Avoid at all costs. Regardless of service provided (which wasn't that great...I just had to have a root canal redone because they missed one of the roots) their office management and billing are awful. They were quick to send an outstanding bill to collections after they encountered an issue with the online system for my insurance. Rather than troubleshoot the issue with my insurance company they directly sent the bill to collections for me to pay. I spent countless hours trying to get their office to submit my bill to my insurance company. They finally did but there was no reason I should have had to spend so much time getting them to do their job. read more

I feel misled and frustrated because they gave me dentures that don't fit my mouth--they are too big, and I have trouble with them. I feel cheated by both the dentist and my insurance company. After having 17 teeth extracted, my blood pressure dropped to 80/50, and they sent me on my way. To make matters worse, the dentist was performing a root canal on another patient at the same time while charging me $1,158, even though I had already paid my bill in full. I believe they lie, steal, and deceive people. I can't wait for my appointment on the 10th to be over. I'm contacting the dental board and my lawyer because my insurance company told me I was lucky to be alive after the extraction. It would be shocking if I had the time to document everything this dentist put me through. No one should be allowed to treat patients like this. read more

I have called several times trying to make an appointment only to get a recording. I leave a message and NEVER get a return phone call. Once I finally got an appointment they charged my FSA account without my consent or providing me a receipt to substantiate the charge. I am now on my 4th phone call attempt and to get a receipt. Each time I have been promised they would provide one. My FSA account has been locked for usage for over a month until I can produce a receipt. This being Dec it is likely I will lose my balance in the account if Hudak can't backup their charge. Once this is resolved I will be going elsewhere, where I can rely on better service read more

Just got all four of my wisdom teeth removed. Yes you read it right ALL FOUR I was so nervous and scared. When they told me they didn't do anesthesia I was almost out the door. But they reassured me I would be fine & would not feel anything. & I didn't I was so numb. But I wasn't high like I seen most videos of people being after getting their teeth pulled. I was perfectly fine. They also gave me a bag with more gauzes, a tool I put water in to flush out any food that get it them areas. My prescriptions and a list of " Do's & Don't's " to do & a ice pack if I get any swelling. They was very nice and made sure I felt comfortable. I would definitely recommend this dentistry. My dentist was Dr. Jia Hun Dai Only con was I had an appointment at 10:30am I arrived at 10:15am and wasn't seen until 11:30am But I guess it was worth the wait. read more

Treatment was always good but the business office was unresponsive. And as a result, I was responsible for a bill that my insurance company said was an error on Hudec's part (the way my service was billed). God, just incompetent staff. I have never had so much confusion about the date and location of dentist appointments. I don't think these people intend to be liars but it comes across as very disingenuous. I've been trying to get my routine cleaning for about a month, mind you this is something that was scheduled in January but the hygienist at another location decided to take a vacation during the week in which she scheduled appointments with her clients. The following appointments have been pushed further and further with incorrect dates being given along the way, as if to string me along. Dr. Jia Chun Dai completely changed my view of getting a wisdom tooth extracted. This was my 2nd time getting a wisdom tooth extracted. My 1st experience was through at different Hudec office 5 years ago but this location and Doctor has bettered my experience 1000% the 2nd time around. Worst dental office. Very Unprofessional and untrustworthy made my tooth fall our and up charged me to repair it.

So I had a crown fixed the end of 2022. Everything went well. I really like the dentist and hygienist. The young ladies at the front desk are usually pretty good, a bit rushed and lightly unprofessional but usually they could be worse. Then I got a bill for the work that I did not understand. I called the office and found out just how unprofessional they could be. The young lady was very rushed, talking to her coworker about what to get for lunch at like 3pm while I was on the phone with her (not even a "wait just a minute"). She said over and over that it was the electric toothbrush, that I paid for and was not to be applied to insurance, that was the reason I owed money. When I cancelled my upcoming appointment for a bridge because I was not getting the service I asked for she asked if I wanted Mr. Hudec's email address. I assured her that I would want people to know why I was walking away and that I would add this review. Can you imagine after spending about $480.00 after insurance for a crown and still getting a close to $60.00 bill afterwards that I would set up a much more expensive bridge with them??? read more

I went to this dental office for a cleaning and check up. I was told I had cavities and needed fillings. So I came back the next day for service. Mentioned to the front desk that I had covid back in March as I answered their questions, they took my temperature and made me sign a waiver in regards to catching said virus during the procedure. I was allowed to enter a procedure room and they began prepping me. The dentist came in and administered the anesthetic to numb my jaw. I sat there for a longer than normal time and then another person I had not seen comes in and says they discussed what the girls in the front said and asked if I had had covid 19. I said "yes, back in March." They then came back and said they would need to see two negative covid tests in order to service me because the dentist was pregnant and didn't want to take the risk. Dentist name is Dr. Massari. So I was sent home with a numb jaw and nothing done. I had a stiff jaw and neck for two days for no reason. I am a flight attendant and took a leave for 3 months to protect my family and others. Now I don't know anyone's personal finance situation but it doesn't really make sense to be pregnant and work in people mouths each and everyday but then be scared because of someone that had Covid almost 3 months ago. I feel this was extremely unprofessional and even though I've never had an allergic reaction to an anesthetic I was sent home so fast there was no time to monitor my reaction to it. It's borderline negligent. This is also the second hudec dental that I've gone to and the first was in Garfield Heights, it was unpleasant as well and I was never serviced. Each time I go to these offices it's because I'm on Medicaid due to being away from work and it seems as though that may be how they get a lot of their business. I wonder what the insurance is coded as when you go in for a cleaning and get nothing but still pay a co pay. read more

DO NOT GO TO HUDEC DENTAL ON BROADVIEW AND PEARL!!!I had to get a tooth extracted and I haven't been miserable like this in my entire life. Posted to google and I'm going to post it to as many places as I can! I went to my appointment Wednesday 7-8-20 and paid the $4 "Covid fee". Was taken into a room and numbed up. Sat there for 20 minutes waiting for the oral surgeon to come back and pull my tooth. He came in and literally had one hand on the top of my face and the other trying to get the tooth out so aggressively that he was shaking me and the chair and I had to have him stop to re-numb me because I felt tremendous pain. Got re-numbed and he went to town again shaking vigilantly to get the tooth loose. Finally got it out and he said it was impacted. I was sent home with prescriptions for antibiotics and ibuprofen 800mg every 8 hours. The ibuprofen has done absolutely nothing to help with my face, teeth and gums throbbing so I called the office yesterday Friday 7-10-20 to see if I can be seen because i shouldn't be so miserable. Was told by the African American receptionist "well you did have a tooth pulled so it's going to hurt" and to call my regular dentist office because the oral surgeon is only there Wednesday and Thursday. Called my dentist office and explained the situation where I've been miserable for 2 days and they said call the oral surgeons office back since they did the oral surgery they should see me. Called Hudec office back and the same receptionist said there's nothing she can do since surgeon isn't there but just 2 days a week. I hung up on her frustrated that there's nothing the office can do to help me manage my pain and at least make me more comfortable. Receptionist called back and said "we got disconnected". I said no I hung up cuz I'm pissed and in a bunch of pain. She told me to call the surgeons cell number and leave a message. I did. He called back and had me text a pic of my mouth where the extraction was so I did. I explained to him my face, teeth and gums throb non stop, I can only open my mouth around 1/2 inch or so, my face is swollen and his response to all of that was try not to talk too much that will help it get better in 2-3 days. My question is why fight with a impacted tooth and not just cut and pull it out? Then send me home with ibuprofen knowing I'm in pain yet the answer was try not to talk too much. I've had close to 10 surgeries (for different things) and this by far is the absolute worst pain I've been in. I DO NOT recommend going here for tooth extractions. They do not care if you're comfortable and just want you to get in and out. If you're in pain several days later owell that's your problem. read more

If I could give them -10 stars, I would. Do not use them!!! They are liars and thieves. They insisted that I have a $780 scaling done before anyone would touch my teeth. They also insisted that two of my teeth, in the back, would have to be pulled, which meant that I would have to spend $5,000 to have implant pins put in and then another $980 for two crowns. I found a decent dentist that applied two crowns to the existing teeth and it looks great. I was told they are a chain and work on commission. I believe it. I started having doubts when I asked him how much that all would cost and he rolled his eyes at me. He insisted that the oral surgeon wouldn't put the pins in without the scaling. I saw one of the best in Westlake and they had no problem with doing the implants. They also claimed, eight of my teeth were diseased and needed medication @$20 per tooth. When I looked at the scaling estimate they had charged me for two applications of the meds saying that, "it will take two, to get rid of the infection". My new dentist found TWO TEETH that could use ONE application of medication, if I decide to have the scaling. BEWARE OF HUDEC!!!! read more

The staff all need to be fired and replace with people who actually have common sense and the correct training. All of the staff is unprofessional and horrible. They've created a sense of fear for the dentist for me and I've never had to deal with such problems. they have no idea what they are doing they all act confused with what is going on. This place has come completely downhill and needs to be shut down, Brian should never have the title DR. He's cocky and rude and condescending. He thinks he knows it all can't step away from his big ego long enough to listen to anyone's issues with their teeth. They constantly send in assistants to do their work. And they don't even know what they are supposed to be doing, everyone is confused. I've never had this many issues with this office before. I'd never take anyone here nor suggest this place to anyone. Ever. You all need help. read more

She called the office I was supposed to be at and saw if they'd still see me. She gave me the address and was just genuinely kind, accommodating and warm! Dr Dai was fantastic. I was really uptight for my extraction but he made it very easy and pain free. Next day I didn't even have any pain just some soreness around the gums and no need for pain meds. Only complaint I had was the wait once I got there. I had a 9:30 am extraction, did not get into a chair until 10:30 and the had to wait until 11:30 for my extraction. I suppose there was a more complicated patient before me but being as nervous as I was, that was a bit long. I would most certainly go back if I needed another tooth extracted though. read more

I will not recommend this dentist and i won't be returning as well, i have been coming here for about 1 year and I never had a issue but today is the day, i scheduled a cleaning for my teeth about 2 months ago for today, when i booked it i was told my insurance would cover the cleaning which is fine either way i don't mind paying because i get my teeth cleaned more then once a year but when i booked i was told insurance would cover. So today i called to confirm my appt time for today & i spoke to abby, she immediately told me i should call back to schedule a appt after march because that's when my insurance will pay for my cleaning & that i do not need to come in today any longer, i then told her that i will be coming in for my cleaning just like i booked months ago , she then says oh well there will be a charge for this cleaning and i told her that that's fine i am nor poor i can afford a cleaning , i then let her know how rude and nasty that approach was to tell me not to come in because my type of insurance (care source ) wouldn't cover this cleaning , it really is a slap in the face to just dismiss a customer because you feel like they can't afford a cleaning based off there insurance , additionally i have paid for many cleanings at this same location out of pocket before , no customer should be judged based off there healthcare , race or sex or religion , ,that is just bad business. I then let her know that if my appointment was cancelled why didn't anyone call me this morning considering this appointment has been booked and i also confirmed the appt via txt on saturday from a txt hudec dental sent me , she had no answer and then told me the manger would call me when she gets time. i am very disturbed by this and I will be filling a complaint with the company as well. read more

Had an appointment at 2:30pm. I wasn't seen until 4:30pm unfortunately which absolutely sucked. Dr. Dai extracted my wisdom teeth but I didn't feel a thing and it was super quick so kudos to him! As soon as he was finished, he said Okay, and walked out to another room...no instructions, no You're good together! Do you gave questions? Nothing. Office staff was nice. Wait was very long. The male who was working the front desk had a poor attitude. He asked if I had pain, I said no and he looked at me like I had three heads. Upon him further questioning why I was there (which I didn't feel was necessary for a front desk attendant), I said I was there to make sure I didn't have a cavity which again I seemed to be further judged upon. Also they didn't seem to be prepared for my appointment. I made the appointment a day in advance because it was the only day I had free this week. The front desk attendant made sure to let me know that I only made the appointment a day in advance. Also I understand kids have to go to the dentist but I would not recommend handing out loud clicking toys. Not everyone wants to listen to repetitive noises. The physicians assistant was very nice. The doctor was nice too but I maybe only spent 5 minutes with her, which seemed quite short. I also didn't understand why you couldn't schedule a cleaning and doctors visit together? At my past dentist, I'd be scheduled for a cleaning then the doctor would come in afterwards for the exam. Never went back & sought out specialist that found the old fashioned packing used had been pushed through tooth to soft tissue. No wonder I was in pain! I have been going here for 3 yrs. I'm changing dentists now because of a very big breach of trust. Hudec quoted me a price for implants and then I was charged $4,000.00 MORE than the quote. When confronted with this I got no help figuring out why. Hudec made the teeth for the implants but, another dentist ( through Hudec) did extractions and implants. Also, implants were not correct the 1st time . I had to insist they redo them. It's a shame because I liked going there and the people are very nice but, I felt ripped off. read more

A friend recommend Hudec Dental for me and I have to say it was the WORST experience ever!! They don't care about the patient and the patient there is just a number. On top of that I went to their Cleveland branch on broadview to extract my wisdom teeth to find out that there was at least another patient who had an appointment with the same doctor at the same time as me! After that they made me wait around an hour and a half for my appointment. Finally when it was time to do the procedure, the doctor didn't even tell me about the complications of wisdom teeth extraction or anything at all! The doctor was like do you want to extract all of them and I said yes if that's what I should do and he started working. He didn't even explain anything after the procedure he just did the procedure and went. The hygienist was trying to rush me out because they were late in closing and was barley answering my questions about the medication I will take. After the procedure I got a voice-mail from them about a follow up but when I tried to call them back apparently no one knows that I exist or that they called me. I made several phone calls until I gave up. In the end WORST EXPERIENCE and I would never recommend them to anyone!! read more

My mother and my disabled brother were patients here for less than a year. My mother's first experiences were positive and she was happy with the treatment she received. Until she needed a root canal. A botched procedure that left her with pain, infection and nerve damage and required a second root canal (at another dental clinic). With the help of her insurance company she tried to get her money back. In the interim she took my disabled brother for his next appointment at Hudec, and mysteriously his appointment was no longer in the books. I really suspect that was in retribution for disputing the bill for my mom's botched root canal. Needless to say they never went back. read more

Went in yesterday for an extraction.. I walked up to the window and without even looking up a tall African American woman said "do you have an appointment?" like REALLY snotty and did not even say hi or anything! Then she took me back to the room and told me to sit down... didn't even say it nicely... and then her attitude went on for a few minutes and that's when I got up and went out front and asked for a different assistant.. I thought I'll be damned if this girl is going anywhere near my mouth! I never in my life thought I would have to jump out of a dentist chair to go out front to complain about how I was being treated.. I finally got a very nice lady by the name of Jennie.. she was very sweet and talked to me and made me feel a lot more at ease.. I don't know what the first girls problem was but she should definitely not be working in a dentist office around patients with that attitude!! About 5 yrs ago I went there needing a simple molar extraction. I went in at 10 am and was given a shot to numb. I did not feel any numbness, and the female dentist continued to shoot me up every 10-15 minutes for 2 hours, with no numbing success. She got angry with me, like I can fight off anesthesia, and accused me of not cooperating with her dozen injections. Not my fault she couldn't hit the nerve properly. I've never had a problem getting numb prior. I always feel it within 30 secs. A dozen shots later I was told to leave and that the work would need to be done by an oral surgeon. My face was so swollen from all of the trauma that people asked me immediately what had happened to me. Because I still needed to have this simple extraction, I immediately went down the street from their office, to the MetroHealth dentist office, because I am a County employee and that is where my health insurance is. Metro, the supposed indigent dentistry took one look at me and asked what the hell happened to me. I told them and they let me see a dentist right away. He told me because of all of the interior trauma from a dozen shots, that he had to wait 24 hrs before he could do the extraction. I went back the next day, was numb with one shot and the tooth was extracted immediately, with absolutely no issues. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. The doctor or intern or whatever she was was a hack. Hudec hires all of these just-graduated students from Case and then lets them get their experience working on us. That's fine, but who was over-seeing her, especially since she was trying the same thing over and over for 2 hours with no success??? No other doctor tried to help or assist facilitating this very simple procedure. They just left me alone with her to continue to be shot up well beyond the limit of anethesia that should be given in one sitting. It took 4 months for all of the anethesia to wear off from my tongue and cheek. So what if the staff is friendly; they're not the ones doing the dental work. read more
