I really enjoyed this family visit to the aquarium. A little cheesy, but cute. Lots of big and well-lit, clean aquariums for my little girl to get up close and personal and look and learn. I loved the Doctor fish area where you can basically get a fish manicure - I've never done anything like that before and it was sooooo cool! The second floor is more interactive with the touching stations for jellyfish, feed and pet the stingrays and more. I loved the small toddler play area for my daughter and the interactive water station. They also have different pets and shows at different times all day long where you can learn about all sorts of things - while we were there it was a leopard gecko which was so cute! It's not very big - but, they make good use of the space they have and it's located in the beautiful Union Station area with dining and other things to do nearby with plenty of paid parking. There is the St Louis Farris Wheel, a soda fountain, and carousel as well as a train. You can buy a pass for the adventure ropes course up above and the selfie museum as a package to save some money. We didn't this time, but I do want to come back to the selfie museum in the future - it's only $10 per person and looks cute and fun.

Also, it's very open and I can see all parts of the park so even thought it's not fenced, it just feels safe. The kids love that part of it is a tree that you climb inside. Bathrooms are close so great for potty training toddlers who have to go RIGHT NOW. There are 4 picnic tables in the pavilion, 2 drinking fountains and some sunshades with benches. We had our kids' birthday party there and it went extremely well. Super affordable to rent! The only downside is one parking lot is a flat trek to the playground but a longer one and the other parking lot is fairly close but you have to walk down a big hill and so then also back up. So anyone who is more limited with ambulation or someone who fatigues very quickly may not find this playground particularly accessible. Otherwise it is a super fun and simple playground!

There are four picnic benches under the shelter, where the bathrooms are also located.

I was pleased to be able to leave the project there, partially finished, rather than rush through the project during the workshop. When going back to complete a workshop project, you do not have to pay a studio fee since that was worked into the initial price. I was able to go and finish gluing my project, using as much of the tiles/stained glass/porcelain as I wanted. I then took home my project as well as grout and a small kit containing a cloth, cuts of newspaper, and a few others things to grout at home, although I could have returned to the studio a third time to do that there if I wanted. Many members of my family go as well and have all expressed the same gratitude for the opportunity to create something new in a comfortable place at our own pace. Project prices (walk-in or workshop) aren't cheap but neither are the materials they provide. Everything I've made there has held up well and they rotate available projects. If you're unsure about project costs or studio fees, ask them before you start. They can recommend projects within your budget and explain the studio fee. They're not out to price gouge, running an art studio with quality materials and trained staff isn't cheap. I typically spend $70 per mosaic project/workshop, if you're looking for a rough estimate. They also sell cute kits for small mosaic projects to do at home, which make a great gift. I highly recommend checking out Yucandu. (thanks Yucandu team!)
