Me and a friend went here to bowl. It has been a very long time since I last went here.Their alcoholic drinks are pretty decent and fair price. The fries and Philly steak burger are pretty good. One hour would be about 2.5 games for 2 people at an average rate for bowling. They also have a pool table for a few to play. The decor is outdated but still fun to play here.

Some friends and I decided to go bowling at 6pm on a Thursday. Unbeknownst to us, Thursday nights are among one of the most popular times to bowl. This made it particularly difficult to find a bowling ally with available lanes. Initially, we tried going to Pin Up Bowl (Delmar Loop) and Olivette Lanes (University City) without success due to their extensive wait times. A quick Google search revealed a nearby third option we hadn't initially considered: Tropicana Lanes. Tropicana Lanes is located in Richmond Heights, just minutes away from the St. Louis Galleria. It is a large, 52-lane facility that includes concessions, a bar/lounge, lockers and a viewing deck. When we arrived, there were 2 lanes available. For the 3 of us to bowl for 1 hour (+ shoe rental fees) it was exactly $50. During that time period, we were able to play just over 2 games. The facility was well clean and well maintained despite holding the title as one of St. Louis's oldest bowling allies. Overall, (despite not winning) I enjoyed my experience at Tropicana Lanes. I am glad that we ventured out to try something new!

This bowling alley brings me back to childhood memories. Classic and simple. First come first served for bowling (no reservations). Saturday nights get their before 5 PM The bar area will take you back to the 80s with classic rock, pool tables, and smoking allowed. It's contained so still super family friendly. Central areas has an arcade for kids (bring quarters).

Wow dude, fun for all at Tropicana Lanes! Great afternoon bowling--4 adults for 2 hours about $90 total including shoe rental! Good deals on buckets and pitchers of beer. Bumpers and ball slides for kids

First time here. Nice place. Large bowling alley. 52 lanes. The gentleman at the counter was super sweet. Ms. Tina at the bar was immaculate. TGIF. Double Double hunty. She was not playing with us hunty. We bowled for an hour and we bowled 3.5 games and i whooped a$$. Nice spacious bar. We didn't try any food but they definitely have a menu worth trying. We just had plans to eat after so we didn't eat.

I hadn't been here in a few years, so I was looking forward to playing (losing) a few games with my partner. The venue is large and spacious with 52 lanes across two sides of the building. Our shoe rental attendant was nice and lively. There's a bar at the front and Tina, our bartender, served up some nice slightly stiff drinks. The bathroom was clean. They have the standard bowling software that projects on the screens above your lanes. We will definitely be back for to get beat again.

    Good times!!

Went here while in St. Louis on vacation. It was awesome! Old school bowling alley! Cold beer, fried food and great service!! Lebowski would be proud!! Thank you Nash(worker) for an amazing evening!!

The staff was so friendly and professional, making us feel at ease throughout the party! Some tips: I bought an extra hour of time to decorate for a 40th birthday. They give you 20 minutes before your start time to decorate but I went all out with decor so it was worth the extra time! I had a Sunday afternoon party with 60 guests including adults and children. One party platter and 6 pizzas was more than enough to feed everyone and I was able to bring my own cupcakes and pasta salad (you can bring vegetarian options). I covered the bar tab and it really wasn't that bad for a Sunday party. Make a playlist! They can hook up to Spotify so it definitely made the party more exciting with a themed playlist. Tip the staff! They worked hard to help make our day special so we made sure to give them 30% gratuity on food and drink. Wheelchairs can make it through the front door and into the bowling alley! Love the vintage vibe and it's so much cleaner (and not smoky) compared to Saratoga.

Pin‑Up Bowl is a small bowling alley with only eight lanes, a big bar, and plenty of seating, and once our leader confirmed the credit card the whole thing kicked into gear with free drinks flowing right away, draft beers and a few cans and bottles and rail liquors, so I grabbed a beer while others went straight for rum and cokes or vodka and cranberry and the like. The food never stopped coming, trays of toasted ravioli and chicken tenders and pizza arriving again and again, and even with ten minutes left in the unlimited window the kitchen was still sending things out, which made the whole setup feel generous rather than timed or stingy. As for the bowling, it worked well enough for a place that has probably been running nonstop for years. Even though I haven't bowled in twenty years I still managed a respectable 125, which felt like a small personal victory. The machinery had the occasional hiccup, nothing dramatic, just the usual quirks you expect in an older alley, like the lane next to us needing to edit their scores a couple of times or a ball getting stuck in the back or a pin landing in the gutter that someone had to kick down manually, all of it adding to the lived‑in charm rather than taking away from the night. It's a neat spot on Delmar, easygoing and unpretentious, and our whole group had a great time, the kind of outing that works because the place doesn't try too hard and instead just lets people relax, bowl a little, eat a lot, and enjoy themselves. The bowling is fun, music is good. The people who frequent it, nice. The pizza i got after they made something I hadn't ordered and corrected it, was pretty good, though the bacon was not cooked in the center, (luckily I noticed before i got sick from it)....So I had a decent opinion of the place. Many decades of coming to many places in the Loop have always been fun, with my kids, and my mom..A lot of the business owners are dear friends for years.. contemporaries. we've fought for a great cohesive community and nurtured it. This woman had gone from being nice and assuring me I was good, to a Jeckel & Hyde thing out of nowhere, contradicting what she'd just said. Threatened me, menaced me. There was no catalyst. We were far away. I understand that people get tired, have bad days, but this was bizarre and highly inappropriate.

The pizza was big and actually decent for bar food. Nothing fancy, but greasy in the best way and perfect for soaking up all the liquor before the rest of the night. Prices weren't bad either, so it didn't feel like we were wasting money just stopping through. What really stood out to me though was how different the atmosphere feels now compared to back in the day. I remember when this place used to be PACKED -- more of a club/lounge vibe with DJs, crowds standing around, music going, and a lot more energy. Now it feels way more laid-back and honestly kinda vacant. It wasn't busy at all when we came in. The AC also didn't seem to be working too great because it was pretty hot inside, so we didn't stay too long after bowling. Still, there's definitely some nostalgia attached to this place and I'm glad to see it's still surviving over on Washington Ave.
