions and they were answered promptly. We love the extensive menu and that we can order breakfast at any time of the day. Renesha took our orders, cooked our food, AND served our food. She was a pleasure to talk to. I believe HH in Martin could do well if they were able to hire enough employees and work them a decent amount of hours. If you have an issue with your order, I believe it could be brought to Renesha's attention and she would make it right. She is a manager for HH. We have eaten at HH in Martin several times. One thing I can say, if you're willing to wait awhile at other restaurants, you shouldn't expect fast food level of service at a sit down restaurant. They prepare every order as it is placed, not ahead to 'warm up.' We didn't mind spending time together as a family and talking until our food was ready. Wife and I went to lunch today the atmosphere was GREAT! The staff was WONDERFUL! We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. Our server was very FRIENDLY. I ordered the chopped steak with mushroom gravy and the wife order the turkey bacon ranch and the food was EXCELLENT and cooked PERFECT. It was an all around good experience today. Side salad and my mom's Chef salad had wilted brown lettuce. They didn't have any boiled eggs made apparently, and they thought we wouldn't notice, so they didn't bother saying anything until we asked about it. We waited 40 minutes to get our food even though there was barely anybody in the restaurant. After the long wait they present me with a plate of charred/burnt steak tips, and burnt mushrooms. My son's mac n cheese was so salty it was inedible. The kids burgers were dry and over cooked and literally black and hard on the edges. We were informed by the wait staff that the cook was in a bad mood. What a disaster. The wait staff was pleasant enough and thankfully comped us the steak tips and Mac cheese. Terrible!! First time I went in there, multiple tables were dirty and as soon as I walked in she said she couldnt sit us for a hour but then proceeded to have a full on conversation with another employee about Zaxbys . She had plenty of time to at least clean one table. Second time I went there, When we tried to go inside, the doors were locked but people were inside. Went to go back to my car and seen an employee sitting outside smoking playing on her phone. I ask her if they were closed and she said "yes, we don't have enough staff." If your doing pancakes and eggs on a daily basis it's got to be hard to mess them up. I've heard of huddle house so I figured I'd give them a chance. I got the Oreo crunch breakfast with sunny side eggs and bacon. I should've listened to my frowny face bacon, because keep in mind that I love pancakes it's one of my favorites for breakfast but most of the bites I took tasted burnt and I know most of you reading this are probably asking "well if you didn't like it why didn't you say something?" I wasn't going to say something because at first I asked for the Benedict but they didn't have hollandaise so I didn't want to eat up any more time with a refire of the same thing or choosing a different menu item. The eggs tasted a bit overdone too. When you bust open a sunny side egg you expect the yolk to flow everywhere and make a mess on the plate right? That's the fun of busting the yolk. There was no flow on the plate. I think at least in my opinion the eggs were a cross between over easy and sunny side. But the service was friendly and the bacon was good. read more

our baseball team and parents came here for a late night meal after our high school baseball game . the service and team were awesome in helping us fit, get in late and serving us.. the food was good too.. lots of options but would recommend the barbacue options over other stuff.. burgers had good reviews from our parents too.. blt as well. it is tough for any restaurant to handle 40-50 people but they did it well! beer on tap and pitchers were great and we enjoyed it! they even stayed open a little later to allow us to finish up and get on our way.. great place, would definitely visit again! read more

Only reason I give one star is because I can't give zero. The worst service. EVERY single time food takes almost an hour, if not longer regardless if it's empty or not. Food is mediocre at best. You're lucky if your food is hot when you get it. Keep trying to give it a chance because other locations apart of the chain have been good. Sadly the experience is always the same at this location. Despite the unpleasant reviews, I've always had a good experience at this huddle house. You seat yourself and the servers have always come to my table in a timely manner. My drink stays refilled and the food comes fairly fast and is warm. I usually order breakfast items, and they are always good. read more

Single worst place to eat in this entire town. Worst service I've ever seen in my entire life. Seriously, there needs to be a sign at the door that reads, "Abandon all hope of eating all ye who enter here". I can't stress this enough. If you get waited on here, either you made eye contact with one of the servers just long enough for them to feel awkward about passing your table a SEVENTH time without stopping, or you're part leprechaun with four-leaf clovers growing out of your backside. Staff is rude and makes no bones about having zero interest in waiting on you. The restaurant scene in Martin has improved greatly in the last 3-4 years. Huddle House is NOT one of the reasons. Upon entering the diner it was filled with a haze of grease smoke. We seated ourselves, and the waitress took a while to acknowledge us. The waitress took our drink and food order and began assisting other people. It took almost 1 hour to get our food. The waitress never visited the table, if we needed anything we had to flag her down. Once we got the food, it was very clear that my hash browns had a fly in them. I motioned for her to come back to the table and informed her of the fly in my food. She asked if I wanted them recooked, I said no I do not want anything and told her just to take my entire plate back to the kitchen and I no longer want anything. She replied "ok" and walked off. We went here one night a table of 5 we all order and two of us ordered milk shakes. First no one sat us 2nd the cook was using swear words very vulgar. He was filth covered. 3rd our waitress had us and one other person and couldn't be found to get our drink order or anything. When she finally did and we placed our order out of the five of us four of our plates where wrong. She even asked what we had to drink and still have us all wrong drink ordered. She brought one milk shake and handed it one of us and said we have enough to make one an hour and a half in to it we see a man come in she lights up runs to him kiss him and hand him a milk shake. Came in at 11am on a Sunday. Waited for a table to be cleaned for 20 minutes then waited another 15 minutes to place our drink orders. Then the couple behind us got the table next to us only to be told it would be at least a hour wait because they didn't have any dishes clean. As I went to the restroom I noticed piles of dishes in the floor and the employees standing around and talking. After they refused roughly 20 customers "because of no dishes" , we left after waiting for a hour. read more

This place has improved so much over the last couple of months. Better than the other places you go to in town and wait forever. Just because the place is crowded, doesn't mean you are getting good food... it just makes the wait time seem less. Today I called in an French Toast Platter (comes with eggs and bacon), a chocolate chip pancake, and a sweet tea. When I got there, not one single person was in the front for me to get the food I called in. There were also other people in line who ate there. After a few minutes of waiting to pay, people started leaving (without paying). Finally a young lady came to the front and said "Sorry I been talking to my friends in da back". I paid 16 dollars for burnt yet soggy French Toast, eggs, no bacon and two Oreo pancakes. And EIGHT spoons. I've never been one to complain but come on!! Get some better employees!! -Ps.
